I loved Ou Chen the most in this drama. Yes, he's super possessive and made a lot of mistakes, but he changed throughout the drama. Whereas the FL kept making me question who she really was in love with or if she was pretending. I felt sad for the SL as well because he was in love with the wrong girl and the FL kept giving him hope that she might like him even tho she was alr (I think) moving on. Also, I don't like how they gave more air time for the SL for the first half of the drama, just made me pity the ML even more. And I can't believe the SL had kissed the FL about 6-8(?) times despite ML having dated FL first. Makes me question if FL really even liked ML in the first place. In the past, I could see that the FL and SL had more chemistry than the actual ML, no wonder he felt really jealous of them.
Overall, i loved the male leads but didn't like the FL. Would give it an 8/10 just for the MLs.
Because I've always heard this drama was a tear jerker, I assumed it was a tragedy where the guy will die from cancer or something so always avoided watching this drama. After watching MARS, I was looking for a drama to watch and came across this drama again and after reading the tags, I then realised this wasn't a tragedy and gave it a try. I should have watched this drama a lot earlier. It was so good! Planning to rewatch it in a few months. Vanness was so hot, I want him in romcom dramas! He's a really good kisser hehe ;P
Loved it! So many things happened in these 21 episodes that I thought I was watching 3-4 dramas rather than 1. 2 broken people falling for each other, mending their broken hearts and minds, healing each other. Couldn't have asked for more from this drama. AMAZING! "What I want to tell you is no matter what you do, no matter what happens to you, in my heart, you will always be the same. You will never change. We've both started out from tragedies, and then we met. We instantly picked each other out. We have to walk hand in hand. Otherwise, we will lose the courage to leave our tragedies" - Chen Ling
I really liked the main lead and Kara. Kara's character was interesting to watch as slowly the mysteries surrounding her are revealed by the ML but felt that the FL was boring. For someone who is strong, and in the police, her lack of suspicions regarding Kara led to her downfall. Like it was pretty obvious and strange that Kara was somehow related to all the cases like the ML pointed out but the FL just chose to trust Kara over her own bf.
Felt that it would have been better if the leads didn't get back together. If you can trust a criminal over your own BF, then just break up with him, you don't deserve him. As much as I liked their romance at the start, ever since Kara came into the picture, her lack of trust towards her own BF while believing the lies of Kara, made me wish they would just break up.
Will give it a 9/10 for the ML and Kara. Would have preferred it more if the FL had helped to investigate Kara along with the ML instead of how they ended it as Kara letting both leads live just because she might have liked/loved(?) them.
This drama is an underrated gem. I'll give it a 9/10. Really enjoyed watching it and made me remember all the sacrifices, big and small, that my parents had made for me.
I don't understand the comments and the rating for this drama. Many comments talk about how good this drama is while the mydramalist rating isn't showing it. EDIT: Just finished watching it and now I understand. The drama is good for entertainment purposes (with an unsatisfying ending that could possibly lead to a S2) but gives the wrong messages for viewers. I think they should give a warning at the start and end of each ep so people don't pick up the wrong things from this drama.
I nearly gave up on this drama after first episode because the actions of the tutor were so ridiculous that I was wondering who in the world would sit back and let him do whatever he wanted. I'm so glad I didn't. The story was really unpredictable, and I liked how I had to keep guessing who the ML really was and what was going to happen next. The ending was perfect for this drama! I would like a Season 2 please :D
Gosh, why do I always fall for the cute bad guys in all the mystery thriller dramas I watch :'( I loved this drama a lot and Kang Sung Mo as well! At first my heart didn't want to accept that he really did it, and then after that, all I could see was a broken man who lost the only girl he loved and hurt the ones he hold dear to his heart just to protect his mom from that bastard.
My rating: 10/10. I really enjoyed watching it. My heart wished that some twists didn't exist but without them, I don't think I would have loved this drama as much as I do rn. This drama could totally do a Season 2. The ending left many characters broken and we only got to see them trying to move on with their lives. I want to see the team back together and them healing their broken hearts. I want to see what happens to Sung Mo after he finishes his sentence.
After watching so many dramas where he's ALWAYS the second lead in romance dramas(and a very heart breaking one, especially in Who Are You), I'm glad he's finally the main lead in a rom com. Ever since I saw him for the first time in Coffee Prince 5 years ago, I fell in love with him and unconsciously, ended up watching most of his dramas. Loved him so much in Guest. Can't wait for Her Private Life to finish airing so I can binge watch XD
I can understand why Kim Ha Na wanted to be like Do Ha Na but I really didn't like how they handled the copycat issue. If it were me, I would be totally creeped out and keep a distance from her. It reminds me of Cheese In The Trap. I think it's okay to admire someone, but to go so far as to pretend to like something that she doesn't actually like is too much.
I've watch all of the remakes and I was surprised they were able to squeeze first season into a 2hr story, that was cute and nice to watch. Would recommend those who liked this to watch the thai version, kiss me, and itazura na kiss Season2(Jap version) if you haven't alr. My fav part of the story was always the second season, it's sad that the thai version didn't have it.
This drama was hilarious XD Watched it mainly for the female leads and also liked Lee Jong Hyuk's character. I'm a huge fan of Lee Yoo Ri's and this drama just made me love her even more :D
One of the very few dramas that made me fall for the antagonists even tho I guessed from the start who he was. I really hated how the writers had to kill 'him' off. They could have shot him in the leg or arm to distract him and he would have never died. I felt like from the start till the end, 'he' was the one who suffered the most among all in the drama, especially when it was implied that he was sexually abused when he was young.
Also, when the drama brought up the topic on whether the abusive parents being dead or whether the years of abuse that the children would have faced would be better, it really made me cry. I was mostly on the antagonist's side throughout the drama. I know murder is wrong, but I'm glad the children managed to escape from these kind of abusive environments. I mean let's be honest here, more than half of child abuse cases aren't reported and even if they were, the parents are always released due to lack of strong evidence against them. Many children hence have to suffer from abuse/neglect from their parents for many years, affecting their mental state. What kind of adults will they then grow up to be? Quite a number of characters in this drama suffered from some kind of abuse/neglect from parents. How did the main characters seem to you? I really wish they would do something about child/wife abuse in the world. I feel like strong actions aren't taken against it, considering most Korean dramas tend to touch on it briefly(which shows that it's pretty common).

Plus, I need a S2 for the drama please!!!
