Title The Rebel Spoiler
I am in love with Ga Ryeong and Gil Dong <3 I think they were a perfect match for this drama. Their love for each other was beautiful to watch. And I love how Ga Ryeong always followed her heart and made Gil Dong fall for her instead of waiting and hoping he likes her.
I also loved how his father's followers stayed loyal to him till the end. His father was another character I loved. I'm so glad he wasn't killed in the hands of his enemies but died by his son's side.

Title I'm Sorry, I Love You Spoiler
BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING! T . THas been a while since a drama has made me cry this much!
I think it's a good thing the mother never found out about what happened to the twins. I was frustrated at first but the more I think about it, the more it starts to make sense. At the end, Moo Hyuk never wanted his mother to find out about what happened to him and his sister because he knows that his mother will feel very miserable for how they had ended up. That's why he thought about how he at least wanted to be a good child who leaves quietly without anyone knowing about it and wanted to be reborn as her son again in the next life to pay back for all the misery he had cost her in this lifetime due to a misunderstanding.
I feel like Moo Hyuk was a bit selfish in that sense because he didn't consider what his sister and his mother would have really wanted. We have seen the sis crying for her mother so many times in this show. I believe her mother will take care of her since her brother donated his heart to her son, but she might never find out that she was her real daughter. Plus, if i was the mother, i would have wanted to know that my children were alive, irregardless of the pain and guilt I might feel.

I didn't think she followed him often. He offered her to join him on his trips. Because she is soo smart she won't…
I see, I see. Thank you for replying :) I'm glad they didn't follow the novel exactly and included more scenes for Tong Nian.

Title Go Go Squid! Spoiler
I didn't think she followed him often. He offered her to join him on his trips. Because she is soo smart she won't…
That's exactly what I'm trying to say. If she was any normal 19 year old, who's currently doing her undergraduate studies at uni and is smart, it would make more sense.
But she's already doing her postgraduate on top of double majors. University definitely isn't easy and to study everything so quickly, she must have spent most of her time on her studies rather than socialising and part time work. Well, even if she is so smart that she has the time to do all of this, she has been surrounded by grownups the whole time she was in uni but still manages to get along with all of them so well and yet still behaves in that manner, is a bit too unbelievable to me.
Also, if they had done something more with all the impressive skills Tong Nian had, it would have been even better. Like we only got to see her programming side throughout the show where she's creating programmes for the kids and AI stuff, and the singing part came and went after the first part of the show. We got to see dreams being broken, kids working hard for their goals and achieving them, only on Han Shang Yan's side but for Tong Nian, she's only there to support him, we rarely see her talk about her own dreams and goals that don't evolve around Han Shang Yan.
Just a reminder, I love this drama. Anything I said above is just how I feel they could have changed a bit to make it more interesting instead of all the flashbacks they wasted for Han Shang Yan's story.

Title Go Go Squid!
I loved this drama! 9.5/10 from me! Would have been even better without all the flashbacks at the start and the female lead could have been better written. For someone who's so smart, taking double major, plus masters at a very young age, plus does many part time stuff, I feel that she's a bit too childish and has lots of free time to follow him around everywhere. Her childish character matched perfectly with Han Shang Yan but considering her character's background, it still felt a bit weird to me(she seemed more like a middle school or high school kid).
Other than that, lovely drama with wonderful friendships, friendly battles and a really cute and fluffy romance :D

I'm new to K-drama so excuse me if I come off as someone hating on K-drama but is it me or are most K-dramas just…
Being a huge fan of romance, I was a bit sad to read that you didn't like the Kdramas you have watched thus far. I wouldn't recommend you to select dramas based on high ratings because everyone has their own tastes and sometimes I too disagree with some dramas' ratings. Instead choose a drama with your fav genres and story. Don't read comments and watch the first 2 eps yourself. Make your own judgement.

Like many others have commented above, K-dramas became popular because of its romance and now they are exploring and mixing more genres, but most will still include some romance at least.

I noticed that it's not that you dislike romance, just that you don't like cringey romance. So if you don't mind, I recommend you to check out "It's okay that's love". It's a mature psychological romance K-drama that I love.

Also, if you want horror with no romance, check out "The Guest".
"Save Me" is also a really good psychological thriller drama with a bit of romance but romance is not the main focus.

Some other K-dramas worth checking out:
- Prison Playbook
- Mother
- Signal
- SKY Castle
- Life on Mars(does have romance but not main focus)
- Defendant
- Dear My Friends
- Children of Nobody
- Beautiful World
- Bad Guys
- Kingdom (2019)
- Fiery Priest

If you are into psychological thrillers, I think Japanese dramas/anime are better. Old Japanese dramas have good mature romance stories as well(by old I mean like late 1990s or early 2000s). If you like political genre, check out Chinese and Korean historical dramas (Highly recommend Nirvana In Fire and Empress Ki).

Lmao, reviews say this drama is amazing while comments say otherwise. I'm still gonna give this a try since I love dramas that are unpredictable.

EDIT: Just finished it and liked the plot twists but there were quite a few things that I found really annoying about the mother and daughter. And the ending was okay I guess, rushed but not as horrible as others claimed it to be.

I would give this an 8.5/10 for the thrills. Would have given it a 9 if the mother and daughter's characters were better written.

This drama was beautiful. Just don't take the story seriously. There's so many things that I wish they had changed for the plot as I felt there were quite a number of plotholes. But if I ignore them all, it was an enjoyable watch with lots of humour. Shin Sung Rok was hilarious and also cute at times. And I srsly love that ending!
8.5/10 :)
On Jumong Jul 26, 2019
Title Jumong Spoiler
I'm at episode 13 and gosh I really don't like Soh Seo No. I feel she's too arrogant and selfish. Yes, she did save Jumong, but all the while saving him, the only thing going through her mind was what are the profits she can gain from it. It's as though she thinks of men as tools to gain more profits. When at the start, she overworked her men and gained double profits, she never thought it was wrong.
There are indeed hints of jealousy when she sees Jumong with other women which could possibly be another reason why she saved Jumong but nah, she only thought about profits when she heard he was a Prince, even if he was expelled.
I prefer Jumong's parents' love story. I'm not looking forward to see the romance between Seo No and Jumong unless Seo No goes through some difficulties and changes. Her attitude really irritates me right now.

Just finished rewatching this and man I really miss Yoo Ah In. Why hasn't he acted in any dramas for the past two years >.< He's such an amazing actor and I'm in love with most of his dramas.

I'm wondering why this isn't so popular. This is SO DAMN GOOD! Yes, the pacing is kinda slow so if you are not into slow dramas, you might not like this one but I felt that the drama was consistent throughout and is definitely worth a try. I believe this drama does deserve the high ratings it has.

Honestly, I dropped this drama 3 times. I couldn't understand why the ratings were so high for this drama. I picked…
They should have ended the drama in 18 episodes, which would have been perfect and the romantic scenes between the leads in the last episode could have been made as a special episode.

OR

They should have added more episodes to explain the ending and connect it to the parallel world from which Sun Woo disappeared from. I've read some comments saying that the parallel world vanished since Sun Woo no longer exists in that world but that just makes most of what we have watched so far as things that never really happened because Sun Woo now stops his hyung from time travelling.

If his hyung doesn't try to use the incense, then wouldn't everything go back to how things were in episode one? Because there is no "future Sun Woo" time travelling to the past to get the evil guy arrested as the Sun Woo from the future no longer exists in that world.

Honestly, I dropped this drama 3 times. I couldn't understand why the ratings were so high for this drama. I picked it up again today and just finished it. I think it was the ending of ep 4 that hooked me. The first few episodes were pretty boring but the plot twists following episode 4 was what got me hooked. The plot for this drama was amazing! Yes, some of you might spot plot holes and things that just don't add up but entertainment wise, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this whole drama.

As for the Female Lead, I wasn't a huge fan of her at the start either. But like I said, things got better after episode 4 and I started liking the Female Lead more towards the end of the drama.

Giving it a 9.5/10 because I'm not fully satisfied with the ending.

Title Unrequited Love Spoiler
Just finished watching it and the love story was beautifully written and shown. Don't understand why the rating has been decreasing because I think it was a pretty good watch except the romance is slow. I think this drama was more realistic than any other dramas I've watched, and except for the main couple pairing, it was hard to predict the other couple pairings as many of my ships sunk which just shows how love is unpredictable and can change over time.
Would give it a 9/10. Would have given it a 10/10 if there weren't so many things happening in the last few episodes with a very short but sweet ending for the main couple.
On Angel's Last Mission: Love Jul 17, 2019
Most disappointing drama of 2019 for me -.- Poorly written story and a large difference in the acting abilities of the leads. The drama did have a lot of potential but everything went downhill from episode 5. What was with those horribly written villains? How is this a rom com?? It has more melo than a melodrama. How is this a beautiful love story? More like the characters were too unrealistic and naive, thinking God will show them mercy after breaking apart so many other couples. And that ending, wow, it really made no sense at all.

If it weren't for Shin Hye Sun's amazing acting, Ji Kang Woo's interesting character(which also had a lot of potential), cute romance scenes, SHS' dance scenes, beautiful OSTs and cinematography, I would have dropped this ages ago. Willing it to give it a 7/8 just for SHS and the OSTs.

Yeah, I was expecting something like Goblin and Healer when I saw the ratings.

I know right! The second half felt like I was watching a poor remake of Romeo and Juliet where both leads were ready to sacrifice their lives for each other without the other knowing about it(which could have easily ended in a tragedy) -.- and the villains were just so crazily obsessed about ruining Yeon Seo that their actions were too extreme and poorly planned.

I also think this drama is overrated. Went in with high expectations and now I'm disappointed. I did enjoy watching…
I felt the same way. It was unfair that only Dan had a happy ending while all other angels who fell for humans mostly had tragic endings.
