Eps 33 to 35: There are so many poignant, touching and heart-breaking scenes here! I cried a bucket of tears 😭. To highlight some:
- Zhan Da Peng's death because of the fire in the warehouse, the firefighters' reactions in the hospital (shock, pain, anger), and Li Nan breaking down when she found out (he just asked her out on a date!). The ceremony to honor Da Peng, with his parents present, was very touching 😢.
- When SY was set-up for accepting bribe, it was comforting that his boss had an unwavering trust in him. Way to go, boss!
- Li Nan crying alone in the theater (good acting by Liu Chu Xuan; I felt her pain).
- Instead of moving to headquarters, SY decided to stay in Shi Li Tai because it would be elevated to an elite fire station, and he would like to lead the efforts. XQ wasn’t happy because he made this major decision without talking to her first. Plus, she resented that SY refused to tell her what happened to him during the past 10 years, like how he got the gunshot wound. I could understand how XQ felt. She went against her parents to be with him, but she felt he didn’t trust her enough to tell her.
Ep 36: Here, we have the lover's quarrel (with SY wooing XQ 😍) and ZM's big reveal to XQ. I love that ZM told her the truth. She really loves SY and wants the best for him and XQ. Love her character!
Ep 37: This is the confrontation between XQ and her parents, and the "smash the family portrait" episode. That was an intense scene. Good acting by WCR, she was very much into the scene. In this episode, Ye Zi finally showed her true intent on MYC.
Ep 38: This is the “justice served” episode. FWY almost knelt down fully in front of ZM, but ZM stopped her, for XQ’s sake. FWY surrendered to the police for the crimes she did against SY years ago, in exchange for ZM's evidence that can clear MYC's name.  Although they allowed her to go out on bail because she surrendered and due to her health issue, I think it’s still satisfying because it was a big blow to her, and even her accomplice was taken into custody. XQ's dad started the reconciliation process by visiting XQ and SY's family.

Ep 39: This is another sweet episode - house reveal, proposal, wedding photo-op. ZM was the overall in-charge of the wedding preps. It’s so cute of her to try on the wedding gowns and taking pictures for XQ to choose 😊. Towards the end, a natural disaster loomed in the horizon.
Ep 40: We see the typhoon rescue operations, SY rescued FWY, who eventually accepted him as future son-in-law. There is family reconciliation and happy ending for all.
I would have wanted an actual wedding where they exchanged vows in the presence of their families and friends. But overall, the drama ends on a satisfying note for me.

So I finished FOMH last night, and I'm satisfied with how they concluded the drama. Everything tied up nicely. I have a wish or two, but it's Ok, they don't affect how much I liked and enjoyed this drama. I have some comments on eps 33 to 40 and tagged them as spoilers below.

Yes agree, they're so cute together 😍. I watched the full episode last Saturday. I was laughing so hard when they (all the teams) were playing the games 😂.

I have 3 more episodes left, will watch later after work. But so far, I'm still very invested in the story after watching eps 33 to 37.

Episode 32 is just so sweet and touching 😍! You can see SY really loves XQ with the way he took care of her after they had a couple of drinks and she was tipsy already. I like the scene when XQ was pouring her heart to SY, and how he assured her when she told him her fear of losing him. I also like the part when they played in the snow. Both YY and WCR nailed their scenes here IMO.

The new year gives hope for better things to come. At the same time, after watching previews of eps 33 and 34, it gives me the feeling of more changes and reshuffling of things.
