SO much bi#ching here over ships and tenuous pilots. Chaps, give the actors a fu#king chance! Jesus wept, it's ridiculous, we haven't seen anything yet.
"Thoughts people?"The last 5 episodes were rushed, because of this restriction of 40 episodes (the story could…
The only 3 Cdramas I've watched to the end this length were: Blossoms in Adversity (loved it, the ML is a favourite, saw him in that other one handsom siblings, but that was not so good), Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty (so romantic, but the Manchu haircuts aren't the best haha), Joy of Life (season 1 only so far, it was epic) Is this up there in that league? I was considering Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1 and My Heroic Husband
I'm always surprised by the average rating for this, it's easy one of the better BLs. Sure, its smaller scale but the plot is original, tackling real issues and a credible twist well rooted in solid character development. This is one of my favourites, perhaps 2nd only to I feel you linger in the air. How on earth can dross like cutie pie have a higher rating than dna says i love you? I simply don't understand
Let's normalize not to rate the drama with high score when you don't like story but love the actors. What is point…
The point is, in the original novel, they did end up together but it was Yai's reincarnation (Jom had been time slipping). I'll admit rather than this thing they'd be better doing a proper season 2/3 and completing the story. Guess they wanted to deliver the happy ending without properly completing the story?
I like the lead couple, but every time I see 'based on a MAME novel' my heart sinks. Now, I have not seen this, nor read the novel it's based on but given its MAME let me take a wild guess and say she's going to be normalising some sort of deeply troubling behaviour or something lol. Unsure if I should watch this or not...people tell me if I should or not please, I've been stuck for BL for ages.
I have high hopes for this, been wanting another BL Thai period setting since I Feel You Linger in the Air (though I am managing my expectations here, given how sublimely good that one was)
all y'all bitching about the lack of James and putting JJ down need to cool your jets. eegads people. can't you…
Agreed. If you need a Thai period drama in the meantime there is always I Feel You Linger on the Air' (uncut). If you have seen it, then yeah, like me you're stuck waiting haha
Cutie Pie is my favorite bl of all time. Everything from chemistry, easy to follow story, discussions on LGBT…
Hard disagree, the relationships are all toxic walking red flags, none of the characters show any character development, tropes galore from miscommunications to weird childish overreactions not remotely reflective of adulthood. I love BL, but this was a hard drop for me. As a gay man I actually feel really let down by this drama, big budget, talented stars and the worst script in history all while it reinforces and normalises deeply unhealthy red flag relationships.
Perhaps I saw a different drama than other people, but I ended up dropping this. Hill-Easter: Hill looked bored through most of this, and why is Easter an adult acting and behaving like a whiny child? We still having to deal with this in 2025? Johan-North: while they both were easily the more engaging couple to watch, the whole using money to control element was a seriously red flag not okay plot device. It would have been fine, except this drama NORMALISES it to a degree that makes me -a gay man - seriously uncomfortable. Additionally, it really made me dislike Johan, thereby stymieing my ability to invest in their relationship. Seriously, weaponizing money to control a partner is so not okay. And yeah Boston, we fu#king get it already.
