You're giving off heavy doses of homophobic bigotry. 'Gay' isn't a synonym for negative things you know. Plus,…
Your comment literally uses 'gay' as a synonym for a negative thing ("is kokdu gay his acting is so gay"). You did precisely as I described.

Plus, by saying "his acting is so gay" you're clearly stating you think 'gay' behaviours exist. I reiterate you're giving of extremely homophobic vibes, maybe you should think before writing your nasty comments. Us gays aren't sensitive, we just refuse to put up with the prejudices of others, it's 2021 mate, get with the program already.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Episode 12 is precisely why these things always lose my interest. Down a fucking rabbit hole about a different set of characters, amnesia and trials. I really don't care about this bloody fishy princess character and the good war God. No interest. At all. Don't care. Skipped whole of episode 12 basically. Probably going to drop the series if this goes on much longer. Just get the fuck on with it.

Can't remember this, but I notice I've marked it 'dropped'. Giving it another chance. Wish me luck!

You're giving off heavy doses of homophobic bigotry. 'Gay' isn't a synonym for negative things you know. Plus, there is no such thing as 'gay' behaviours, take it from me - I'm gay and know much more about it than you. Clearly. Jog on.

Do you mind sharing what your advice was?
I will answer you, but first a little context: I lived in China for 5 years, and it may legalise gay, but it's an incredibly conservative culture - far more than even S.Korea. My Chinese friend (she speaks 4 languages fluently and studied in my UK home town where I met her) is told she is a 'left over woman' 'cos she hasn't married by 30.

So to answer you: I told the student if she trusted a best friend, share with him/her, be proud and not ashamed...but don't tell your parents until you graduate and are financially secure.

I never ever thought, having grown up in the UK, I'd advise being semi-closeted for a time, but I had to put her interests first. As I say, I stand by the advice, communist China is incredibly homophobic, I got a free pass 'cos I was white (white privilege is a thing over there). I imagine she approached me 'cos I am gay and never hid it, though made sure to not be too loud in the Peoples Republic, just thought it important to be visible in a culture where that's not a thing. But those students need to live in it, permanently

Horrific ending, ruined the series by rendering all the 'reborn' episodes effectively meaningless. Tragic shame, they should have stuck to the original material.

The story was too short. It make me fell they didn't have enough time to give an interesting ending. But... I…
Trans and intersex aren't necessarily the same thing to be frank. Don't lump them together. The former is a gender identity issue, the latter is a sex based biological issue. Profoundly different in critical respects even if they heavily overlap.

Loved it. My first 10/10 award. Heavy doses of food for thought.

Finished Taiwanese drama 'DNA Says Love You' & I'm in tears. Unexpected, only watched it to practice my mandarin. But...never seen a romance drama touch so powerfully on themes of facing reality growing up intersex, realising you're gay & identity insecurities. Wow. Must watch.

On a personal note, it reminded me of when I was teaching in China, at the university in Shandong. I recall a student coming to me in tears after a module and asking me if she should tell her parents she was a lesbian. I'll never forget that conversation. I can't forget my advice

Was my advice correct? I stand by it, but I always think each day how she is doing. Educators have a powerful role. mmm..

Title About Youth
This...this is excellent. I've never felt such adoration for a series before. Quite stunned. Wished it was longer, genuinely. Fantastic acting, script, plot. Just beautiful. I ignored this for ages due to the high school setting, more fool me. This, this is stunningly good.

New favourite. Only my second 9.5/10 ever. I think I'm in love, if only it were either longer terms of more episodes or had longer episodes overall. Needs a second season for sure. Christ, I've fallen in love with this.

as a bl fan since I don't remember when , the golden rule I always apply is to not watch ep 11 till ep 12 is out…
coffee melody avoids the ep11 curse, but some say it's too slow paced. Personally, I loved it, as it focused on believable issues and kept itself grounded.

Genuinely baffled by the comments saying 'nothing happens' or 'its boring'. Plenty of drama in this, it's just not melodramatic or over the top. Charming series, with lots of real life challenges and heartbreak and hope. Absolutely loving this series. Everyone should ignore the negative ninnies and give this a watch.

I think this is the first time in bl history where I saw both male leads straight up admit they liked each other…
I recommend lovely writer, it also avoids much of the silliness of the BL genre, focuses on hypocrisies of the BL entertainment industry but retains the comedic element. Had me crying three times as that series developed.

Title Cutie Pie Spoiler
I've struggled with this. I love the ML actors, they do wonders with an incredibly poor script. So 8/10 for the actors but a woeful 2/10 for plot, character development. I wanted to like this, but I just can't. Toxic relationships whose problems could all be solved with a 20 minute private conversation. The ending was...dragged out (Kuea and Lian's issue at the end - their entire 'problem' - was just a result of a script writing team with a dearth of ideas. Seriously, Kuea & Lian could've wrapped up their issues by episode 7). Furthermore, the ending does nothing to resolve the fundamental issue that Lian's character a worrying control freak and Kuea's character is reduced to having the emotional capacities of a child. I'm still left scratching my head at how a good music score, good budget, solid pro-gay rights message and excellent cast was so let down by shoddy and unimaginative script writing. Frustrating in the extreme, big let down for me.

Okay. I wasn't going to watch this due to negative comments about too many flashbacks or 'its too slow' etc, but pleased I ignored them. First two episodes hooked me, and I even enjoyed the flashbacks (and I say that as someone usually averse to dramas using them too much). Looking forward to episode 3!

This sounds remarkably similar to A Girl Like Me. Jan 11 premier.
Yeah! I was just thinking that myself!

I'm thinking about watching this, am seeing lots of criticisms citing a lack of "melodrama", which actually makes me want to watch this 100% more. There's too much over the top plots, ludicrous plot devices in Kdrama these days (amnesias or sudden uncharacteristic break-up-come-back-together etc). 'Less is more' appeals to me.
