This episode was really touching. The only thing that bothered me, was having Yu He telling Le Chien the truth about Amber. . I know it was done, in order to continue the storyline, but that was something that was Amber's truth to tell, not hers
I'm happy for ep 11, cause i'm forever team Soh. Idk, I just prefer the vibes that SohMon gave, yes saint has…
Exactly. I mean, Mon basically acknowledged that he knew that Saint always had feelings for him, but never said anything to him. Since their high school days.
I'm glad that So finally got his head, out from his own ass, regarding being honest with Mon, about liking him. I'm sad that Saint got hurt by Mon, not being able to return his feelings, but he never ever felt anything other than friendship for him. I've been a Saint in my high school days. It's painful to not have your feelings returned, and I'm glad that this series had Saint admitting that he could still be friends with Mon, it's just that he didn't want to be friends with him.
I felt for poor Pond. Ugh. It was nice to see the gang, rally around him, in order to try and get his mind off of Amy for that night. It made me think of Oh-Aew, and his college friends from "I Promised You the Moon", and Toh, Som, Jao, and Daisy from "Secret Crush On You".
That might be bad writing, translation or sth because in bad buddy all the conversations made sense
For "Bad Buddy", the director, and screenwriters actually focused on making sure that the conversations, especially within the main pairing made sense. There has to be an concertive effort to want your script, scenes, and dialog to make sense to your viewers.
Kuea is not the one with the toxic relationship tactics. He's the one trapped by them. Kuea's been failing to…
Yup. Basically Lian and Kuea need to take some time apart. Not living in the same house. Not abiding by anyone else's demands of taking care of, or behaving for the other. They need to be able to see if 1) a friendship can be established, and 2) learn to see if they can also trust one another, after all the manipulation, miscommunication, and lies that fueled their initially attempts to have a relationship as adults, so that 3) their mutual love and desire for one another can actually have a chance to thrive.
[Episode 11 notes]Oh, no. The Economy! True villain of Cutie Pie π±π±π± (I don't know why this is so funny…
"First time I looked for a post credits scene in CP. It was a mistake. And disturbing. Wouldn't recommend."
That product placement ad for Ponds face cream was absolutely horrible. Kuea is basically shown as the "little woman", who's not allowed to leave the house, while Lian "provides" for his every need, just as long as he gets his "prize" in the end. Then Kuea scurries offscreen.
I get that Kuea is childish, and he knows it, but he was literally raised, with the mindset of someone was going to take care of every important thing in life that matters for him. As long as he "behaved"!
as much as this show feels like a dumsperfire,, i dont see people talking about one of the main problems i have…
Many viewers have brought up the grooming situation in this series. I just don't think the EPs, the director, nor the screenwriters actually thought about how to actually adapt this novel, that would make sense to viewers in 2022. If this was 2013 to 2019, I don't think that viewers would have had that thought, when watching these episodes.
This series is poorly written. All of the couples storyline are poorly written. The side characters are poorly…
Look, if they can't even creatively adapt source material from a novel, how in the hell can they come up with something utterly original on their own?!
It seems to me people talking trash about Toh weirdness and saying the show is glorifying problematic behaviour…
There is a ton of communication between all these characters, and I love that communication is actually shown with all of the pairings. None of this "it shows that communication is vital to the growth of the relationship", but no actual scenes of these couples talking to each other.

Sigh π π π
A perfect comment regarding Kuea's role in the lives of his parents, his former fiancΓ©, and his own life.
He called his Mother, to try and find out the truth, and she straight up lied to him. He then went to his fiancΓ©, and asked him about the situation, and Lian yet again lied to him. The only reason why his Mom told him the truth, was because she overheard their conversation, because Lian hadn't had time to end his call with her.

I was dumbfounded by Diao saying that out loud to Kuea's friends, and him being outright proud of telling folks that he, a 20 year old, had a curfew.
"Did you get your nut last night? I finally got mine!"
