Which drama has how many comments count is not important to us. As long as people enjoyed their stay on the page, that is what counts.

Douban score often do not mean much, especially for those dramas that Dilraba act in. She is famous for having lots of anti-fans in China. And lots of these anti-fans will flood Douban to rate down many of her dramas.

Oh, if you are referring to the comments that were deleted by the MDL admin and the comments that we deleted on our own, back when this page was being choked up, yes, those deleted comments do count. Because we could see the comment counter number went down, once those comments were deleted.

When I said deleted comment don't affect the comment count, I was referring to some of the comments on the page of Immortality. There were time I saw some messages there one moment, the next they were gone, yet the comment the number stays the same.

Different things could be happening on this page. The system on this page could have linked the deleted comments to the counter, because this page was being choked up. It could not move at all. When we typed, our messages became very slow.

I think on the page of Immortality, your page was not choked by the number of comments, hence those deleted comments did not affect the counter. Your comment number is high, but each thread is short.

But back in May-July last year, our comment threads were very long. It means when someone starts a thread, 10-20 responded to it, causing it to be rather long. We had many threads like that. The admin people at MDL explained to us, this caused the jam on this page.

Fully agree with you. Here, we moved on from statistics long ago, as the drama was aired in April to May last year. We merely hang around here to encourage newcomers to watch this drama, if they have yet to do so. As this is an award winning historical drama from 2021.

Over on the page of Immortality, I know lots of you are suffering, while waiting for it it to air. So, engaging one another in messages to console others is one form of activities you do while you wait. If all of you find meaning in doing that, there is nothing wrong.

For us, all the old timers who used to here from last May-July have already moved to other MDL pages. Some people don't understand that, and bring the comment count to this page, thinking there is some kind of competition, when there is none.

I am not on the page of Immortality, but I do read many of the comments there. And many times, people were sending messages to each other with the goal of hitting higher and higher comment targets. I have seen that kind of messages countless of times, which is why I called it spamming. So, I do not think I am being disrespectful at all. Just what I saw people doing, and calling a spade a spade.

At other times, yes, there are indeed exchanging of information. Very intense ones.

No, I do not really care about the viewcount on the page of Immortality. Even if you hit 100k comments, it does not matter one single bit to me. The MDL people already mentioned to us, as far as they are concerned, they could care less about comment count. So do many of the people here.

I did not join this MDL page, to want this page to be the highest. I joined it to enjoy wonderful discussions with people who like this particular genre of drama. And the people on the page of Immortality, all of you can enjoy your wonderful discussions with people who like that particular genre of dramas.

If you are suggesting that the people behind FLQ are trying to entice her, you would not be wrong. But that may not work, unless something must be turning her off from taking up Ball Lightning. Guess we just do not have enough all those 'hidden' information that she and her team are privy to?

Yes, CNY is not far off. At most, we need to wait for a month, to know what is her final decision. Once we know her final decision, we can work backward and deduce the way she made that final decision. And whatever she decides, we will support her new drama.

We have two concurrent items to wait for. The airing date for TBW, and her next project. And while waiting, I just watch Cupid's Kitchen. Mirror Twin Cities is still messy at the moment, plotwise. That may clear up later.

Each passing day with no official announcement from Youku points to the likelihood that TBW will air in Jan is very slim. An online article out of Jakarta, Indonesia, mentioned a leak, saying that it might air in early Feb. How early is early? First week of Feb? If so, it will still catch the Chinese New Year crowd. Pehaps Youku executives have already seen the Olympic Schedule, and there are no big clashes with the Games, so they are not afraid to launch it even during the Games?

I do not know how reliable that leaked airing date is. But the lack of official announcement this late in Jan does mean that airing in Feb is more likely than airing in Jan.

I think the accuracy of prediction depends very much on the amount and accuracy of information that we can get. Her fans in China likely received lots of information prior to her picking TLB as the drama she will act in. Perhaps the producer or the director or both, had already released information that they both wanted her as the FL in that drama.

After her great success in 2021 (TLB and YAMG), and then picking up two big winners to act in, in 2021 (TBW and LOA), she must have received lots of offers.

Given that scenario - the presence of multiple options - and the lack of information regarding who are the producers/directors who made those offers, it is truly difficult to make accurate predictions.

If we follow logic, her next project should be a modern drama, because she already filmed two historical dramas in a row (TBW and LOA). A third historical after those two may make others feel that she is only good in doing historical. And viewers may really want to see her in another modern drama (after her great performance in YAMG).

And regarding modern drama, she really won't want to do another one that is too similar to YAMG. Especially if she wants to expand her acting range. Hence, if we follow logic, Ball Lightning does seem like a really good fit. It will push her out of her comfort zone in modern dramas (rom-com; romance type dramas).

She must have learned how to act in a sci-fi drama back when she was still in the acting academy in Shanghai? If so, she has nothing to be afraid of. And if the director is good, he/she can always teach her during filming. She is a fast learner, we can be sure of that. So, if the script for Ball Lightning is good, budget is good, director is good, if we follow logic, she should be picking that one.

But every option comes with pros and cons. Perhaps she is still grappling with the pros and cons of the many options before her, and still could not decide. That, and the fact that she has all these commitments to film all those commercials, likely forced her to delay her final decision.

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. If she intends to go back to Xinjiang, who knows? She may even want to discuss with her folks, ask them for some opinions, some input, to aid her in her decision. Perhaps she is totally filial and wants her parents to be the first to know, before announcing to all her fans which drama will be her next project.
