Do you mean swap in the sense Leo will go with Lusi and Reba will go with Yu Ning? Half of it is true. Leo is…
I have not read the novel, and have no intention to read the novel before the drama is aired. I only wanted to assure Gong Jun fans that there will be no love triangle between Anle, Ming Xi, and Han Ye. So, at this point in time, I really prefer not to know too much details of the plot, or it will spoil the fun I have in watching the drama.
WK1, I really hope your comments ring true and the drama stays faithful to the novel, at least in regards to relationships.…
I have no doubt about that. Read my post carefully. I said that is what Gong Jun's fans in China feared. Not that I think he will play 2nd fiddle. And honestly, even if it is 2nd fiddle, as long as it is significant, I do not see anything wrong.
Far too many novels have been written with all the attention given to the male lead, with the female lead playing a secondary role. Has to do with the Chinese society, which is male dominated. Only in recent times, we have more female authors who dared to write stories with greater focus on the female hero. TLB is one good example. For modern dramas, a good example will be Nothing But Thirty (2020), which was very popular in China.
Wow! I see that lots of Reba fans are already here! Someone heard a rumour that Reba's latest drama may end its filming around first half of Nov. If there is any truth that she will be the FL in Ball Lightning, I think we should get some confirmation by mid Nov, or whenever filming for Legend of Anle is done.
Indeed!! She merely needs a short break in between filming those two. We know how hardworking she is. She will be able to manage filming those two dramas, back to back

I really do not think Rao Jun will do that. If you reference his two lastest historical projects (Ancient Love Peotry 2021; A girl like me 2021), both do not have love triangles. FL sticks to ML. ALP was very well received in China and overseas, with viewership just slightly below that of TLB.
As to whether he changed the plot, I do not know. You know me by now. I do not like to read source materials. Interestingly, the source material for ALP is also the novelist of An Le Zhuan, the source material for LOA. Like Xia Da, the artist for the source material for TLB, Xing Ling is a lady. So many are suspecting LOA will be female-centric.
This was the original concern of many Gong Jun fans in China, fearing that Gong Jun will play 2nd fiddle to Reba. If Rao Jun is smart, he is likely to expand Gong Jun's character (relative to the novel), so that GJ's fans will be more supportive of LOA.
latest rumors say filming will end on (+/-) nov 11
If this turns out to be true, it is certainly good news for this drama. Better to finish in early than late November. And once done with filming, I think they will start post-production immediately. They will proceed at full speed ahead, and not be too concerned with the post-production of TBW. This way, if TBW is further delayed by whatever reason, we may well see LOA being aired first.
For us, who are Reba fans, it really does not matter too much which get aired first. Our preference will be to see two Reba dramas being aired in 2022, rather than just one.

It is alright to be a fan of Reba and Yunning now. It is your freedome and choice. But, I do feel that when LOA is aired, and it becomes clear that Anle has chosen Han Ye over Ming Xi, you might want to consider switching from Yuning to GJ. Or else, when you watch this drama, you might feel very disappointed each time you see Anle close to Han Ye.
In TLB, we supported the GeSun couple because Li Changge and A'sun chose each other. Likewise, here in LOA, we should support Anle and Han Ye, if that is their choice. If nothing else, I think our viewing pleasure will be greater this way.
I suspect, in this drama, once Anle has made her choice very clearly, Ming Xi will back off. I am watching a drama now where the FL has made her choice very clearly, yet the third party refused to back off. Lots of viewers hated that third party.
I do not think Yuning will want to play a character that is like that, because that will leave a very bad image in the mind of viewers, so much so, they might even dislike him for his next project.
That might just be the case, and it would fit Reba's schedule perfectly. If we check her bio, she had zero drama aired in 2019. Some people said this is Reba's way of ensuring the same thing will not happen again, by filming at least 2 new projects a year.
Legend of Anle will finish filming by November 2021. I think Reba's studio will release her next projects soon after that. She has nothing slated for early 2022. Even if this rumour turned out to the true, she still has time to film another new project in Jan 2022, which is likely to be a modern drama (else, it will 4 historical dramas in a row!).
Birdlady in the post below mentioned it some time ago. We'll see if it turns out to be true.
If this is indeed Reba and Yang Yang's choice, there is nothing much we can do about it, but to wish them all the best.
Magic Blade was aired in 2012, which is quite long ago. If they film the remake in June 2022, we will only get to see it in late 2023. By then, it would have been 11 years since the original drama. Most people would have forgotten about the original drama.
I went to YouTube to catch the first episode, and then realised that I had already watched it some time ago. Plot wise, it is quite interesting, with some unexpected twists and turns. Viewers complained that the original drama did not follow the novel. The FL can fight, and we know Reba loves to act in FL roles as a woman who can fight, as opposed to one that constantly needs protection from the ML (reference ELOD, TLB, TBW, LOA).
So, if they can do a successful remake, it will not be so bad.

Please do not worry. As you can see my message right at the top. I am trying to discourage people from hating those whose opinion might differ from theirs.
At this stage, none of us has seen the script. So, everyone's opinion must be held as equally valid. Expressing personal preferences is natural; it reflects our wishes, which may or may not the same as others.

I do not know too much about Rao Jun, but those of us who have been following Reba knows she likes to play a character that is decisive. In TLB and YAMG, both Li Changge and QJJ are decisive women who know what they want and do not waver. I am confident that when she read the script for LOA, before agreeing to take up this role, she must have found Anle to be equally decisive in this regard.
To be honest, I find her tails ugly. With black, it might look even uglier because it's hard to use shade for…
I think the best proof of her versatility is when she moved from filming The Long Ballad to You are my Glory within a very short period of time. And she did it so well. I think that must have impressed a lot of drama directors.
Good to bear in mind, the main protaganist, Li Changge, was about 14 years of age in Episode. This might help you understand some of the decisions she made. The episodes moves rather quickly from one to the next with lots of actions. I do not think you will get bored.

But, the main focus of the drama is not really romance, but character growth for many of the main characters. That is very strong in this drama.
Shu Yu did not end up with anyone.

We can only know the truth, when LOA is aired.
I am reminded of YAMG. Both QJJ and Yu Yu have exes. But they dumped their exes and got together
