I think she is getting disproportionately more than her fair share of haters precisely because she is not Han Chinese. There must be lots of racist viewers in China who are envious of her success and want their own favourite Han Chinese actresses to do better than her. Hence the large number of anti-fans that she has attracted. Good thing is that she has learned to ignore all these negativity and just focused on her career.

With regard to TBW, I do have faith in this director. He directed Reba in ELOD and TLB, and both dramas did very well. Reba's confidence in Director Chu must have been a key factor in making her sign up for this drama.

With regard to the trailer, I am not too concerned. I think whatever that can be rectified will indeed be rectified by the time the drama is aired. Those who have read the novel mentioned that it is a great story, so the director will stick to the key storyline and take out only those portions that are secondary or unnecessary. Using ELOD and TLB as historical data point to predict the future, I think all those 6 points that you mentioned wil be easily met in TBW.

I am optimistic that we will see a great drama, once this drama is out.

I actually thought it might take us till end of the year to hit 4B. But The Oath of Love got stuck. With little or no competition, YAMG continued to pile up the views. So it looks like we are hitting 4B even before the year is out. This truly is an amazing drama!!

Indeed we had a great time exchanging views on the last two dramas of Reba. Yes, I also agree that post production should do a good job and not rush. Ideally, it should be good and fast, but sometimes, things do not always go according to plan. In that case, we would wait and see a superior product than rush and see an inferior one.

TBW finished filming in June. In theory, it should air before LOA. But we never know what can happen during post production. We will keep our ears to the ground and look out for official announcements from Youku.

Do you mean swap in the sense Leo will go with Lusi and Reba will go with Yu Ning? Half of it is true. Leo is pairing with Lusi for the other drama, but here in LOA, Reba is pairing up with Gong Jun and not Yu Ning.

I will add to you comment. My comment is not about the moment when Changyi flipped out of the water, and whether it looks close to the way a fish will wriggle out of water. It is more about the shape of that tail.

One article quoted viewers from China as saying that tail is shaped too much like a fan and does not resemble how a shark's tail looks like. I googled and found that most sharks have tails that shaped like a Y, without any layer of skin or film between the two upper arcs. Like, a muscial tuning fork, if you like, and you bend the two upper parts outward, to get a Y and there is nothing in between the upper arms.
I am not 100% sure, maybe that what those viewers are referring to.

2nd point they made was that the tail does not look powerful enough. This comment could have come from readers of the novels, who imagined Changyi has a very powerful tail, and the trailer does not show his tail to be powerful enough.

Whatever it is, the CGI team at TBW must already be aware of some of these negative feedback, since the release of the trailer. If they feel that these feedback are valid, I think they do have the time and ability to make the necessary changes, and we will get a superior product when the drama is finally aired.

For your info, I did not rely on Wikipedia as my primary source of info. It was a convenient preliminary search, and for all the other winners of this same category, the award turned up on their wikipedia page, and hence I had expected it turn up Lusi's page as well, but it did not, till many days later.

I usually do not rely on a single source of info, but use multiple sources to cross check each other. And there were lots of online articles that reported on the awards, and many of them did not mention Lusi's name as one of the winners.

Even the very official video of the award ceremony itself, seen in YouTube, the announcer did not announce her name at all, when all the other winners' names were announced.

When there are so many pieces of conflicting evidence, it is only natural for anyone to question whether it is indeed true that she won. I was only convinced when I saw the photo above. Even for the photo, I wish it was taken at a better angle. I cannot even see her name clearly, nor can I see it clearly if she won it for her role as Leyan in TLB.

Do not feel bad about this. Even if it was announced that Reba had won something, I would have done the same level of checks, to make sure that all the facts are correct.

Do not be too concerned about all those labelling in all those pages. We have watched the drama, some of us multiple times. We know who are the true main characters.

I suspect some of those people actually do not mind joining us in our exchanges. They see the amazing chemistry we have in our messages and wish they could be part of the party, but somehow cannot seem to like Reba's performance as much as we do, even though it is clear Li Changge is the main female protoganist in the drama and Reba did a superb job.

Oh, it is ok. School is important. Certainly more important than commenting here. I thought I will see you back here sooner than this, after we started on making those episode summaries and had to abandon it, as we just ran out of people who had the time to do it.

I float as well. Cannot just survive on Reba's dramas, or we will have nothing to watch till next year. Hard to find dramas that are comparable to TLB and YAMG, but quite a few are 'passable' and we can easily kill time watching those while waiting for TBW and LOA.

Lots of Reba fans are already over on the page of TBW, and more will arrive, closer to airing time.

You have Viu, and yet you cannot watch TLB on Viu? That is strange. Maybe even on Viu, different programmes are aired in different countries

She has two big hits in 2021, plus some new endorsement deals. Her next two projects are going to be big as well. Her career is going one way: Up and up

She loves to act. I suspect she will want to marry someone who will be agreeable that she continues with her acting career even after marriage, which is great for all of us who love to see her on the small screen.

Watching this brings us back to the days of May-Jue 2021
