And we are able to do it so quickly, because the view number is in the Tencent Video App itself. For some dramas, may need a longer route to find out the viewership number, and many people will no longer be keen to know view numbers.

You have asked a very good question. I think they will end the count only with the free version. Because not all Chinese viewers bought the VIP for this drama. So, the final count should be the one when all episodes have been watched by every possible viewer who do want to watch it during its airing period.

Since this drama is so popular, as can be seen by the crash of both viewing platforms on Monday night, I suspect the additional view count for the free version will not be very high.
