For those still concerned that The Oath of Love will soon overshadow YAMG, don't. I believe that one is a love story between a doctor and a musician. So, rather different type of story, industry wise (YAMG has a celebrity/actress, which is entertainment industry, and aerospace). I saw their trailer. They do have a kiss. But, not to worry. You can be sure, the kisses there will not be as passionate as the kisses in YAMG. YT kind of job, they see rockets blasting into space. They are used to visualising heat. And QJJ is an actress. So, they can both kiss passionately.
Doctors on the other hand work in air-con room. They are hardly used to heat. And doctors like to ask people to open their mouth and stick out their tongue, to check their throat. They are so used to seeing so many tongues, so when Dr Gu (played by XZ) kisses Zhi Xiao (YZ), it will just remind him of another tongue. YT is different. The only tongue he has seen so far is his. So, just out of curiosity, he would want to know how does QJJ's tongue look and feel like. So all the passionate kisses make a lot of sense.
Then, we are told there is a bedroom scene coming up in YAMG. Now, doctors are used to seeing beds. Lots of them. Hospital beds. I don't think there will be any bedroom scene in TOOL. Will just remind Dr Gu of hospital beds.
So, there you are. Very different types of dramas, cathered to slightly different viewers. TOOL will likely have a more serious tone to it. We have already seen that YAMG has a more playful tone. Over at the MDL page of TOOL, they do not even have the 'comedy' tag. Here in YAMG, there is.
So, we can enjoy both. There is no duplication of plot; main leads are totally different.
Hopefully those YY and ZS shippers will give this drama a try. Lots of them won't watch any of YY dramas because…
Didn't she have a relationship with another guy? I think they broke up. But still, why would they continue to ship her and YY? These must be die-hard ZS fans. YY fans would have run far far from ZS, after what happened to her.
The King's Avatar is purely about gaming. There is not romance or nor hint of romance in that drama. For YAMG,…
If you do like romance, and romance that is slightly more mature than the version in FIYS, you will like this. The game they play in FIYS is different from the game in YAMG. But, they are both esports type of game. So that should be ok for you. In any case, you are already at E12, so the gaming part of YAMG is about to end soon. The exciting part is coming up.
The King's Avatar is purely about gaming. There is not romance or nor hint of romance in that drama. For YAMG,…
There is no need for you to reveal your exact age. But, hopefully you are 22 and above. If you are too young, some of the up and coming scenes may well be too 'steamy' for you. This drama is targetting at viewers slightly older than Falling into your smile.
The King's Avatar is purely about gaming. There is not romance or nor hint of romance in that drama. For YAMG,…
Oh dear! You have not watched far enough! You need to keep watching. The really fun part about YAMG comes around E19 and thereafter. If you are just at E12, you should keep watching.
I found this drama extremely boring compared to King's avatar :/
I did not watch King's Avatar, so here is an honest question. What is the difference? What makes YAMG extremely boring compared to King's Avatar?? The storyline? The game they play?? Or what?
Let me repeat. I am really trying to find out the difference between the two. So, not attacking you in anyway.
No they don’t, this is fantasy and drama not real life, shipping actors is unfair I think. They should be allowed…
They are fully grown adult actors/actresses. It will seem childish to international viewers, but their fans in China expect this sort of thing. If YY seems uncomfortable, maybe he is not used to this level of marketing for a drama. But Reba is pretty used to it. Their fans will react positively to this. Shows their commitment to promote YAMG, and in the coming week, the fans will respond in kind by making viewership for this last leg of the drama go sky high.
I don’t know man, some of the things Korean and Chinese actors have to do to promote a drama, or album are so…
It has happened before, both in Korea and China. Celebrity couples who acted in dramas, who went on to date in real life, got married in real life and they did not ruin their career. But these couples fell in love on their own, not because of shipping behaviours by fans.
If they were to date in real life, their respective agencies would usually make public announcements to the effect. Or else, it is merely speculation by their fans.
It's almost 2.4 billion now. It might hit 3 billion by Monday.More overload of sweetness coming.
This is not possible. To hit 3B by tomorrow, Beijing Time, we need an increase of 600M views by Monday. That is an increase of 600M views in a single day. That is just not possible. The fastest is by Friday-Sat.
First 20 episodes or so was amazing but the second half was utterly disappointing Formulaic and repetitive storyline,…
The part about them forming a 'formidable military partnership' was a bad summary (whoever who wrote it). Otherwise, everything is perfect. The main antagonist was that the guy, if by the guy you are referring to Sheer. The main villain is the lady, Princess Yicheng, who died in the first in the final episode. She did not turn good. Sheer was never all that bad to begin with. He was just very competitive, as he thought he always needed to show that he was better than Ashile Sun. After Ashile Sun's adoptive mother died, he more or less realised his mistake and was already turning good.
As you do not know the background of this drama, you might not have known the key focus. This drama was based on a manhua (Chinese comic) and in that manhua, the main protaganist is Li Changge. And the main focus of that manhua was on her character development (and not romance). Here in the drama adaptation of that adaptation, they added more romance. Still, the two screenwriters never meant for romance to overshadow the character growth of Li Changge.
So, the main storyline is actually to show how Li Changge change and grow, from E2 onward. How she had orginally wanted revenge. But, as the series went on, she realised that there were bigger things than her selfish motive of wanting revenge. So, she began to think of what is best for Tang Dynasty. This change happened all the time, throughout the entire series. Till the very episode, when she realised exactly what was most important to her.
If you did not or could not see this change, you there are some posts written in the recent discussion sections up above. I can guide you along to understand things better.
By the way, this is a historical drama with real people in history, real places. But the two key characters in the story: Li Changge and Ashile Sun, they were fictional characters created by the manhua artist.
I've been watching quite a number of kdramas and chinese drama. Honestly, have not really felt like shipping a…
Do not waste time and energy shipping Reba with any of her male leads. After TLB, lots of people shipped her and Wu Lei. They pointed to lots of lots of evidence. So many, we lost count. So now, no point shipping her and Yang Yang. She is a just a very friendly person. In YAMG, and in real life. So, she is going to be friendly with her male co-star. The promotion she did with Yang Yang, on their own initiative, she did some of that with Wu Lei as well, for TLB. Do not read too much into that.
Hi to the two of you, my fellow TLB lovers. Somewhat surprised to see Linh here, as she said she preferred historical…
Yes, previously, when you alluded to the fact that your teenage daughter was going to watch this, I was just wondering if those scenes were a bit too much
