I don't know if i should start watching this. Dramas this year with very popular leads have really disappointed…
I would like to second MK916. This drama is really good. The popular leads all acted very well. The story is great. The music is great. The cinematography is great. The chemistry between the leads is great. Some of us got hooked after the first episode and would keep going, and when it ended, we wanted more

Xanxia genre that follows the formula of TMOPB will slowly die off. The plots are indeed highly predictable. But Xanxia is quite broad. There are lots that do not follow that formula. Those will still be ok.

He has already been given another opportunity. I think he just finished filming a Wuxia drama with Zhao Lusi, which should be shown by early next year.
Apart from flopping in Martial Universe, he acted in a Xanxia movie with Li Yifei (Once upon a time 2017), and that movie was also somewhat of a flop. So, if he flops in the up and coming drama with Zhao Lusi, it may well show that he is more suited for modern drama.
I think all actors and actresses in China, to show their superior acting abilities and gain more fans, would like to excel in both historical (xanxia or wuxia) and modern dramas. Yang Yang is no exception. We wish him all the best for his next historical drama.

But, you cannot miss out many of the dialogue. and only focus on scenes that involve actions. The dialogue will reveal who is the mastermind behind many of the schemes.

I think I will speak on behalf of all the Dilraba fans here. We are super proud of our girl, and that she will be able to have good chemistry with whoever is the male lead. It happened in TMOPB, Eternal Love of Dream, TLB. And now, the soon to be filmed Legend of Anle, with GongJun.

I don't think there will be any war between Reba fans and Gongjun fans in this forum. Many of us pivot over to this page from The Long Ballad, and we started that drama not being a fan of Wu Lei but ended the drama amazed by his great portrayal of Ashile Sun. There was zero fighting between Reba fans and Wu Lei fans there. By the time the drama ended, we all ended up being GeSun fans (nickname for them as a couple).
Likewise, if you go to the You Are My Glory page in MDL, you will not see any war between Reba fans and Yang Yang fans. Everyone there gets along with everyone else very nicely. We basically know that we need fans of both sides to get along well, so that when neutral viewers visit the page, they do not see fan wars. Many of us are not Yang Yang fans, but we can sense we will also end up liking him, after YAMG.
Likewise for Gongsun. Many Reba fans here are likely not to have watched a single of his previous dramas. I am one of them. But neither I have watched any of Wu Lei's drama before TLB, nor any of Yang Yang's drama. But I ended up admiring Wu Lei (after TLB). So, it will be same case here. As long as Gongsun does well, and we have no doubt he will, we will also end up following his dramas after the Legend of Anle.
We are also smart enough to ignore all the stuff in Weibo. There were some people who also tried to start some fan wars between Yang Yang fans and Reba fans. But that only happened in Weibo, not in the MDL page. We are aware that some people could be pretending to be Yang Yang fans, and start attacking Reba, which in turn provoked reaction from Reba fans. We did not fall for that trick, because at any moment, if you were to go to the MDL page for You Are My Glory, you will not see any fan war. Both Yang Yang and Reba fans are cheering the drama, wanting the drama to succeed. That drama will be aired soon.
In TLB, there was a second couple (Zhao Lusi and Liu Yuning). There was indeed some friction between Lusi fans and fans who prefer Reba and Wu Lei, but it was handled very respectfully. The friction is all but gone.
If there is indeed a second couple in Legend of Anle, and we know that Reba and Gongjun will be the main couple, we just need to make sure that we do not offend fans of the 2nd couple. Or, if there is a love triangle, we do not offend fans of the third party who comes between Gongjun and Reba.
Liu Yuning also acted in TLB. For sure, Reba fans will not be attacking his fans who are here. He acted well in the role that given to him in TLB. No reason why he will not do well here. We can differentiate between the character and the actor. If he is a good actor, even if the character he plays is a 'bad' one, he will be respected.

And ethnically, she is an Uyghur. If she were a Han Chinese, there is no doubt she will be even more popular. Particularly in China. There are still many racists around who do want her to be as popular as the top tier Han Chinese actresses

No need to feel sad for her. She is doing very well in China and she has international fans all over the world. All popular actors and actresses have haters. It is very common. But the people who like them and admire their acting are far more than those haters. So, we do not need feel sad for Dilraba.
