Yup. Video is a still bit ambiguous, even when highly enlarged. They filmed that last moment at such an angle you cannot really tell for sure if they did or did not kiss. And his comment at his interview is also ambiguous.
Dilraba is not adverse to being kissed in a drama, under normal circumstance. But we are not sure how she feels about it in a pandemic.
And so many of us suspect We Lei has that clause in his contract. So, best we can say, we just don't know. This drama finished just 2 months plus ago. Maybe they don't want to say too much about it. Perhaps a year down the road, they will tell us the truth??

Yah. So despite no kisses between Wu Lei and Reba, and the use of animation for many of the battle scenes, we must be so grateful that the production team brought us this amazing drama in the midst of the pandemic

Definitely more than 100 people. Camera men, director and his team, the cast members, make up people, etc.. And they were in very close contact with each other during all those many rehearsals.
Also, at that time, I am not 100% sure, but I don't think all these people had taken their COVID jabs yet. But they would have taken those tests, to indicate that they were free from the virus. Still, it is better to be safe, than sorry. If even one person caught the virus during the filming, the whole project would have to be postponed. And all these actors and actresses, they have lots of projects lined up one after another.
If the filming of TLB had bee postponed, we may have to wait till 2023 before we get to see it.
So, we ought to be very very thankful that we got to see what we saw, even though we were sad not to see certain scenes.
I need a more elaborate and longer story for our Hao du and Leyan. Can't get enough of their chemistry
This drama is based on a manhua (comic), and in the manhua, Leyan was not even part of the story, as her character was not in the manhua.
In the drama, they added her, very likely to increase viewership. The main focus of the manhua, and hence the drama, was always going to be the life and journey of Li Changge. I recall you saying you liked the Li Changge character very much and that Dilraba did a good job portraying Li Changge.
There is no way the screenwriters and director would have given a longer story for Hao Du and Leyan.
And chemistry is a very subjective matter. A huge majority of the people in this forum feel that there are lots of chemistry between Li Changg and Ashile Sun, through their excellent body language and intimate one-on-one conversations.
The executioner puts his sword against AS's hair. I'm like, 'Take that sword out of there!! You're going to accidentally…
They did this deliberately, to add to our anxiety and get our hearts pump faster. But, we all knew, AS is the main male lead. No way they were to kill him off so cruelly.

Indeed if we take into consideration that filming was done during the height of the pandemic last year, all the more it is likely that they did not do any mouth-to-mouth kiss (with or without that no-kiss clause).
In lots of the BTS, we could see Dilraba still wearing mask. So faking that kiss was still the safer option.

Even with this close-up shot, it is not possible to tell with 100% certainty if they kissed or did not kiss.
In the actual scene in E40, the intention of using of those parrots and the blurring of the scene, and Dilraba tipping of her feet just prior to this, all meant to convey to viewers that they did kiss. That much we know. But, during the actual filming itself, did they really kissed? That is hard to tell. It is indeed possible that they did not kiss, but merely tilted their heads to give the impression that they kissed. So, technically, if Leo has a no-kiss clause, he would still have met the condition of that clause.
I think there's a bit of misunderstanding in my comment lmao. Let me try and reiterate it in a more specific way.…
Great! I know that as a whole, you love this drama. If there is anything else you wish to know, please do not feel bad to ask. Lots of people here will be very glad to explain things to you. Or, it may not be questions you have, but something about the drama that really touched you, you can start a new post right at the beginning of this page, and share with us

I know what you saying. But a number of people were already saying the director and production used far too many animation to replace some of the critical scenes in the drama. I think as far as was possible, they do try to avoid using too many animation. Hence, they just decide to blurr out the scene and show the two birds kissing, rather than replacing that particular scene with animation.
It does seem that you are a fan of animation. I don't mind those animation as well. But apparantly, some a number viewers do.
falling into your smile ( modern drama ) or goodbye, my princess (ancient drama) !!
Many people here are following the drama of Dilraba, so we are also waiting for YAMG. Will be starting very soon! If you like Xianxia drama by Dilraba, you can also try Eternal love of dream
A good question that many people asked. Are you aware of the high possibility that Wu Lei, the actor who portrayed…
Yes, I do recall we discussed this like months back. I think Bambi is relatively new. It is only right that we explain things to her, so that she can understand why certain things are done this way in TLB.

In some ways, I am glad that TLB isn't heavy on those kisses (there were two between Mimi and Mujin, if I recall correctly). Too many, and this drama would have lost its main focus of showing Li Changge's character change as she journey through all those events from E1 to E49.
So, yes, I would say that all those body language between Li Changge and Ashile Sun, and their many sweet one-on-one conversations was more than enough to convey wonderful and powerful images of love and affection between the two of them.
Let's not misunderstand Bambi. She likes the TLB. She is just wondering why no kiss scenes between Changge and AS,or why they have that blurred out kiss scene in E40.

Welcome back! I think you took a long break??
If I am not wrong, Wu Lei was kind of a last minute replacement for the original male actor who was slated for the role of Ashile Sun. So, if Wu Lei has such a clause, they really have no choice but to respect his wishes. I remember, just after Eternal Love of Dream was aired, he said he had wanted Dilraba and Vengo to have even more kisses or that their kisses to be even more passionate. So, director Chu isn't one who is shy to ask his leads to do kisses. Something must have stopped him in the TLB, and that clause in Wu Lei's acting contract is very likely the reason
