Same here. Still watching. Re-looking and re-listening to every dialogue. To make sure I pick up every nuance in every micro gesture, tone of voice used by the dubbers, etc. A show of this complexity, such beauty, we just don't want to miss anything.

I think Yi Cheng's backstory could have led her to do what she did. From young, she was shipped off the grasslands. I remember someone said this, she was treated like a royal prostitute, passed around from one Khan to another.

What she did, ruling by fear, was probably the result of what she saw what all those Khans did. They must have ruled by fear, and not love

I think pretty much all the OSTs were great. Even the one by Lusi. It was used in that first date, when Changge dated AS vis those messages hidden in a box, and they met on a hill between Mobei and the grasslands. That scene, when they met, her song dropped, with the lyrics on the side. Those lyrics match that scene to a tee

Xia Da is not a young girl. When I first saw her face on the internet, I thought, wow, what a young girl. When I read her profile, she is already 40. She must be very familiar with all the plots used by many screenwriters, novel writers. She must have hated all those love triangle stuff. So, no love triangle in all her manhuas.

She must be very pleased with the way this is handled in TLB.

That is for sure! TLB will not see the light of day, if LSM is portrayed negatively. The production team did not even want to show scenes of him killing his brother. In history, he killed two brothers and pretty many of their family members, particularly all the male ones.

I think xinchao is just afraid if this Simon guy has a bad reputation, it might turn off some viewers. And this might affect viewership of this new drama. But like the two of you, I did not hear anything bad about him. No scandal or anything like that. If there was anything serious, like videos of him dating multiple girls at one time, you can sure, the producer or director would not have cast him as the ML (if indeed that is the case, because I read the comments section in that drama, and it seems that nothing is confirmed).

Very nice collection. Somewhat compensated for those animated battle scene. Those who like epic battle sequences can watch Rebel Princess. But even those battle sequences could not save that drama, despite the big budget and some really big names.

You are not dumb. That conversation between Wei and Changge, perhaps you were distracted by other things and did not listen carefully.

This drama is like that. They do not want the series to be too draggy. So, sometimes even missing one some conversation here and there can cause you to miss out on the way the screenwriters wanted to tell this story.

All of your analysis thus far showed that you are not dumb, but very preceptive. For some reasons, you did not focus on that conversation. It provided the reason(s) for many of the ways characters in this drama behaved toward each other.

Changge was the result of Lee Jiancheng's rape of her mother, when he was drunk. She was the result of an 'accident'. Lee Jiancheng never truly loved Changge's mother. And because Changge was the result of that accident, he never truly loved her. And also because, somehow, when she was a baby, Changge never responded to his gestures, but did respond to Li Simin.

I feel that it was only mutual in Episode 31. Not possible before Ep 11. Because it was only in E16 that she found that he knew she was a girl way back in E5. Prior to E16, Changge was always under the impression AS thought that she was a guy

Even after E16, many of his romantic overtures received a lukewarm response from her. For instance, when he gave her the luminous stone or brought her to see the fireflies.

I think the emotional part of her as a girl mature at the Liuyun Temple, when she had more time to think. Prior that, she was always in motion, doing one thing after another. Not really reflecting on many of her actions or AS's action.

With more time to think and reflect, she grew and understood all of AS's action toward her. And that resulted in her writing his name on all those papers at the Taoist Temple.

In fact, if you look at the scene in E31 in detail, she was still thinking that he hated her. I think it is around 34 mins into that episode. Thereafter, she realised he did not hate her. With her emotional level catching up to hers, she then responded in mutual love. That short scene was a flashback scene and it occured just before their running scene. And you can see the change in her facial expression, because at the running scene, her look was one of affection.

From E31 onward, the way they respond to each other will be totally changed. The way they looked at each other, talked to each other, etc.

She always know she is a female gender wise. I am referring to identity in the sense of feeling like one. Changge has always behaved like a boy, having interests like archery, horse riding, war strategies. She does not 'see' herself as a girl, or fully understand how a girl show feel
