Can't related either way, tbh. I never have time to rewatch anything and rarely feel the urge to, anyway. Even…
Autumn Carrot. Just wondering if you finished watching the entire series? The comment section here moved so fast, I know I asked this before, and you were having so much trouble with Mimi role, I wanted so much to share my view. But wanted to make sure you finished the drama, before I do so
Many of us here suspect, once you watched TLB, many dramas out there will become unwatchable. Romantic comedies…
Exactly the same thing happened. After watching TLB, I also dropped about 3 drama. I dropped Court Lady after 2 episodes. I found the male lead far too childish, comapared to Ashile Sun.
I dropped a romatic comedy. Found the plot rather shallow. And then I watched another drama that says it has a strong female lead. I dropped that after a few episodes, after reading comments that they overused misunderstanding between the male and females leads to make the drama drag and on; and I also found the female lead to be not as strong as Changge, and the male lead keeps bullying her.
So, I now stuck. Just come back to re-watch some episodes of TLB, and make sure I did not miss out anything important.
No sure if anyone has written about this. I went to re-watch that shooting arrow scene again. E. 13.
I watched it multiple times. Moments before AS released his arrow, the camera shifted toward Changge's armour plate. And then shifted back to his aim. He lowered his aim, to make sure that the arrow will not land on more critical part of Changge's body. When the arrow did land on Changge, the camera shifted back to his face.
"What did I just do? I just shot the woman I love"
But Changge stood up. The look on his face changed from anguish to relief. "I shot her at the right place." At the shoulder area, Changge will survive. She is one tough cookie.
At that point, he had at least 5 more arrows in his quiver. Anybody else was standing there instead of Changge, he would have drawn another arrow, and another, till he is shot through and through.
But it was Changge standing there. So he ordered his troops to retreat. The next scene showed him with Mujin, he even wanted to sneaked into the city to check and make sure Changge is ok.
These are little gestures of his love for her, gestures she would know later when Mujin told her.
Here we go again...The “Ashile Sun After Effects...”:(I never thought that I would miss Ashile Sun that much.…
Many of us here suspect, once you watched TLB, many dramas out there will become unwatchable.
Romantic comedies usually suffer the heaviest casulties. You will find their humour shallow
Dramas that say strong FL. After seeing what Li Changge did in TLB, you will probably say, that FL feels like a sissy, compared to Changge
As for ML, there is none out there who treats their partner like Ashile Sun, full of respect and total protection, even if it means putting hiw own life at risk
The Changge-AS couple also makes other couples totally outclassed, in terms of mutual love and respect, open communication, trust
Haoyan couple may be more commonplace, but the two actors did well to communicate love and affection with what little screen time they had as a couple.
When you add up everything that TLB has to offer, the music, the cinematography, the plot, there are few dramas out there right now that can compete.
As a result, many people here just come back to the Long Balled and keep re-watching it
Do not take my word for it. Just scroll down and read some comments and you will see what I mean
Do you keep refraining from watching E49, because you do not want this to end?
Don't worry too much. Even if you do finish E49, you can always come back to re-watch. That is what many of us are doing. It will take a long time for many of us to be done with the drama.
And there are so many ways to re-watch. Our favourite scenes, scenes we do not understand 100%, or even back to square one, from E1 to E49
It was very very difficult for Mrs Gongun. She had to choose between following her husband, or remain behind to…
I also enjoy reading your insight, when you said AS was treating CG a bit roughly initially. I had to go back to relook at all those scenes, before I could venture a guess to what the screenwriters could be trying to do.
I think the two screenwriters are really good. They wrote all the character really well.
But with regard to the progression in the way AS treated CG, I am not 100% sure if credit should go to the screenwriters, or to the director. If everything was already set out before filming, credit goes to the writers. But, if it was the director who wanted to show this when filming starts, credit goes to him.
PDF will be great! If it can be done at all, you can send us the link and many here will love it!!
I have this feeling, reading the manhua will make us appreciate the drama even more. Particularly those who want to see more romance in the GeSun couple. I was told there is very little of that in the manhua.
Also, the manhua has no visual and audio effect like those in the drama. But reading the manhua will probably help us appreciate Xia Da more. How she could even conceive such an unique character like Li Changge.
Someone should compile a video, showing all the moments when arrows were used in this drama. Would be rather epic.…
This video could be as epic as those one-to-one combat scenes. Especially if accompanied by the right background music, maybe even with slow motion, to emphasize the flight paths of those arrows. I recall that many of those scenes were quite amazing, when they showed the flight of those arrows in slow mo
E4, he did not yet know CG was a girl. Sun threw water at her, to relieve of the effect of the aphrodisiac. E5,…
Yes, I think it this was entirely to show the progression in the way he treated her. First, when he thought CG was boy. Then, he was a bit frustrated when CG did not know that the wine was meant for her wound and not for her to drink.
Screenwriters also wanted to show Sun's progression in learning how to show affection to the girl he loves, in the right way. Particularly a princess from the central plain.
You can see that all his later gestures will be very gentle, very affectionate and even shy at times. Think of that scene when he put that beautiful red coat on her.
When Changge was staring at Sun while he was holding her hand and running away...Changge your in love! Your in…
Yes, they were now ready for each other. Previously, they were equal or more less equal in military intelligence. Physically, CG showed she can match Sun in that cuju ball competition. Emotionally, Sun is slightly ahead. Not surprising. He is 5 years older?? And guys have their hormones up earlier than girls.
But now, after the reflection at the Liuyan temple, and hearing from Sun that he has forgiven her, whatever mistake she felt she had made in causing his mother's death, she knew that this is the person she can trust.
Now, they can start a relationship where they are at the same level emotionally. One layer at a time, she will remove her attachment to being a tomboy and more to being a woman worthy of his love.
Bear in mind, she was likely to be only around 16. A high school girl, in modern context. Those who are expecting full body embrace could have forgotten her age in the manhua, because they were looking at Reba (28 year old).
We will see more and more meaningful gestures from her as she matures emotionally the rest of her journey.

Feel the emotion of CG, when she thought that her parents were killed by Li Simin
AS, when his mother died
Changge, whe gongsun couple died
Changge when A'Dou died
Leyan, when Ah Wu died
The whole gang of them, when Mimi died
We felt less sadness when the Khatun died or when Lie Mong died. They were the bad guys. Difficult to feel pain for bad guys
But this is a drama with war setting. And in war, lots of people die
Our two main couples did not die, but they felt deep pain, and as long as we can identify with those pain, there is emotion
And there are so many ways to re-watch. Our favourite scenes, scenes we do not understand 100%, or even back to square one, from E1 to E49
