I think TLB is anchored after some real historical events. As long as we know the Xuanwu Gate Incident well, it is not too difficult to understand. But here, no real historical background to the story. Lots of stuff deal with spells, so they had more complex words, and the dialogue became heavier and more difficult to understand. But, we do not need to rely completely on the dialogue. A combination of the dialogue and actions should help us to get along, even without Eng sub.
