This is similar to when “Love and Redemption” and “Word of Honor” was airing! We had to wait for subs…😭😭😭
I see! Those are Youku productions as well? I think Word of Honor is.

Subs are just not available there yet.
Exactly. Xiao Xue seems to know how to do it. Let me learn from her and then I will share with all of you.

Hahahaa. I'll kill them in Youku !!!!😱
I am afraid to say it, but I think many people here feel like doing the same thing as you. It is a good thing many of us are not allowed to own guns. Otherwise, many executives from Youku would be killed by tonight.

I know you are just kidding. So am I. We just need to let out some air and frustrations.

4 episodes are out? why does it show only 2 here then?
My strategy is just to watch on unofficial channel now, but will watch on official channel later, when the subs are out, to support all the cast members and the production team. And to be fair to the producer as well.

Oh, actually VIP members can get 4 episodes in China, today. The unofficial channel that I watched these episodes, I think it 'grabbed' these episodes from the Chinese platform.

In April after the drama end
I know how disappointed all of you must be. We have been waiting here since Sept! While I can watch it in Mandarin, I am frustrated too, because I cannot discuss anything with anyone.

Ah, the struggles of not understanding Mandarin or reading a word of Chinese.
Have you read the novel? If you have, even watching all the action might be enough. You will at least understand what is going on, even if you may not understand the dialogue. And then, re-watch in April, when the subs are out.

@WK1 thanks for the link. I have finished watching raw episode 1 in Duboku without understanding anything. But…
Great! If you could understand, because you read the novel twice, perhaps others can do the same? Even if they do not understand Mandarin? Don't have to understand everything, but at least the big picture, which you seem to be able to.

I keep coming on here hoping to see streaming platforms listed showing which ones offer subs but there is nothing.…
This is a new experience for me as well, and so many others who have waited for months!! Youku may have been ready for the domestic market, but for us, they were not ready at all. I am a bit fortunate, as I could understand about 50% of the conversation and can watch it on those unofficial platforms. For the great majority of you, it must be quite disappointing.

I am told, the subs will be out in April. in official platform. Will likely be Youku or Croton Megahit.

Theres already a schedule but yeah I'm seriously surprised theres no eng subs for international fans..
You are correct that they rushed it, in so far as international viewers are concerned. For viewers in China, it should be ok. They can view it on Youku's platform in China. But that is available to us and it does not have Eng sub.

They must have been under some kind of pressure to release it early in China (while not prepared for the Eng sub). Maybe Youku has lots of dramas to air, so they were forced to do it quickly, and did not take care of us, the international viewers.

Kisskh, dramacool, etc are not official platform, they don't have their own subbers, they take the subs from original…
You are correct. No subs in any of those unofficial channels.

I can’t believe Reba has another drama with this platform . Praying she never takes another youku drama. What…
It is a real pity, why they did not take good care of international viewers. Don't they want our money?? We were prepared to pay for subscription. Rather strange.

On The Blue Whisper: Part 1 Mar 17, 2022
I have already finished watching all 4 episodes, raw. I do not understand all the fine details. But, the big picture, that is not difficult to understand, even for a person like me who did not read the novel. But I can understand quite a bit of mandarin.

If you are looking at CGI, there is no question in my mind, compared with other Xianxia dramas, this is high quality stuff. But, the pace of the story, it could be quite fast. No wonder they only need 22 episodes for Part 1. I think the pace is faster than ELOD.

I am not sure those who did not read the novel can follow. Even with Eng sub, if you did not read the novel, the story may 'appear' rather fast. It has nothing to do with the editing. Editing is ok. It is the pace they used, while filming this. It moves quite fast, all the conservations, and actions. You really need to concentrate and follow, or you may get lost.

If you have read the novel, I think it should be ok. Even without Eng sub, watching it raw, you might still understand some of it. After all, all the main characters are : Ji Yunhe; Changyi; Lin Hao Qin and so on. You look at their actions, you compare it with the novel, you should be able to understand what is going on.

You can watch it again later, when they sub the entire series.

The sad thing is, since most of you have not watched it with Eng sub, I cannot engage all of you in commenting. I will need to wait till April, when you are able to watch with Eng sub. If we discuss too much now, it may spoil the drama for many of the rest, who are waiting for the English sub.

Please feel free to ask me any question, if you have. I will try my best to answer them.

Have Dilreba and Allen done their own dialogues or are they overdubbed?
They were dubbed, and the quality is good. First of all, the sound from the dubbers and the mouth movements of Reba and Allen are totally in sync. I can tell, as I understand Mandarin.

Second, the dubbers' voice matches the emotion of Reba and Allen. This is what I can tell from E1 and currently still watching E2.

All the dubbing in the latest 3 trailers were also excellent.

I finished E1, without reading the novel in advance. May I know if you read the novel, before watching E1?
Even without reading the novel, I find everything to be smooth going, thus far. E1 is just a intro to all the main characters. Please be careful. You might be a bit confused. Because beginning part, to the part when the FL started to have short hair, they occured at different times. You need to read those Chinese characters by the side, which explained the correct sequence of events. If not, you will get confused.

With regard to the special effects, or what is commonly known as Computer Generated Imagery, what we see in E1 and E2 can be considered as good quality. If this is your first Chinese Xianxia drama, you might find it strange, but this is how it is normally done in a drama of this genre. It is definitely different from Hollywood CGI.
