I must have watched Flame's Daughter at least 3 times, and listened to that song multiple times as well. Very nice song.
She is a very good dancer. But she has a very low singing voice and has to struggle to hit the high notes. If she has a powerful singing voice, coupled with her amazing dancing abilities, one can only imagine, she would have had millions and millions more fans in China (and around the world), on top of the millions she already has.
Does anyone know when this drama is to start filming? That might give us an idea about casting for it.

Seems they did. There are now two Gao Xins!! Tong Da Wei should be placed to the left of Reba, if he is the ML. Older Gao Xin should be to Reba's right.
All of us here are so so happy for Reba. May this drama provide the springboard to the next phase of her career, at least in modern dramas. There are so many 'serious' roles she can play: doctor; adventurer; army officer. Even a female astronaut?? There are two female Chinese astronauts. Someone can write a script based on the life of one of these women and Reba can easily play the role.
She can continue to play slightly more romatic roles in historical dramas, so her acting abilities will continue to be stretched.

How about The Story of Yanxi Palace? Have you watched it? That is a very good one. Then, there is Ruyi Royal Love in the Palace, which is somewhat similar to The Story of Yanxi Palace. Most people prefer Yanxi Palace, but you can watch the first few episodes and see which you prefer.
