Don't worry. We shall know the correct version soon. Reba has had more than 2 months of non-filming rest, just doing red carpet events, promotional shoots for magazines, commercials, gala events. She should start filming soon, and that means we will know all the details regarding Prosecution Elites.

I do not think the director for this drama will make the same mistake as the director of Love Designer. If Reba is the main lead, she should get the most air time. The others should get less air time. How much less is another question.

The lack of promotional materials is in line with airing date in April. If they show us too many stuff now, they will just raise our expectations of an earlier airing date. If broadcast date is in April, we should only expect rigorous promotion to start around mid-March.

Haha! I guess I am one of the many who preferred Yanxi over Ruyi. But I do agree with many of the points you made. Zhou Xun is a great actress. Many said her voice is more suitable for the time when she got older (in the Ruyi drama, I mean).
I also agree that Wei Yingluo seems to be able to get away with just about anything. Many viewers are actually aware of this, but like the rest, I find her character rather spunky and charming. And Wu Jingyan was a relative unknown, when she played Wei Yingluo. Viewers in China love new faces who can act, and hers was just a breath of fresh air. The Wei Yingluo character may be written not too realistically, but Wu Jingyan's portrayal of that character is faultless. I checked wikipedia, and it shows that she won 5 acting awards because of Yanxi Palace. She alone cannot account for the great success of Yanxi, but I think she contributes most to it. BBC commented that in 2018, Yanxi Palace was the most googled TV show on earth. In real history, Wei Yingluo, later Imperial Consort Ling, gave birth to 6 children! Considering how many concubines Qianlong had, the drama's portrayal of her abilities to charm Qianlong in bed, at the expense of the other ladies, is quite accurate. Not just charming him in bed, but actually getting good returns for all her effort.
About Zhou Xun, what can I say? That lady has won just about every prestigious acting award there is, and hers is about 5 times longer than Wu Jingyan's! I did not watch Ruyi, but read lots of comments about her performance and, like you, many said her performance was impeccable.
