imo this is just a mediocre series wrapped up in pretty packaging. I can understand the frustration of the viewers who expected smth serious after reading 'mafia consigliere' in the synopsis or found the humor to be very off-putting. I have watched the other works of writer and felt like he just rehashed it with more polished production. I ended up dropping this around 5 coz I couldn't warm up to any leads + got tired of tediously long eps filled with a whole lot of fillers.
And lets not make a bold claim that we, as an intl audience, are pushing the envelope of korean series or take the ratings on this website as a standard for a series esp korean ones when we have DAYS as the top rated airing series. It is one of the most flaccidly written, mind numbingly boring fantasy series I've watched :/

same here. i expected that the character will be used as a prop for some cringey jokes and nothing more :/

'Goblin' had quite a horrible pacing imo. But it looks better when compared to pacing in this one. It also had decent SLs who had some screen time and relevance to the main plot unlike the ones here :/

As someone who did not liked the romance in 'Goblin' at all, that series still offered better world building and interesting SLs/side characters who had an engaging dynamic with leads. This series is lacking in all the aforementioned aspects.

I am liking the dynamic b/w Hwi Oh and Min Kyung. this might turn out to be a decent romcom. there hasn't been one this whole year :/

there're better series airing in Mon-Tue slot. also there's nothing special about this series except cast. everything else is same ol' same ol'. writing and execution is mediocre and below.
and this website has a known problem with inflated ratings of korean series esp romcoms.

She has to get out of romcoms and do other genres imo. I recently watched 'Hush' and I think she would've been good as FL.

nonexistent plot (even by romcom standards). pretentious dialogues. side characters are interesting but they have very small screen time and have almost no relevance to the main plot. most importantly, main characters are so so flat. barring the actors/actresses looks, they got nothing else going on for them.

there's pretty much no reason to. why is an omnipresent entity so obsessed with one human. I find it hard to believe that he never encountered someone a whole lot interesting than FL in all his years of existence. Its writer's fault tbh. He/she has made her character downright boring. She even has that basic romcom starter package as her backstory. Nothing about her is interesting- from her thought process or personality to her dynamic with characters around her.

lol that's a huge contrast b/w korean audience and international audience. this is somehow highest rated series airing rn on this website.

I've seen enough. this won't improve going forward. SLs storyline is not enough for me to keep continuing this.

the only performances I liked so far are FL's guy friend and SFL (ex-fox) :/

acting is the weakest part of this series :/

DAYS is quite boring and bland. I'm powering through it coz of SLs story which also took a questionable turn this ep. next ep is make or break for me since 'Racket Boys' has also started.

since Hee Tae is doing some narration of the story now than it probably means that he's the one who survives :/

this SFL need to do some first lead roles and not in romcoms. I hope she has a decent amount of screen time in this one. atleast more than the last series I saw her in (Startup) :/

I had no expectations from this series. neither acting wise nor story wise. so it seemed okay till now. a light romcom with a few smiles here and there :/
