I watched the beginning of episode one at this link. 100% better subtitling than provided by Youku. The important map locations are identified right at the beginning. Now I think I can watch MAN’S INHUMANITY TO MAN. This is an important drama. Youku imo dropped the ball on not making proper subs available. Frankly as a Youku subscriber I expect decent subs.

And if you read the synopsis carefully, isn’t that one big spoiler lol.

I watched the first two episodes of LIGHT OF DAWN. Excellent.
I believe I am correct that LOD is the third Tencent ‘X Theater’ drama for 2025 with PLAYING GO and PERSONA the other two. I have watched and enjoyed the other two.
A MDL request. Could MDL please tag Tencent X Theater dramas like iQIYI ‘Light On’ dramas are currently tagged?

That pic up there ⬆️ doesn’t do actor Li Yi Nan justice. I just watched his terrific performance in Tencent’s crime drama SUPERSENSORY MAZE.

On the Youku app (on my laptop) this drama appears under the title: MAN’S INHUMANITY TO MAN. I will check later to see if english subtitles eventually appear. At about 2:00 of episode one the title of episode one appears in english: “The Story of a Porter”. Fingers crossed that Youku will provide proper english subs.

Through episode 4. SUPERSENSORY MAZE is holding my attention but frankly I have been confused in the opening episodes because the three female suspects in the first murder arc look so similar (ok, the three characters were high school classmates) but I was trying to remember who was who.
Then there is the shady guy interacting with Shawn Dou. Those two could be brothers. I got those two figured out.
Ready to continue.

SUPERSENSORY MAZE’s ML Duan Yi Hong’s 2021 Tencent crime drama DOUBLE TAP (available at Viki US) was my introduction to contemporary cdrama crime. I loved it. I am looking forward to his performance in SUPERSENSORY MAZE.

Doesn’t look like that will happen. Oh well! Fingers crossed Tencent’s upcoming X Theater crime drama LIGHT OF DAWN will be subbed in English.

I wish he would reprise his role as crazy as hell Detective Kim Moo-chan in SBS’s THE KILLING VOTE. PHJ gave a fantastic performance in TKV.
