I am not sure about this first episode either as I felt the script and characters were off. However though I agree…
Thanks, you articulated the things that bothered me better than I could have. Tharntype discussing/arguing about marriage like it's the first time was not realistic, Type resisting the idea of marriage, he said that he is concerned for Tharn's family, which I find to be a weak excuse since Tharn's family has accepted their son's sexuality since he was 17 and are supportive and it's them who are excited for them to tie the knot, they know what they can and can not handle better than him. Mame messed up the script for LBC, I'm afraid she might have done it here too. Let's see what happens in subsequent episodes.
Ok, maybe it's too early to point this out, but to me Tharn's character has changed, in a way the character has devolved, Tharn was more humble, thoughtful and understanding at 19 than he is now: Tharn in s1 worried about Type missing classes and was concerned for him, this Tharn turns off the alarm so Type wakes up late for work, takes his time getting ready making Type even more late. and all this knowing that Type has a boss that picks on him Tharn in s1 had no problem doing house work, he did things himself and did laundry for Type, and seems like he doesn't help Type with housework as Type has mentioned in ep1 when washing the dishes. He also flaunts being rich, when the old Tharn never liked talking about his or his family's wealth Tharn was very mature in s1, now he is pouty and childish. Also he seems like a a sex addict, in every interaction between Tharn and Type, Tharn wants to screw him... I'm not saying couples after 7yrs can't be passionate about ea/o or have romantic intimacy, the NC scenes are definitely hot, MG still go that crazy chemistry, but the long pauses before kissing seem off to me, it gives the vibe of a newish relationship anticipation rather than the familiar lover vibe.
I think it’s best to judge after seeing the episode. This is a different director from the first so yes I do…
You are right of course. I reacted strongly after watching the trailer. Hopefully the actual series will turn out to be good. True, Than is older. I'll refrain from saying anything else until the show premiers.
lmao i was wondering if i was the only one who thought Tharns face didnt have that many microexpressions
Yes, Together with me is a superior series and MaxTul are so much better in it than Bad Romance, but Next Chapter was bad and the couple have also regressed. With TTS, Type is still struggling with being fully out and Tharn still has abandonment and trust issues after 7 long years.
lmao i was wondering if i was the only one who thought Tharns face didnt have that many microexpressions
Exactly, I was thinking the same thing, why improve on anything when they already have a rabid fanbase that hypes them without much merit. Nevertheless I liked S1 despite it's flaws and was excited about a S2. My enthusiasm dampened even before the posters and teasers came out, watching LBC2 gave me a preview of the kind of mess Mame would write, she completely botched the script on that other show, she probably did the same for this one.
The trailer was so disappointing. Editing is bad, too much forced crying, Tharn's face looks frozen with botox, Type's clothes and hairstyle are terrible, the new cast have wooden acting.... I know I'm judging things from a few minutes clip, but that is all I need.
A question to the fans? Who is Nong Stu that people keep referring to on the studio twitter profile? I don't remember…
I think Nong Stu is not referring to 1 individual but the whole team working for the studio. Stu is short for studio. They haven't introduced the names of the team members, but there seems to be one lady Manager and 3-4 Assistants.
I really want to see him suffer for the rest of his existence, wishing for the sweet release of death without…
I appreciate your well written response, however it does not change my mind. Llong committed a premeditated crime, he planned Tar's rape, he recorded the rape, blackmailed him, causing him further mental anguish. Llong would have never stopped his actions had he not been caught, he showed remorse once he got caught and only towards Tharn, I can understand to some extend Llong not getting punished and getting away with his crimes, but the writer chose to rub him in our nose and bring him back in the special ep and if her intentions were to promote tolerance like you described in your post, she has failed miserably. The forgiveness scene with Thorn was lame and uncomfortable, if she wanted to portray tolerance, that scene should have been with Tar. Tar, Type and Tharn the real victims.
I actually like the way these issue were dealt with in the story. The reason why Type hates gay isn't because…
I really couldn't believe my eyes reading your post. I hope you are coming from a place of ignorance and stupidity because otherwise I don't know what to think. First of all the man that abused Type is a pedophile because he was attracted to and raped a child, if an adult whether heterosexual or homosexual is attracted to a pubescent child regardless of gender that makes them a pedophile. I hope I don't have to break down for you why having sexual relations with children is a crime and why it is damnable in modern society. You said pedophiles are hated enough so I shouldn't use labels, what kind of logic is that ? am I supposed to feel sorry for them? no thanks I rather save my empathy for the victims of childhood abuse, we don't have to tolerate and excuse everything, some actions are just too heinous. I'm not going to go through how the series failed miserably in not making distinction and why that is dangerous, because you can read it above in my exchange with another poster.
I haven't read the book since I don't understand Thai but I read spoilers from a reliable source who read it and…
Thank you so much...the part of Tharn raping or attempting to rape Type was posted about on twitter by one acct that does translations... This was not the usual Tharn horny wanting Type and Type saying no and then giving in.... Tharn was angry and wanted to hurt Type because he was feeling jealous and possessive..after this incident Type leaves Tharn and goes back home to his family

Also thank you for sharing your story. I pray you continue well in your healing process.
