When Sun is with Lin, there is something about Sun that is so calm and reassuring. He is the most handsome of men with an open and loving demeanour; when he takes his shirt off (which he does regularly) one can only look in wonderment at the perfection of his body. No wonder Lin is smitten and feels so safe with him. As for Sam and Yo, it is criminal how little screen time they get together with minimal intimate moments. For the record, I too record my displeasure with Lin's pet name Khun Dad for Sun, probably the cringiest moniker ever attached to someone. Aside from these misgivings, the series is actually very good and I particularly like the various residences the characters find themselves in and the jewellery is beautiful, rightly a star of the show.
I feel like this is the main problem with watching shows for actors instead of plot? I get liking an actor and…
Thanks for clearing up who is doing what and who is intimate with who. It helps a great deal. I hope you continue to discuss the plot so I get a better understanding of what I've just watched (even if it's a Reveal Spoiler). I'm not particularly worried about who gets more screen time as long as the story is logical (as much as it can be with this sort of show) and all comes together at the end.
This is better than I expected and the first BL series to my knowledge set in the world of cosmetics with a budget that extends to creating its own line of cosmetic products. Having watched the first four episodes back-to-back I like how the characters are introduced and their personalities develop, although it is mostly from Natsume's perspective. He is yet another passive, slightly insecure lead who was at first overwhelmed by Sahashi but quickly grew to like him in the romantic sense. Halfway through it seems like Natsume is holding back his feelings and by not accepting Sahashi's invitation to move in with him and then becoming petulant, Sahashi not unreasonably was hurt and walked out on him. Advancing their careers in the same company, they struggle to balance work and love. I wonder if Nanjo will sense there's trouble in paradise and in his own way help to sort things out for them.
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but Diew spelt with a u (and still sounding the same) is God in French. It can't be a coincidence as France is the one country (even more than the USA) that is referred to frequently in Thai BL and even two series (La Cuisine and La Pluie) have French titles, not to mention the cooking shows that concentrate on French pastries and cakes. So what, we have two gods falling in love with each other? In Greek mythology, gods don't usually fall in love with one another, rather they fall in love with a mortal and usually face dire consequences as a result, though that won't happen here.
At first, I thought Diew was a bit precious but since meeting and getting to know God, he's opened up more and accepted him into his constrained little world. God, on the other hand, was immediately attracted to Diew and with time has only become more smitten with him. Things are moving quickly now and it stopped just short of God planting a drunken kiss on Diew's lips. Oh, my.
I may be biased because I love costume dramas (heterosexual or otherwise) . Even with the low-budget they did…
This looks to me anything but low-budget, considering the lovely costumes, hairpieces, jewellery and the excellent sets. Indeed, I think a lot of money was spent on this production and I hope to see more historical BL romances like this. This co-production was a great success.
I haven't watched the 2016 ver, is it supposed to have steamy scene? I thought it's censord? Where did you watch…
I watched it first in 2019 on YouTube and I vividly remember the steamy sex scenes in the bedroom and the one in the car, all of which have been cut with what can now be seen.
I can see why people are frustrated with this show, especially the way Taishi is so hesitant it often becomes a mumble when he speaks, possibly because he's sorting things out in his mind while trying to converse with Takara, in particular, his feelings towards him. Takara knew immediately what he was feeling but wanted Taishi to say it out loud, which he did, whereupon Takara swooped in and kissed him. Taishi is happy they're dating, nevertheless, he's still full of self-doubt whereas Takara is full of confidence; the contrast between the two couldn't be starker. This is all very deliberate and part of the charm of the show. Perhaps it's not to everyone's taste but I appreciate how well the actor portraying Taishi pulls off playing this shy, awkward boy suddenly realising he's dating a boy all the girls go giddy over. Even so, I don't think it will be smooth sailing for either of them but I'm sure they'll manage to overcome the obstacles and remain together. After all, what's a show like this without them?
No matter what website you go to, only the cut version is available; the uncut version, which is about 15 minutes longer, can only be seen in Thailand and doesn't have EngSubs. Why it was released this way is anybody's guess but it is disappointing; I suspect the uncut version with EngSubs will be released sometime later in order to get maximum exposure. This is the highly anticipated adaption of the original 2016 Chinese series which is now only available in a cut version with all the steamy sex scenes omitted; thank goodness I saw the uncut version years ago. As for this new Thai version, the previews left me bewildered, making me wonder if there was any resemblance to the known story but having watched the first episode, the narrative begins where it should and follows the correct storyline with Thai variants. August as Hero (i.e. Gu Hai) is tall, handsome, extremely fit and is right for the part. Mac as Pop (i.e. Bai Luoyin) is less charismatic and though attractive he doesn't come across as eminently desirable. Nevertheless, as a huge number of people worked on this show and obviously put a lot of time and effort into making this third iteration worthwhile, I shall put any reservations aside and continue watching to the end.
Thank you, thank you, thank you co-producers for giving us a movie length finale that brought this marvelous series to a perfect close. It is one of my favourite series of all time. 9/10 from me. Peat and Fort as Tongrak and Mahasamut were ideal in their character portrayal and I found Mahasamut to be one of the most adorable and sexiest characters ever created. If I could have a dream boyfriend/lover, he'd be it. I think they deserve the prize for BL Couple of the Year with Keen and Sea (Moo and Kang) from Only Boo! coming a close second. The locations, the story and the acting raised this romantic drama to a very high level. Whereas love comes unexpectedly for Mut who falls for Rak unreservedly and unselfishly, in Rak's case he has closed himself off to love and although he falls for Mut's undeniable charm and comes to depend on him emotionally, he cannot bring himself to fully love him until he is pushed into realising he can't live without him and needs him as much as Mut wants him. The way Mut teases the words 'I love you' from Rak is one of the great moments in BL and from there on we know that their love will endure. Indeed, I believe we're in for a bonus Special Episode on August 25 so that's something extra to look forward to.
I would have thought Bamhee could see that Tae was exceptionally busy doing a job and noticed that he didn't eat the sandwich she brought him, so for her to think the way she did before kissing Judy shows she's not particularly self-aware. With respect, I don't regard it as cheating, rather she was a little drunk and due to her becoming closer to Judy, got caught up in the moment, especially after Judy tells her she doesn't like men. This is followed with Ryan's confession to Jane but we're left waiting for him to react. So not one but two cliffhangers!
I've just watched the first three episodes back to back and I'm quite enjoying this series though it's nothing special but I do like that both leads see and interact with their opposing angels. It appears that Diew wasn't able to fit in with others before he entered university and it has made him extra cautious when deciding who he'll get to know, however, not wanting to see God face-to-face as they become acquainted with each other is just weird but they did unexpectedly in Ep. 2 yet it still hasn't progressed much. I'll give it time to heat up which from the preview I saw it will, eventually.
May I recommend a paid site I'm using which is excellent value for money called Boys Love Factory: https://boyslovefactory.com/ for BL series and movies. Unlimited access for six months is $10 and for one year is $20. Episodes are posted promptly and the selection is widespread and comprehensive (so you don't need to join multiple sites to watch everything), the quality is great and the site is simple to use. It's fairly new so not many people know about it. Nevertheless, don't forget to check out YouTube because some things are only shown there and once it gets to know your preferences, the Recommendations will continue to unveil new material for your delectation.

Product, shmoduct; seen, used, so be it. They don't take away anything from the fun of this delightful series which is becoming better and better with one comic scene after another adding to the fun, making a big contrast to Kongthap's calm demeanour and serious way of expressing himself and looking at things all the more startling, leaving it to Atom to provide a bit of zaniness, so together they contrast and compliment each other. That also applies to Half and his interactions with Mundee's father, both of whom played their parts to a tee. Once again, you've got to give kudos to the writers for coming up with all this silliness and to the actors who realise it so well.
I'm not sure where Maya's sudden animosity towards Taichi comes from but it is uncalled for and mean. I also don't like the way she appears to be trying to come between him and Kohei who is unaware of her actions at this point. I'm sure, however, that Kohei will never desert Taichi.
Can someone tell me please where to watch this? on iqiyi I get the message that it's not available in my country..…
