We've been getting bits and pieces of their early family lives, but today's episode filled it out and brought it all together in a thoughtful and heartwarming way. The boys' relationships are important and equally so with their families.
The only cheering up part was YY's t-shirt: Why fall in love when you can fall asleep. 😁 and YeiCher sweet…
Yes, I couldn't help but notice that on his t-shirt. It's neither an aphorism nor an epigram; something in between to ponder on but it only works because of the word 'fall'. Is it a universal truth or more cynical? Depends on who says it and why, I suppose.
What are you guys watching this on? I can't seem to find it. I'm in the US if it makes a difference.
I found an even better deal that allows one to see ALL the BL series and most shorts and movies as they are released. The site is Boys Love Factory - https://boyslovefactory.com/ - and unlimited access costs $10 for 6 months or $20 for a year. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
The situation with Thanwa, Peak and Max is decidedly odd. I think Peak has serious feelings for Thanwa but by the time he says he likes him it is too late because Max is in the picture and doing his darndest to lure Thanwa away for himself and rekindle their relationship which I think will not last. Max is tall and fairly good-looking but there's something about him that is off and given his history he's sure to stuff things up with Thanwa eventually and in any case, Thanwa has unresolved feelings for Peak, so all this might see the return of Thanwa to the Knock Knock house sooner rather than later.
Hmm. Off to a good start. Both Ryu (Meen) and Zen (Ming) starred in Ai Long Nai which I liked but it came in for some criticism so that's where the love interest will eventually be centred. I'm surprised to see Frank as Atom here who is a main character in the current drama OMG! Vampire; I wonder how he'll fit into the plot plus he's muscular and athletic but I don't recall him playing basketball and whether he will or not here. Also of interest is the new basketball coach Ton (Chin), the most experienced actor of the bunch with many roles to his credit but this is his first role in a BL series. To finish off, this show also has two big name sponsors, Yamaha and Samsung. I'll watch Ep. 2 shortly.
We all agree that Mook is a pain in the neck and took up too much time in this episode and then there were even more scenes with her and Vie - all a bit much really for a BL series. But now that Rak is back in Bangkok and has taken Mut with him, he's become cold and detached and he's even having trouble getting to sleep because he doesn't have Mut beside him. Serves him right. I wonder how long Rak will bar Mut from entering his bedroom. However, once he does allow him in and becomes used to Mut loving him, I'm sure it won't take long for Rak to let his defences down and fall in love with him.
All these people suggesting Patrick raped Phum is pure supposition. There is no way he could have done that without Phum waking up. I suggest that he only kissed Phum for a while and then went to sleep.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I feel like Chin and Mai (is that right?) should end up together atp. Jolie is…
In light of Mai finding out in Ep. 7 that Jolie is a vampire and leaving her to Chin, we've yet to see whether he rejects Jolie as well if and when he confirms she's a vampire, but in any case, she prefers Chin to Mai. In the same episode, it was confirmed that Patrick is also a vampire but I'll be surprised if Chin turns out to be one as well. If he's not, to then to see Chin and Mai turn from rivals for a girl to lovers is far-fetched, and besides, there are only two episodes left during which the overthrow of General Lux will increase in importance, leaving little time for that to happen.
The NC scene between Patrick and Phum was rape. Being a couple is not an explanation for sleeping together when…

I suppose the unsupportive staff and the disdain they have for the interns is deliberate and with Ryan looking as uncomfortable as an urchin at a banquet, it's not the most auspicious of beginnings.
It's hard to categorise this movie which was pieced together from 27 short episodes. Tick. It moves at a fast pace and the shenanigans of some characters complicate things so you have to pay attention. The main storyline concerns the relationship between Liang Xiangyi, a famous actress, and the handsome Han Chengxun, CEO of Cuican, who has to deflect the machinations of a cousin trying to usurp control of the company. Along the way, it delves into the issues of female empowerment and overcoming male predators taking advantage of women who maltreat them. These are positively tackled head-on. The role of mothers is also dealt with.
As stated in the description, Liang Xiangyi transforms from a woman to a man frequently during the course of the movie. What becomes interesting is how Han Chengxun develops from not being attracted to men to realising that gender is unimportant when loving someone as stated in so many Thai BL series, so he learns to ignore the gender of who he is kissing. While it's not BL or gay, its liberal attitude to romantic relations is refreshing to say the least. Given all this, you won't be wasting your time if you watch it.
It's a combination of societal homophobia and producers' fear of backlashThe "barely there" gay content could've…
Well said. I binge-watched the series over three days and found the story quite gripping and entertaining, making me glued to the screen from beginning to end, leaving me more than satisfied with how the drama played out, especially the resolution of the Deuk Pal / Yi Heon duality that was done with finesse. It was well told and acted by everyone, however, while I was watching it I kept thinking about the absence of the BL aspect that was obliterated from the storyline (indeed, there wasn't even a hint of a bromance) due to concerns from the producers which I think was a mistake, with the fear of a backlash overestimated and probably unfounded. In my mind, had it been a feature of the storyline, it would have elevated the drama and drawn in more viewers, particularly international ones, with any deficiencies in the original content fixed and developed by the writers, notably with Se Kyung's father whose unhinged homophobia making him even more obnoxious. The fact that Yi Heon and Se Kyung remained friends despite objection from the latter's father is a key reason that had this been a BL drama, one of the takeaways could have been their love triumphed over all the adversities they faced and that would have been something to celebrate.
those who are hating this series, it might just not be for you, and that's totally okay! This isn't a slow burn…
Exactly. This is a comfort drama, pure and simple, and I for one am glad that it's going for 16 episodes. I like everyone in it, including all the shenanigans they get up to.
The link brings up all 5 episodes, not the compilation I saw which is on a pay-for-view website.
