What a very entertaining episode for tonight, it certainly feed the angst that I crave. Characters deal with real…
Both the ML and the FL’s father are top-tier schemers — that’s exactly why the story feels so intense. Every time one tries to checkmate the other, the opponent already knows the next move. It’s a chess match where both players are always one step ahead, and the tension never lets up.
Does anyone who read the novel could tell me of there was a happy ending or bad ending ?
The novel has a HE, but I honestly don’t know about the drama. Our ML was practically born as a tragedy magnet… and with a screenwriter — the same one who casually wiped out an entire clan a few days ago — anything feels possible. 😭🖤
We have every reason to blame the leads, and yet… we feel sorry for them all the same. Last night, I tried looking at everything through their eyes. 🌙💭
If he chose to tell her the truth and end all these misunderstandings, then she would be forced to face a reality even crueler than silence: that not only her lover, but her father, her adopted brother, and even the master she trusted with her life once deceived her. 💔 Even if now his love toward her is truly pure, he, too, once approached her with hidden motives. The truth wouldn’t set her free — it would shatter her completely. So he chooses to bear all the blame alone. 🌫️
And she… she grew up loved. A cherished daughter, a spoiled disciple. Her world was warm, gentle, safe. 🌼 Then suddenly, the man she loves kills her beloved teacher before her very eyes. The Emperor forces her father to hand her over as an empress. Her adopted brother suffers because of the man she trusted. How could she not hate him? It is the only emotion that makes sense in a life that has fallen apart. 😢
In a way, both of them are painfully fair. Their actions always follow the logic of their wounds, their loyalties, their pasts — but that same fairness is what makes the story feel so unfair to us as viewers. 🎭
I keep telling myself to stop watching, yet I want to know how everything unfolds. The writing may be chaotic, tangled, even messy… but the cast? They’re giving performances that feel like a chef’s kiss in the middle of a storm. 👏🔥
So no matter how frustrated I get, I still can’t bring myself to hate this drama. And the FL and ML — despite all flaws of the drama — I genuinely love both of them. ❤️🤍
Srsly guys, I want to watch this bc of PXR and RJL but why are the comments negative and the clips on tiktoks…
It’s your choice. They each have their own struggles and complex personalities. You’ll get angry at them, but at the same time, you can’t help feeling sorry for them.
