This drama screams tragedy from the start. LBFAD didn’t have that “tragedy” feeling and even the angst wasn’t 0.1% as bad, the relationship with the leads is way different as well.

Agreed, the fact that I had to read the original leaked script and look at the BTS cut scene pics for answers to these questions.. is why this is not rated a 10 for me.
Redemption arc wouldn’t have happened until 1,000 years later and it’s really just her chasing after TTJ. I do agree that the last arc was the most messy because of all the cuts they had to do last minute.
From what I’ve read, the problem with this novel becoming a drama is that they had to tone TTJ’s character down due to restrictions, while they kept LSS’s character the same. That’s why TTJ is so pitiful and LSS is an asshole. So she needs either a redemption arc or they should have stayed closer to the novel— which wasn’t ever gonna happen cause novel TTJ does some atrocious things. She can’t have a redemption arc either (the HE) because of the episode restrictions. So it just sucks all around.

I also don’t agree that he choose his own fate. He was forced into it. If his fate was to become DG anyway, he obviously wouldn’t want everyone he loves and the whole world to die. So he was forced into sacrificing to save the whole world rather than killing everyone and having the world revert to evilness. He wanted to be with LSS so bad in his final moments he even created an illusion to accompany him in the tombstone scene. We even see in his version of Bo’re dream that if he had a choose, all he ever wanted was a simple life with LSS.
Can anyone list down his drama with HE and also gets the girl? Beside LIS. 🥲

Healing. Almost fully healed, like 80% 😄 I appreciate the memories and emotions this drama has given me/made me feel. Still can’t listen to Mysterious Bird tho, too sad for me.

Yea. I was like I knew TTJ didn’t go through all that suffering to just die. Felt so much injustice for him I went to sleep mad and woke up mad. But after rewatching the ending so many times, listening to the voice narration ending, and reading the HE chapters in the novel I’ve finally reconciled with the ending.
Other than that, I rewatched some of the scenes when they come back from Bo’re life, after TTJ gets hurts and YXW hops on a horse to visit him. I think that’s when their love grew before all the angst. Already rewatched when CJM visits the sects for the 1st time and reunion with LSS, the scenery and music is so beautiful.
