A manga adaptation that lacks obviously key-elements to please and draw in the the majority. And i guess we need a more prominent disclaimer to warn people that this movie is about rape, violence and murder.
No easy, fluffy BL. It's about prostitition and how a normal life can derail and like the movie indeed makes no sense at all how a human being tries desperately to make sense why something happened.
Keeping in mind that this is a manga-adaptation i definitely see the effort to stick to the original, which might not work for the screen and perception of the usual viewer all the time, but is still artistically brilliant.
Omg! I really don't like Ghost-Stories a lot, because somehow they all are alike, BUT this one here really stoold out in a positive and very beautiful way. Somehow it's sooo funny, but also very emotional with deeper meaning about aloneness and the importance and struggles of what it means to be family.
Really recommend! ❤️
Btw: Don't skip the bonus scenes after the credits.
Finally subbed. Just a super, duper cute, very cute, enjoyable high school love story that for the ending alone and the last final minutes went from 7,5 to 8,5 for me. So cute. i liked especially the radio component, how they communicated and expressed themselves through music a lot.
I prefer a captivating and tense drama, where you really have to keep your focus to not miss something than a long drama, full of fillers and unnecessary add-ons where people get easily distracted and can type something on their mobile phone ...
Honestly that one here deserves the genre tag ACTION and THRILLER.
If that it is short is what this drama lacks .. well, i feel that its strength is exactly that. If you look beyond the ordinary and don't expect that every thing follows the same common rule, people might be able to value creative work. And personally i feel this drama was creative in production.
To the characters, took me a while to understand that on metalevel this is just genius writing. Because everyone stands symbollically as a representatively of society. The overdramatizing and attentionseeking reporter that for clicks and ratings manipulate and under the disguise of "the truth" tries to control opinions and leaves no space for others and even risk her own life. And on the other spectrum: The silent, smart professor that despite knowing chose to look away? Those different police officers all on their own mission but ending on different paths and actually tragic or surprising endings ...
Microexpressions where just on point, it was this little details in directing that made even every second of the 40 minutes meaningful and valuable
2 hours of painful bullying & justifying revenge violence
"... The fight scenes were nice choreographed, but not realistic at all. Typical fast cutted from multi-angle views. Didn't enjoy it much as an action fan. But kudos to the stuntwomen and man, the scenes where they wore the mask were great and really amazing. Long shots in one go. Unfortunately they're not listed at all in the cast list like usual. So my appreciation here, because it was one of the things that made this movie watch-worthy.
What definitely stood out was Park Jung Woo acting, playing the bullied kid. Such a talent that really got across the emotions. I actually hope to see him in more versatile roles and not just playing Guest and Support roles.
Still not sure if i liked the message that this movie tried to send ..."
Hard truth, i couldn't remember the plot of Part 1 at all and was wondering how tf i gave Part 1 a rating of 9. Part 2 continues exactly where Part 1 left off. Unfortunately they'd placed Ryu Joon Yeol in the role of Rak with Oh Seung Hoon. I altready saw him in "Method" and he's not bad, but he's very, very different and i guess what made Part 1 memorable was actually RJY's distinctive style.
I didn't recognize Han Hyo Joo in the poster, so i was shocked but then surprised about her ugly amazing psycho role. Love that she's expanding her repertoire and bravely try out difficult unpopular roles.
While watching i remembered Part 1 and i indeed remembered that for Part 1 my rating was well deserved, but the writing in Part 2 lacked that novelty aspect and for a continuation it really was slow and unthrilling in the first half.
OMG EP5 suddenly changed the tone of series. Only JP can do that. Not surprising.
Honestly, this episode left me heartbroken and really, really made me sad. 😭😭😭 Hope they wrap up this serious nicely and surprise us with a beautiful ending.
Let’s be honest, if we take the topic more serious it was actually episode over episode about sexual harassment and power abuse at the workplace. Not just by the boss but also by the colleagues. I get it, it plays with hidden sexual fantasies and desires, but halfway through it really made me uncomfortable because under the disguise of a fluffy sweet BL we were sold a character that was idealized but in truth told himself excuses “he’s my boss that’s why it’s ok.” “I don’t want to be a burden to my colleagues, that’s why it’s ok” “it’s in my contract and I don’t want ti be fired, that’s why it’s ok” “I do this for my parents and make money, that’s why it’s ok”
*points out at the last scene of episode 1 My guess he's not 3,500 yrs old but his old school friend that dies…
No, but the first boy sitting, his silouette resembles that of the angel. And i just concluded that it's possible that while Koki aged his friend who apparently as angel is younger as him had died earlier.
Another possibility is that it's actually his brother.
And def. needs more hearts on this page ❤️
What an old pic. He looks like a mature man now.
Just loved it. Really enjoyed the story unfold.

Ep.1: I don't get it.
Ep.2: Huh?! Are you serious?!
Ep.3: OMG!
Ep.4: OMFG!?!
Ep. 5: This is just hilarious!
Ep. 6: LOL. Finest crazy black humor.

The CGI was lacking, if not is actually bad.
