Loved it !! This is the first time watching film and boooyy has the cutest smile . How did the villian know about…
His right-hand man saw it on crime scene photos. Then told him his niece(?) has that same doll and you can record sound with it. But it looked like they didn't know for sure if she recorded anything. I'd probably call that bluff if I were the villain🤷
I had a lot of fun watching this show and def recommend it! even though there were aspects of the romance and plot points I didn’t care for.
What I liked: -> Charn’s stylish psycho persona with that creepy af smile<3 -> Nawin’s ..well …everything=D totally unexpected delight! -> Rose and Maya’s power couple energy and charisma on screen. If they led a series I’d definitely watch it. -> Grandma and the family moments. So wholesome<3 -> Tan’s misunderstood bad boy side story. Though I think they did him dirty by cutting out some key scenes from his romance.
What I didn’t like: -> Fight choreography! Honestly, if you make one of your characters a pro in martial arts you have to pay extra attention to how it looks on screen. Otherwise it makes your production look silly. -> Charn&Tinn dynamics after they got together. I’m all for acting childish or spoiled with your lover. Who else can you do that with? But it was way overdone here. It was like watching two kindergartners romancing each other. Cheese overdose. Didn’t fit the mature characters and themes. -> Cartoonishly evil villain. That for me was the weakest part of the plot.
Don't tell me she's pregnant. Ughh leave our lesbians alone
Yeah, I'm also not too crazy about this plot twist. But I'm afraid you're right. The themes keep repeating in the two timelines, and in the present it looked like she wanted to share some news with Jom on the phone
I'm guessing there are 3 possible endings-Jom travels to ancient time like the book and meets Commander Yai and…
I'd prefer the third ending as well. I just wrote in another comment that it would hardly be a happy ending, if Khun Yai got to live out the rest of his life with such heartbreak. It's different with the book because you can imagine they're almost the same person. It wouldn't work like that on-screen. They'd need to be different people.
They better give us a full episode of future them together, otherwise I am gonna flip over. I will be super duper…
Personally, I hope they change it. The only truly happy ending I can see is the one where this pair of Jom & Yai get to live out their lives together in the 20th century, getting filthy rich off that land near Bangkok. From the perspective of a drama watcher who got invested in Khun Yai's happiness, the ending where he gets to spend the rest of his life without Jom would be bittersweet, to say the least.
My emotional state after this episode: sober but high on feels:) This heady mix of playfulness, tenderness, sensuality, intimate pillow talks, scorching kisses and heartfelt confessions gets me every time. I'm going to repeat myself, but this is romance done exceptionally well. It's crazy how emotionally invested I got. Can't imagine saying goodbye to this series in two weeks when I have only just found it..
Bet when the monk talked about Jom bringing changes to his household, Yai's father didn't think it would mean his wife having enough of his BS, and taking charge. What a classy slap down:) I kinda love all the women in this show!
It would break my heart to see my children in miserable marriages, I would rather my reputation get tainted than…
Look at it from another side. If someone has a deep seated belief that going against societal norms and expectations must without exception result in a miserable life. Then they wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing they let their kids make that mistake. I met people who believed that forcing their kids on a conformist path meant securing their long-term happiness, at the price of a short-term heartbreak. And I haven't time traveled from 1920's.. As for Yai's parents, I think the mother is in self-denial and the father treats his kids instrumentally:/
I know. I meant after the wedding. I've assumed the father will push for one quickly. I don't believe Yai is the kind of person who'd go along with his wishes and get engaged but then run away before the wedding. So how did he look so relaxed on that nighttime outing? Planning his future with Jom by his side, when he knew he was about to get engaged to a different person than the one he was kissing? Adding that clusterfuck of Jom learning from others about the engagement… The sequence of events makes it hard to understand his reasoning and puts him in a rather bad light. That's why I'd like some context
Jom, you dumb? What's that crying for? Get Yai and sail for Paris! Paint with Chagall! Get drunk with Hemingway! You only live once! …or do you?🤔 I'd watch that spinoff;)
Such good acting in this episode. I really liked the nighttime visuals, especially that upside down kiss by the lantern. I actually totally get Jom. But wth was Yai thinking? Did he plan for them to live in one house while B. stays in another? Hope he explains that at some point. I'm excited for the showdown next week:)
Lek to Jom: - Are you tired? Are you really tired now? I mean are you certain? Maybe you'd like to rethink your answer:D That kid terrifies me. I think it's obvious who's the future politician in that household.
I did start this when it was airing but I got busy and didn't continue. I thought it was quite funny.
Hi:) I also watched it in Spring. I just came back after 6 month hiatus, saw it in my notes and decided to submit as is. From what I remember, there was some old-school humour that was a little off-putting but overall it was absurdly funny;)
What an unexpected gem! 100% pure, organic romance with a background mystery. It's been a long while since I was so captivated by a love story and couldn’t help rewinding instead of skipping forward (I mean, that olive oil scene!!!)
My first thought was that it's Outlander, if Claire ever bothered to think before speaking or acting rashly;) Well, the villain is paper-thin compared to Black Jack but the two lovers are equally magnetic.

Just started ep1 and can't recognise Qin Hao.. What did they do to him?! *shocked face no2*
