lol jesus.! Lol Two things. Okay.
The Anime is more pleasing to the eyes because it was more simalar to the dong hua and novel, which actually came first before the live action( if u were a fani assumed u knew). If u a anime watcher u 'll also get the problem.
Also in saying real "gay shit" i mean real gay shit. Make it obvious, make the characters in the story acknowledge it, make the characters go through the emotional turmoil and prejudice lf being queer. Most time they set these plots up with disregards to the lgbtq experience ( althoigh you can say his demonic cultivation could have been an allergory, it was doen poorly). This does not mean kissing or sex, (cause we lived through a time where we didnt even get to see such things in asian drama land even for the straights before) but make the relationship pronounce and not gay bait audiences. Its insulting cause it takes awya from the

Well idk what makes one think they should be demeaning to someonelse but if u are offended cause soemone didnt take well to "your" favorite series then I will apologize for apparentlty "fetishizing" "your bromance drama" and perverting it to your preference (_ wink wink-?).
The " Plot hole" i refer to is usually more tied to the character motivations and to the flow of the story. For instance the main character wei wuxian. "What motivates him? What makes him do what he does? Why should i care or be interested in this Character?"
At first i would admit he was intriguing when they introduce him as this big demonic cult leader who was such a threat that it took the combined forces of orthodox schools to put an end to him. I was hoping to see this very complex character. Later as the story progressed, i found his character becoming duller and duller. It was like the author was scared of making him unlikable. Even though he was suppose to be seen as this evil character other than making him practice demonic cultivation, there was nothing seemingly threatning to the cultivator community. This makes all the other antagonist to wuxian even more confusing because then your like, why do they need to exterminate him again(l all the bad guys were petty jerks anyways, so nobody gave a damn if they died). Of course he was still witty and smart through the flashback and story but again but there was no direction or growth. And to try and push for the story to progress, the author lazily just kills off anyone close to him to represent growth. His relationship with the jiang clan and the emotional ties he had with them weren't that strong ( anime did better showcasing a connection) so it made the devestation of losing them to the wen massacare less impactful( shit jiang chen change and character arc was more relatable). Also wuxian wasnt even turning evil too, he was trying to trap all that evil within appatemtly?. I wished they explored a part of him that was slowly atarting to lose to the evil but this whole the only people he killed were jerks anyways so fudge that. No self turmoil only until the the author, scared of making him detestable and aslo doesnt seem to know how to move the story on, decides to write in an accident death of the sister and brother inlaw.
Just another confusing point, For instance after defeating the wenclan, he decides to try and protect the remanders of the wen clan just like that. No motivational or emotional ties, he just does it because hes friends with lime two of them. But because of this, it turns the while community against him.
Like wtf?... Even the main villian had more direction then wuxian. There is still soo much more points too with some other main characters but thats gonna take a long ass time. Also interestingly ( this is just in the drama) but the scene where he is falls off the cliff during his death is literally a scene ( alot of cdrama these days seem to have with their main protagonist) coped off from the hongkong swordsman 2( 1991 ) where a simarily "big evil" queer character dies from being too powerful.

Title The Untamed Spoiler
The beauty of this drama is that everyone can depict the characters emotions and actions and the relationship…
i found wei wuxian character really anoying. Like what is he? A typical mary sue. He has no flaws and the story makes it seems like everything that happens to him is because of other people. He had potential at first, but as we find out mire and more about him, it just got blander and blander, the suddenly the plot didnt make sense anymore. It was like the author was scared if making wei wuxian unlikable to the audience which depruved the character from ever growing. And in order to try and show growth, the author just kills people close to wuxian, just because( poor writing). Also like no antagonist in this drama was seemingly complex or intriguing. Like wei wuxian was supposedly introduced as a "lord voldemort" type of character, yet all the bad guys ( who were usually from " orthodox" sect) hated him for no other reason then him practicing demonic magic. It was really weak plot point that seemed forced.

Although i find the anime to be more pleasing to the eyes, i still don't get how this drama is considered good( the fandom is crazy). But even the original story lacked a lot of plot holes missed out on some good character development and depth. The story is original and okay, but i wouldn't say it was extraordinary.
The problem i had with these types of bromance drama is that i feel it "exploits" the gays and fujoshi/fudashi lovers. I know its china and they have they censoring shit but like "really?". Is that gonna be the excuse? I know People are gonna say shit like " well at least this is getting some coverage", well that doesnt really mean anything does it because this bullshit is " up for interpretation" ( it being bromance, not gay). No homo right!
I learned this from watching ruyi, but isn't this method the same as "giving someone gluttonous treats to stuff their mouth with and shut them up" kind of shit. Its like saying "lets just make money off the gays but not really try and push for change in industry or society in general". Its just a little insulting and i just hate hate how it doesn't seem to improve. Like now they is a bunch of bromance drama coming out. Unless i see some good gay shit, this is not gonna slide for me.

I meant "you who came from the stars".
On It's Okay to Not Be Okay Nov 18, 2020
I did not like this drama just watching the first episode. I thought it was going to be good and highlight issues about mental health but sadly it did not intrigue me enough. Watched little snippets from later episidee gave me a vibe about the drama and it seems its more of " awe look at them" kind of drama. The Actors and acting are good. Male and female lead actors are strong actors a very alluring not only in looks nut charisma(especially fl). But for some stupid reason i saw a post that said they look like they could play siblings, anf i think i lost the ability to see the actors chemistry on screen when i watched the 1st episode. Other than that the plot was also just really really weak. Just watching the first episode, i just didn't like the character of the female lead ( like they better give me a good ass reason shes such a bitch). The guys character had potential and the story of him having to take of his brother was interestingly new. But sadly the story was not strong enough for me to wait and find out and thankfully i dropped it early. I came to realize they was trying to write another "you re my lucky stars" hit again, with a "badass" female lead with the beta male lead....

Too bad, the Duke 2020 came out first. Expect delayed to next year.
Lol nobody asked for that adaption. Man, I hope the team working on this project better be gathering funds for some good ass editing, music and promotional ads.
Replying to Shouryuujo Nov 18, 2020
We always need a new adaptation because the previous adaptations still doesn’t reach the original novel. You…
agree. There is still so much more potential in the stories. In order for it to be its best is some "Pre final Season Game of throne script writing" along with some "Crouching tiger hidden Dragon" Choreography.

I mean, that's not like the biggest plot point there. Like, so long as acting and chemistry is fine, it should…
Um she actually is suppose to look younger than young guo because of the internal skills of the Ancient Tomb Sect. And also in the book, the fact that she is looks younger than Yang guo is what makes it the amusing element, especially in parts where they introduce themselves to the new characters they meet. It also fits her character because she is suppose to be like this female version of like a Bruce Lee or Jet Li character.
Also Have you seen the older older versions like the 1995 one and 1983 one? The actors look the same age in those. The 1995 was the best casting for me. Carmen lee did a very good job as Xiao long nu. Her acting just made Xiao long nu much more mature then Yang Guo, but at times, their was a hint of naivety which fits the character so well. It was also interesting to see how the relationship slowly changed where Yang Guo and Xiao Long nu were more like equals rather than student and disciples.
Replying to loremar Nov 18, 2020
I think it's a lot more enjoyable to watch if you watched the prequel and remember the characters and the story. For…
She was also overly protective of her family, and did not see Yang guo as family yet. His intelligence and naughtiness gave her more reason to be more cold towards him. But i like how she gradually warms up to him and see's him as her own ( which is something I don't think any adaptions has tried to explore). By the time he was 18, the Guo couple really saw him as one of their own ( as we are still in ancient china and Son's were still considered more desirable) and really wanted him to be their successor.
On Return of the Condor Heroes Nov 18, 2020
Huang Xiao Ming did not fit the role and was probably the only reason I did not like this drama. Xiao Long Nu casting was good but liu yi fei. The choreography and sound effects was not appealing though.
On The Romance of the Condor Heroes Nov 18, 2020
The casting of Michelle Chen as Xiao long nu was actually the least problematic part of this adaption. Everything else about this drama was literal trash. It can not even be a stand alone story (like Eagle Shooting Hero 2008). I felt as violated as Xiao Long Nu was when she found out about Zhi Ziping while watching this atrocity that if this Drama manifested into a person, I would also chase it all the way to Mount Zhong nan with the murderous attempt to erase it from existence!!!
On The Condor Heroes 95 Nov 18, 2020
The best version and literal gold standard that sadly people tend to forget. Louis Koo and Caremen Lee were the best for the Character ( till this day). The 2006 wasn't even that good and the 80's version had too many unnecessary subplots.
Replying to Selbee Nov 18, 2020
I agree. The FL is awful, silly, incompetent, stupid... I love the actress but here her character is not likable…
Also the actress for Hae young is the most prettiest yet realist cry I have ever seen on screen.
