it feels way too similar to a ton of other BLs. The directing and shooting is nice though, and the acting is good,…
The chemistry between the leads were so natural. Compared to alot of BL these day (where I can kind of tell the actors were not so into it), the leads had so much chemistry. One look at each other and you could see the special connection. Edward and Jing Hua really put great effort and maturity into this. After this project, I can see them more as serious actors rather then "eye-candy idol actors".
That part where A-Han was protecting Birdy from his father! wow even tho it was an aggressive scene but the amount…
Yes! My heart broke when they started fighting too. Wanted to jump in a block the hits as well. But holly molly! i did not know taiwan was so sexist back then, they expelled the girl but not the boy. Dang!
Thought it was nice but not as great as some make it out to be.
Lol Whaaa is your heart made of stone!? Jk but why? I know the story was a little choppy and the ending wasnt what people wanted but this was one bl that i would say was one of the best! The cinematography was beautiful, the themes were impactful and holy shit the chemistry between the leads were on fire!
Hello, who was that old man who gave Jia Han a bun, and then the next thing we saw was that he tried to kiss Jia…
Oooo i thought that was a guy that probably molested him once. Wssnt he at a park? Didnt he say the place was a place he used to come to as a little child? I thought he went back because that was probably his first experience with a dude ( the old guy who probably molested him). Would make sense why he rebuked the old man advances cause he was disgusted by him and reaffirmed that he was not like the old guy (a sick pedo). Sad actually ( for jia han to seek out love from a perv from the past).
I'm so torn about watching this film, because I'm dying to watch it, it looks incredible, I also know that I can…
Better now then never. I found this movie depressing but i don't regret the experience. Its was such a beautiful story. You got to give yourself a nice quiet time to sit down and watch it to experience the emotions.
Oh and that mainland china's film industry is how you do a real bl film!!!!....not that bromance crap!!!! Now…
Agree. Like i've read the director intentions behind the ending and yes its sad...so many people denied love because of society. It's sad cause you realize that freedom is now allowed for everyone, and those whi could have lead happy lives are no longer more. I mean im not sure if the ending was suppose to be hopeful, but hell nah, it broke my heart.
Hong kong film industry used to dominate the asian film industry. Now the korea has taken its place ( and maybe mainland china if they get their shit together) but I still find Cantonese to be the most pleasant sounding language!
Im kinda old school and most dramas in the past, the weak female lead was a thing. i used to hate fml who i thought were weak, but when i rewatch those drams again, i realize that they were the most real, having the correct attitude towards their position and situation. Relatable in a way, their was something to admire about them a, different kind of strong where i feel is missing lately in new drama female leads.( i mean i watched a lot of thai, chinese, taiwan, and korean).
