The line that Huang Rong spoke in episode 12 at Tao Hua Dao while pinning for Guo Jing is really cringe and totally…
She did say this but at a later part of the story when guo jing decides to choose duty over love and uphold his promise to hua zheng. Thus, even if he loved rong, he must marry hua zheng because of his own sense of honor. abandoning rong. i perosnally feel in the adaptions they seem to forget that guo jing does huang rong dirty alot of times throughout the book. I haye that this adaption she just accepts him back like that. In the books, there is a bit of more chase to it.... Could have been explored better..
The theme of this story is not romance. It's patriotism so it doesn't need to focus on the romance. The second…
Fr, I watched this Idol drama Follow Your Heart and I would say the fight choreography in that drama was waaaayyy better than this. The movements were creative, quick and nimble. The camera work is consistent and there were very little use of slow mo's.
lol suprised but not suprised. i feel like his performance was the only one that brought something to the role.…
The actor that played Guo Jing was the one I that made me grind my gear ( although kinda bummed out because of it because I feel he looks the role of Guo Jing). I know Guo Jing is not the brightest in the story, but the actor puts no effort into his acting and in the 2003 version, it made it look like he was cognitive inclined but still, the 2003 version of Guo Jing did more with his acting then this version. And because of that, I feel like there is no chemistry between the actress that plays Huang Rong.
I really hope we see a good adaption of the Lin Chao Ying a Wang Chong Yang from this adaption. As their connection with the 9 Yin manual is so romantically eccentric in itself, it was my favorite easter egg in Return of the Condor Hero's.
If you look at the story, its pretty well explain. The answer is, Huang Rong's issue with growing up without a mother and Guo Jing fills that gentle unconditional love for her. We all know that Huang YaoShi vowed to never leave Peach Blossom Island until he could deduce the meanings to his incomplete version of the yin manual left by his wife. For 15 years he kept Zhou Botong trapped on the island for that reason. Huang Rong is not dumb, and very intuitive herself. She probably learned about how her mother died and felt that her father had neglected her all her life due to Huang Yaishi's obsession with becoming #1 martial artist. If we look at Huang Rong, she is pretty smart, but I do feel she was not meant for martial arts or particularly liked learning martial arts. Although born smart, everything she learned from her father was more to interact more with him or to fill up her boredom. Like stated before, if she were serious about martial arts, she would have become much stronger than anyone of the people in her Generation. When she left peach blossom Island, her whole gist was that if nobody was going to love her, why not be the dirties beggar so that no one in society will love her. When Guo Jing was the only one to show her genuine kindness, even after she tried cheating him out of money and his horse, she was touched, as that was probably the longest time anyone showed her any kindness. It didn't matter if she was a beggar, a girl or boy, Guo Jing was a truly kind person and cared for her, someone he didn't even know. It gave her hope that somewhere in the world, there was someone who genuine loved her. And thats why she chose him.
Omg look at this. Zhou Yiwei openly told fans at a press conference that this is not a good drama and not to watch…
lol suprised but not suprised. i feel like his performance was the only one that brought something to the role. every other role felt like the actors were roleplaying . His portrayal of his character brought personality (which I felt didn't deviate too much from source) and even added more dept to the character of Huang YaoShi.
I really hope the back stories are good or at least make sense and are interesting. I really hope they don't butcher the characters like they did in Romance Of the the Condor Heroes ( cause that was pure fanfic level writing).
Ep 1, I quite like the image of Mei Chao Feng here…not too bad.
I think they made her too pretty.(also Meng Zi Yi looks too young) Wish they went more with a design change or make up change since we know we will get her a backstory. I think the adaptions where they made her look more rugged and haggard made more sense to the character of Mei Chao Feng. Her appearance was vital to her as a character, as she has become corrupted with her unethical practice of the 9 yin manual, earning her the nickname "iron Corpse". Furthermore, at this point of the story, she is blind and vindictive. She neither cares about appearance, and is set on revenge.
China should go back and copy tvb and have one major popular studio and have them collaborate other studios etc...…
Exactly, Ariel and Hu Ge would have been a good choice. It would be fun seeing Ariel as Huang rong again, as she still have that pixie like stature and face that would have made her a very interesting Huang Rong ( among the ones who played in ROTCH). Even wanna see Zhou Xun reprise that role from the 2003.
Okay I saw the original one, sooo can someone spoil this one for me. Does it have a different ending??? Like a good concluding one for the um... good characters....
Why? Aren't there literally like countless drama adaptations of the Return of the Condor Heroes already out there…
Exactly!!! there were some parts in the novel that were never developed properly on screeen. Especially in ROTCH, alot of characters and character dynamics were never very fleshed out ( in literally all the adaptions) as they choose to focus soely on yang guo and xiao long nu ( barely Xiao long Nu even though in my opinion she is way more interesting then they make her out to be in the adaption). There was so much character dynamic and interactions that they never explored ( and I do not mean what THE 2014 did, pulling shit out of their ass- Seriously the original material had so much to work with but they chose to make up stuff). -Huang Rong and Guo Jing's relationship as husband and wife -Xiao Long Nu's relationship with her master and Granny SUn -Yang Guo And Xiao Long NU relationship ( the blossoming of youth and the disccusion of roles) -Zhen Zhibings obsession with Xiao Long NU -Gou Xiangs rocky relationship with her family -Abuse that Yang Guo was subjected too -Yang Guo's relationship with each different girls -Golden Wheel Monks obsessions' with trying to create claim in the martials arts world ( symbolic of the Mongol Conquest) -OOOHH the best part that never been done justice much on-the deep meaning of behind the RELATIONSHIP Ling Chao Ying and Wang Chong yang, failing to give an indept characterization og Ling Chao Ying. They also never really brought an adaption where it had some bomb ass fight choreography. Cause this is Wuxia, you need AAA+++ choreography equal to a Zhang Yimou Wuxia film.

AAAAAAAHHAHHHH
-Huang Rong and Guo Jing's relationship as husband and wife
-Xiao Long Nu's relationship with her master and Granny SUn
-Yang Guo And Xiao Long NU relationship ( the blossoming of youth and the disccusion of roles)
-Zhen Zhibings obsession with Xiao Long NU
-Gou Xiangs rocky relationship with her family
-Abuse that Yang Guo was subjected too
-Yang Guo's relationship with each different girls
-Golden Wheel Monks obsessions' with trying to create claim in the martials arts world ( symbolic of the Mongol Conquest)
-OOOHH the best part that never been done justice much on-the deep meaning of behind the RELATIONSHIP Ling Chao Ying and Wang Chong yang, failing to give an indept characterization og Ling Chao Ying.
