Yes. Zhou botong only showed Feng Heng the 2nd volume. He still had the first volume with him. When mei chao feng and Cheng xuan Feng went rampage in the martial arts community, it was only then did Zhou Botong learned he was tricked. He returned to plum blossom island demanding Huang Yaoshi return the manual, only to be trapped there for 15 years. Through out those 15 years, the first volume was always with him. it wasn't until Guo Jing came to the island to ask for Huang Rongs hand in marriage, he unknowingly brought along with him the Mei chao Fengs copy of the 2nd volume. zhou thus tricked Guo jing in memorizing both the 1st and 2nd volume, before destroying it. ( as a big middle finger to huang yaoshi so that Huang will accept Gou Jing as his son-in-law knowing Huang Yaoshi despises Guo jing). Guo jing will later go on to share the manual with Huang Rong, who then later on transcribed them again. Sealing their secrets in two swords, the Dragon Slaying Sabre and the Heaven Resilient Sword. Which is the Mcgudfinns to the third part of the condors triology, Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre.
Why did the Master tell her it would turn her evil in the first place?
Its not suppose to turn anyone evil...but they only have the second volume which only includes the martial arts skills, "9 yin white bone claw", "the White boa whip" and the "Heart Shattering Palm". It lacks the internal practice, which is the first volume. The internal skill cultivation methods needed to practice these skills. Jumping right in to learning the moves without learning the meditation and cultivating the foundation can cause one to get injured. When mei chao feng and Chen xuang feng learned the martial arts, they misinterpreted the volume, and thought they were suppose to practice on living people. Thus the martial arts of the 9 yin manual became regarded as an evil and ruthless skill. They terrorized the martial arts world and became known as the Black Wind couple, iron and copper corpse. This is all in the novel. I dony know why the show implied the skills would turn them evil. ( but metaphorically kinda did due to their obsession with getting stronger)
I much prefer this portrayal because its giving Journey of Flower vibes and I hated that drama!
Ooo I always hated the romance plot with Huang Yaoshi and Mei, because that never happened(and thank god it was not in this adaption, which i liked). In the novel Legend of the Condor Hero's, Mei was having a secret affair with Chen Xuan Feng. They coveted the mantra for their own personal gain, so that if their master did find out and was against them, he could not punish them. Therefore they stole the manual. This caused Huang Yaoshi to lose trust in his very disciples, as he realized they had grown cocky and full of themselves, thus breaking their legs so they could never use the martial arts of Plum Blossom island. Feng Heng, in order to appease Huang's anger, decided to rewrite the novel again, spending days and nights to try and recall what she read. In the end she was able to complete the novel, but passed away. Huang realizing his greed for the Nine Yin mantra, caused his wife to sacrifice herself, thus he made a vow to kill anyone who knew the mantra ( in his way to amend for the death of his wife). Thus the once lively and mighty Plum Blossom island, was left with now only Huang Rong and Huang Yaoshi. Huang thus spoiled Huang Rong greatly. This show was okay in a sense, but these other unnecessary sub plots and character motivation seem out of place. I think the only one I like was Feng Heng's portrayal, as it in a way stayed true to the novel, and gave the character more depth. (But again, it was not Feng Heng who seeked out the 9 yin manual to cure Huang YaoShi, which was the part that I didn't like). In the novel, both Huang and Feng Heng actually fooled Zhou Bo Tong, into giving up the copy. Because she also wanted the best for her husband, Feng Heng used her photographic memory to copy the second volume of the 9 ying mantra. This show tries waaaaay too hard to make Huang Yaoshi likable to the audience, which didn't really make him 'Huang Yaoshi", who’s arrogance, intelligence and ego, doing whatever he likes regardless of what others thought of him. This was what made him a likable character all these years. Not the mary sue that was portrayed in this version...
i dont know... I hate and love this at the same time. As a big fan of the original work Of LOCH, it was nice to dwell into Plum Blossom Island sect. what i hate was the direction of the plot and the script. it did feel like fanfiction and does not contain the essence of Jin Yong's work. as much as i love Huang yaoshi and Feng Heng portrayal, i think they really tried too hard to make Huang Yaoshi flawless. huang yaoshi was a proud and arrogant character. although he loved his wife, he had great ambitions back in the days. He spoiled his disciples, providing with the best, strongly protecting them from outsiders, fiercely defending them against all slight. This made his disciples all as arrogant. When xuafnfeng and mei defected, this betrayal caused yaoshi to break all his disciples legs, as he can tell, they held hidden motives for him. Feng heng, in her desperation to resolve this fir huang, used her last bit if energy to rewrite the manual, causing her death. Huang was himself, the cause of feng Heng's death. In the show, they painted it as if huang didn't seek out the 9 yin manual, (made no sense cuz he was a martial arts practitioner). Instead writing some stupid plot about him being injured as well along with his wife. Feng heng was the one who tricked zhou botong by herself, was stupid( cuz why would he even suggest huang use the 9 yin manual to heal himself, when his senior told him to protect the manual). Just unnecessary sub plots. Aaaaand don't even get me started on mei's sub plot of revenge...😤
They better!! yess! This show was so funny, even though it dealt with serious subjects such as bullying. A little less depressing compared to light hearted Weak Class hero, which i appreciated.

It is...kind of homophobic, because you can obviously tell the screen writers didn't really know what to write for the characters for Heesu and Seung woo. It was giving season 3 Bridgerton, where you can kind of tell that the writers didn't believe the main couples story could carry much of the series, therefore adding unnecessary plot points that adds not point to the story. It wasn't just that they didn't have enough smooching or huggin scenes. Same with Heesu in Class 2. It was like they were afraid the main couple, being same sex, wouldn't garnish that much popularity among watchers, hence the unnecessary side plots for the straight couples and unfortunately...the tennis. I would say they tried, but they did such a poor job with giving Heesu and SeungWoo some plot. Other than them trying to confess to each other, they don't have a major plot device for them or major conflict to drive their story. I also really think they were trying to hard to make this a Korean version of Heartstopper.

girl BFFR! You know darn well if we were to go around to show people YuShi face, they obviously agree that he is very handsome. He is obviously good looking, ( obvious you are being bias and stuck up by trying to act like your not shallow cuz you refuse to admit someone is obviously conventionally attractive) but he is also very talented, especially among the young actor in the entertainment industry. He's athletic, horseback riding, archery sing, dance, act. He exclude a different kind of charm that's different from most idol celebrities and a lot of people in the industry are taking notice. He not trying to market himself as a regular idol drama actor who's constantly just trying to shoot out series after series( although alot of people wish he would). He doesn't have a lot of work, but most of the stuff he choses to be part of are serious project. Many people in the industry see him as a very promising new film actor. He's already part of a popular ongoing movie franchise and taking part in a new film with some big names such as WuJing, Jet Lee and Nischolas Ntse!

And what He weird stuff did he do? BaTai was written as the greenest flag. Like did you mistake me for talking about the other dude that was with the mom? I mean you can hate the casting but geez.
I never said she was ugly. They could have casted the most BEATIFUL actresss, and I still would not like Wenxiu. I could also say that about BaiTai too. They could've casted the Ugliest man and I would still like the Bai Tai cuz even though YuShi is very handsome, it was not hard for the audience to like the character of BaiTai, who is brave, loyal and devoted.

There was nothing interesting about her. Every time they tried to give her some dept, I feel like it was very forced and out of the blue. For instant, when talking about TouKen's remarriage, this girl Wenxiu, who could barely ask for a raise, suddenly has the gal, to stand up Infront of elderly tribes people to make a statement. It was really out of the blue. Her relationship with Batai felt very forced too. We get to see how she fell for Batai, his bravery, his sense of justice to fight against the patriarchy for Touke and his nieces/nephews and his sense of duty, helping his father out even though he did not want to live a herder's lifestyle anymore. I was very shocked when he suddenly confessed to her, because for the last 4-5 episodes, he barely got to know her other than knowing she is the daughter the store clerk who wants to study writing. Approaching her and her mother because they may have a clue about his brother, which could allow Touke to remarry.
ML is out of FL's league. it was hard to watch at times because she's so annoying. The drama is good overall.
Fr, I could not stand her just cuz she was such a clutz. And for those scenes where she suddenly decide to be outspoken, felt so forced. She might have some unique outlook on life, but I could not see what the ML saw in her. Hated her and her mom too by the end of the series.
Ba tAI is sooo fine omah LORDDDD... But like the only thing I didn't feel like was realistic, or hard to believe ( personal opinion) was how the Ml likes the FL. Like. I feel like he was wayyyy out of her league. Like i feel like while watching the series,I could see how the FL fell for the ML. Other than looks, his dedication to his family, his bravery and kindness I feel like is enough to draw anyone in. The FL on the other hand, Idk... has not shown any likable qualities.
