I do have a special place in my heart for chinese adaptations (and am still looking forward to hyx, chasing the light, etc) especially since I like historicals more than dramas set in modern times. But I'm aware that Taiwan is more or less testing the waters and budget is going to remain an issue for quite some time, however I'm fine with it in exchange of having the chance to see some good novels come to life on the screen. If china was still allowing danmeis to air, I wouldn't have cared about other adaptations much, but since we don't have that, I'm going to take whatever we have. I guess we just have different tastes/priorities, which is alright.

The mysterious past phone calls/voicemails surprisingly didn't play much part into the story, I kind of thought it was going to be some time-travel romance lmao.
