I agree that trope is WAY overused, but it used to be a foundational aspect of BL: These were young STRAIGHT men…
I'm not straight. I'm bi. I thought the part "Same-sex attracted people don't fall for others just because of their gender, we fall for the PERSON too. I won't date every girl I come across, just like how a gay dude wouldn't date every guy." could give you a clue but you probably didn't bother reading my comment to begin with (the same comment which made you come to the conclusion that I'm 'straight' thus in 'no position' to be saying anything.) I wouldn't have minded if you simply disagreed with my opinion or comment, it's only natural & I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but you come across as extremely condescending over a different opinion on a DRAMA out of all things.
If you personally could relate to that trope, good for you. But you could've explained it without that last paragraph. However, regardless of what you said in later part, I do respect the first part and your perspective on this trope, great to hear that you were finally able to be confident in yourself and your identity.
It’s 2022 looking back at this comment, feeling damn proud of SWL for making remarkable improvement. Please…
Dw, I no longer believe he can't act as I've watched tons of his works by now, and also loved how much he has improved. I actually don't even remember making that comment XD
Kind of. It was at least implied and they had a special episode (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cy1PXKoJukU) where the Snake Guy seemed to be whipped for the Emperor.
Just saw the trailer and you're telling me those intense scenes belong to a CHINESE drama? Perhaps I accidentally entered a parallel universe, if so, then I'm never leaving. ( ⚆◡⚆ )
It isn't actually one-sided. Without revealing much spoilers I'd say it's more like they did loved each other…
The author actually gave us two endings — Chapter 126 was titled as 'bad ending' and Chapter 131 was titled as 'happy ending'; You obviously have to read the chapter 126 first and if you're seeking a happy ending, then you can continue to read the novel until 131 (or the extras too, they provided quite interesting info regarding the characters and the aftermath of the main couple's relationship). Otherwise you can leave it at 126 if you like sad endings.
Seems like it. But he still could've loved those two at once, it's not like the pet was his love-rival lmao. Also, nobody was making him choose between his Duke and his pet, so I'd say it was just weak writing. Afterall, it's not like people in relationships always ignore or neglect their pets because they're only capable of caring about one person. His character could've at least shown being sad for a moment or two, before running off to his Duke.
This has to be one of the weirdest yet funniest drama I've seen, although the last few episodes weren't as great as earlier episodes. Also, A-Nan was so cute 🥺
Haven’t read the novel but I heard the ML is obsessed with the FL while she hates him for the longest time,…
It isn't actually one-sided. Without revealing much spoilers I'd say it's more like they did loved each other yet couldn't trust each other's feelings. But there's reasons behind it:
Tantai Jin believes no one can even bear his existence, let alone love him. He also doesn't believe he's capable of loving anyone. He didn't realise his feelings during most of the novel, he just thought what he feels toward Susu is possessiveness.
Susu came from the time where Tantai Jin ruined the whole cultivation world, so she didn't exactly had any good feelings towards him at first — that's why even after falling for him, she kept her guard up lest her emotions end up ruining her only chance to save the future.
There was also misunderstandings and betrayals between them (which didn't came out of nowhere for the sake of it, the writer did a great job) so their relationship in the first life (and when they reunite in the second) isn't the best, but they did like each other. Except, at first it was Susu who tried to make their relationship work in their first life and then it was Tantai Jin who had to make up for his assholery in their second life. However, the love between them was still mutual and didn't begin at the very end. They just happen to be two complex characters who weren't supposed to or allowed by the so-called 'fate' to fall into love, yet they did, and did so deeply.

I'm not sure if Youku is aware but I need this drama as soon as possible to survive. I've been infected with clownery and the doctor says only either this drama or hyx can cure it. By the time 2023 comes, I'll be gone from this world to the clown-hell.
Everytime I think I'm suffering while waiting for this drama, I make sure to remind myself that one of the hyx directors, Zhou Jiawen, got into his ranwan feels at 2am and posted a fanedit with "I can't live if living is without you" lyrics slapped on it.
This dude might be waiting the most to unleash the fanboy inside of him. Imagine being in his shoes, you already watched hyx and ranwan's chemistry is making you go feral, but you can't discuss it with other fans in fear of giving away any spoilers about the drama. We're suffering together, he's suffering alone. 💀
Did the live action already released? If yes where can I watch it
Unfortunately, it didn't get released yet and we aren't even give an official release date. Who knows how long it'll take for hyx to drop... Anyways, welcome to the circus! Seems like our clown sect has gained yet another disciple ˊᗜˋ
Watching this movie felt like accidentally falling asleep on the couch with the TV on; I saw everything, heard everything, but understood nothing. The cinematography was cool though.
🥲 Can Somebody kindly tell Tc🐧 that Right Now its us who wants to see HYX,not our grandchildren (they will…
"Can Somebody kindly tell Tc" Kindly? I'd say we should start a riot outside their main office and hold that damn penguin hostage. I have my pitchforks ready since the beginning, you all can bring along your weapons too. If there's no hyx, then there shall be bloodshed.
I have seen shining for one thing and this legallyromance the similarities between ML (zang wansen and lu xun)…
Have you seen 'Bloody Romance' yet? I personally find Chang'an and Wansen quite similar, even in temperament; Both of them can sacrifice their whole life for the fl and won't even utter a single word about it. There's also this quote by Chang'an which made me like him so much — "If she needs me, I'll protect her. If she wants to fly, I'll lend her a hand. I've never once wanted to restrain her. She doesn't belong to me, she only belongs to herself."
However, there was a bit of misunderstanding between the leads of BR (which cleared up later and none of them were at fault) and it ends up on a slight-cliffhanger/sad + open ending though, but Chang'an is the closest ml I've ever come across to Wansen and he was even played by the same actor.
