Bailu and Yunxi are a cp I'll never get tired of seeing together on the screen. Whether it's modern or historical, I just know these two would ALWAYS manage to do justice to the drama, and not to mention, they act like old bffs off-screen and it's the cutest thing ever! ˃ ᵕ ˂
Shen Yi's skills are so great you could describe a peeled banana to him and he'd end up drawing the man who committed armed robbery in mcdonalds 17 years ago and has been on run ever since he took all the happy meal toys.
Bruh. Not only did they tie up a real monkey with chains in this movie (the monkey was probably there in the drama too I guess, I dropped the drama after a couple of episodes so I've no idea), they even decided to hit him with a stick at 55:17 when the poor monkey was merely moving around on the table. Would it make the directors of chinese movies and dramas go bald if they didn't abuse an animal for a single scene?
Finally, after all these years... I found the movie that everyone and their mother use in historical edits. I can't even begin to describe how often the crying scenes of the fl here appeared in them, but nobody would share the title of this damn movie.
This movie wasn't terrible, but sudden comedic scenes kind of ruined the scary atmosphere imo; it was also weirdly paced, the mystery was revealed before you could even get immersed into the story. Personally, I found the way people died and the backstories quite interesting though, so it was a shame.
Dude looks like he jumped straight out of a webtoon. He can be casted in any webtoon drama adaption at this point and even if he does, I'm not complaining.
Found it kind of funny how the main couple here managed to show so much chemistry in just 18 short episodes, while most (emphasis on 'most' as I'm not putting all in the same basket) of couples in full-length dramas are still stuck with deer-caught-in-the-headlights kisses.
Thank you for the kind words. Douqi honestly deserves all of the credit and praise for providing most of the information…
Well, I have to agree with that too (although you, as a messenger, do deserve some credit in my honest opinion). Douqi really knows how to find great gems to translate, and not to mention, her translation is also amazing and she does all that for free. it's saddening that some company stole her subs for a few series so she had to delete her videos of them on youtube, they really proved that they got no shame by doing such a thing to someone instead of hiring their own translators or even asking/paying her to get them.
Has anyone ever told you before that you're a blessing on mdl? Because I swear, I never even knew there was so many Chinese gl series/movies until you added them here and even created profiles for their cast + this list, and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

Zhang Wansen has to be the best ml I've ever come across, he's everything you could ask for in a ml. It's surprising how Chang An (from bloody romance) used be in the first place before I saw ZWS and he was also played by the same actor.
𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁: That was a uh... interesting short, with what are you doing step-mom and all.
