Well, it isn't really the fl's fault though. It's actually kind of good that she's still being loyal and devoted to Cheng Cheng despite him not remembering her. I just think she should at least pretend to be somewhat like Tan'er and be on friendly terms with the sml instead of avoiding him like a plague, because it isn't going to make him give up, he'll only feel like he's not worthy enough for her or maybe, even develop envy against the ml and try to hurt him in the future...
I kind of feel bad for the sml. I understand that Xiao Tan only has eyes for her husband, the ml, and doesn't want to give any unnecessary hope to the sml but amidst her plans to get back the ml, he gets hurt over and over again. Imagine being in his shoes, a girl you grew up with and loved since childhood is suddenly after your brother and no longer even spares you a glance. I don't blame Xiao Tan for it at all though, I just pity him and wish he could be with the real Tan'er.
Does any one know some good novel which I can read like HYX? I like genre like wuxia and have to be a bl.Please…
If you're looking for something similar to 2ha (besides yuwu, because I think most 2haists have already read it) then I'd suggest 'Wuchang Jie' - https://www.novelupdates.com/series/wu-chang-jie/ it's about two lifetimes/reincarnation/redemption stuff too and ml is literally Taxian Jun, both personality and look-wise, he even used to be an Emperor/Demon Lord in his past life and kept all his memories from back then. It's heavily focused on reincarnation related things though, it's like the underworld arc from 2ha. There's also '4 ancient magical weapons/treasures' like '3 forbidden techniques'. The ml used the 4th treasure 'Xuanyuan Heavenly Secret Talisman' (which can command the soldiers of the three realms - Immortal, mortal & ghost realm) to wreak havoc in his past life just because he was done with cultivation world like Taxian Jun. In short: if you're Taxian Jun obsessed, this novel is a must.
I don't dislike Teh even in the slightest but he can be a bit insensitive at times, especially when he's angry or jealous. I think he's a good character by himself, it's just that Teh and Oh-aew's personalities clash with each other; Oh-aew is more likely to go with the flow and listen to his heart but Teh is a brain person and doesn't know how to react to emotions he can't relate to, since he has always been told to be serious about his future and was never given two options to choose from. Once he chose acting, his whole life is destined to revolve around it no matter what and he can't do something else for the fear that he might disappoint his family and all his past efforts would go to waste. Maybe, he doesn't like Oh-aew's moodiness because he secretly envies the fact that he always had the choice to continue his family business thus can afford being moody unlike Teh, and he also feels his own will getting weaker whenever he sees someone giving up on their dreams as if they're laughing and telling him that his dream is unrealistic, which is something I completely understand tbh. So again, I don't dislike him. On the contrary, I absolutely adore how complex and well-written he is.
Hi, do you have any suggestion about a Chinese novel with similar story ? I mean the angst and kinda enemies to…
The most similar one would be 'Yuwu' since it's by the same author and shares the same universe. In fact, Mo Ran sometimes appears in the author's theatre (yk those lil notes at the end of chapters) to give 'advise' to the protagonist, which always results in him getting kicked out because his solution to all the dating problems in the world is 'just do him' and If it doesn't solve the problem, then you didn't do him right...
The second closest is 'Wuchang Jie' it's about two lifetimes/reincarnation/redemption stuff and ml is literally Taxian Jun, both personality and look-wise, he even used to be an Emperor in his past life and kept all his memories from back then. It's heavily focused on reincarnation things though, it's like the underworld arc from 2ha. So yeah basically, if you're Taxian Jun obsessed, this novel is a must.
I'm really enjoying that season 1 was more focused on Teh and season 2 is dedicated to Oh-aew. It help us understand the characters better and realise the fact that they might not share the exact same struggles but that doesn't mean they don't struggle at all. The angst is also realistic and not overdone, I can't thank the writers enough for not being lazy when it comes to establishing the characters and the story.
Reposting my comment from 2 months ago (take a guess at how far I had to scroll? XD) because I've noticed that new commenters seem to be worried about the censorship, shimei's gender-swap and rumours a bit too much.
──────.•⸙────── Here's what the insiders who've tried a few episodes of hyx said about it:
“The leads’ CP feels (bromance/chemistry) are quite obvious, and they’ve kept the classic scenes and lines, including the two marriage scenes. Regarding boy-to-girl swap of a character, to be honest I think it’s alright. It’s the same as in the original novel, because smj’s character is just trying to survive amidst the conflict, survival and finishing his business is his priority (which means there won't be any forced romantic scenes between her and Mo Ran).
Her replies to the comments: Fan: For those who haven’t read the original novel but are interested in hyx, what is txj’s first appearance in the show like? The viewer: There’s one camera shot that really makes you scream.
Fan: Does it have too much torture? (referring to Taxian Jun torturing Chu Wanning). The viewer: Extremely.

"I promise you guys, after watching a few episodes of Haoyixing, it's obvious they've spent a lot of money on it. Personally, I think the styling is the best among the current bl adaptations, both of their outfits look great, especially Chen Feiyu's. Friends who've read the novel said the plot stays close to the novel, Keeping all of the original lines, even the iconic line from the ending was kept. As a non-novel fan, got cp feels (bromance/chemistry) from it too. The angst is satisfying. Regarding people's uproar about Shimei, because I didn't see too much of her so can't tell it exists. We should just focus on the end product (over rumours) instead. I believe hyx will explode in popularity."
Reading their unbiased opinions on this drama really assured me. Especially the second viewer's, Since he's a guy who hasn't even read the novel yet he can see ranwan's chemistry so it must be quite obvious. Now, they're to blame for the mess of a person I’ll become when hyx finally airs. :)) ──────.•⸙──────
Hope everyone would stop stressing over hyx now, as it's really bad for your mental health and overall wellbeing. Please take care.
What if it's actually taking so long to release because Feiyu said all the dialogues in his emoji language (like he does in his emoji-diaries) & the hyx team is still trying to decipher them? 🤔
Same! Honestly, this scene, their first meeting in Sisheng Peak, Ghost wedding and 'Goodnight Moran' are my most anticipated scenes in hyx. I really wonder how they'll turn out.
The last episode and episode 6 were the best ones imo. Others were kind of boring and cliché.
I found the last ep more sad than scary though. The kid's spirit possessed the shaman and made her eat his remains to basically 'rebirth' so he could see his mom again, but she already committed suicide on the tree he was buried under.
Every day I wake up feeling more and more impatient for hyx than the day before. They should at least drop the trailer or a teaser, it'll surely help this starving fandom a lot if we could get a lil glimpse of how the drama is going to be like. I wouldn't even mind waiting for a thousand years then tbh.
Do you believe that bl some fans are giving this less rating because its pure lgbtq movies love to see pathetic…
Not surprised tbh. Some idiots always get offended when a lgbtq+ drama isn't pandering to straight people and depicts the real life struggles of lgbtq+ individuals.
