Yeah, honestly I think this name is kind of cute lol. But unfortunately, Chu Wanning is going to be the imperial guqin player instead of Chu Fei so I guess won't be able to see him being called a 'consort' in the drama, that's why I didn't mention it.

All jokes aside, I've nothing against those dramas at all but I can't help feeling salty seeing how easy it is for straight dramas to promote and air. Meanwhile, a danmei adaption that has been censored to the point that it can even pass off as kids cartoon is having so much trouble. I just want to see Taxian Jun being an unreasonably handsome brat who give names like 'deep fried empress' to a dead person out of sheer boredom, is it too much to ask for?
Us: Hyx when? Tencent: *Intentional silence* Tencent: ...Anyways here's the drama that's unrelated to hyx in every way possible, and was confirmed like 2 days ago yet got the permission to air already because it's as straight as bamboo trees that pandas love to pole dance on. Please watch it even though you're obviously not interested *Insert customer service smile*.
Mhhh.. I am this non-novel reader and I don't read it because it does not exist on my language, at least not found.…
I think you need to re-read my comment. I wasn't talking about all non-novel readers in general, I was only pointing out how hyx taking so long to release is secretly a blessing in disguise for those who are reading it right now. Whether anyone prefers dramas or novels is none of my business.
I find it funny how 80% of non-novel readers used to be hesitant to read 2ha for the fear that they won't be able to complete it before hyx drops, but now everyone has lost every single shred of their hope thus they're finally reading it.
This drama is a freaking magnet. I've given up on waiting just a few days ago but here I'm, checking this page again because of the damn muscle memory of my fingers. Everyday is a constant battle with clownery despite knowing hyx won't be airing soon...
Honestly, I don't think waiting or trusting rumours is worth it at this point. It's just futile and unnecessarily draining for everyone's mental health. Who cares whether it's dropping next month or next year? At least, it's confirmed that hyx’s going to release one day so it's not like it'll suddenly disappear from the face of the earth or we'll never see it. I'm just glad that my favourite novel got adapted with my favourite actors who are also going to dub their own characters, not everyone has that kind of luck judging by the thousands of amazing danmeis who never even got an audio drama adaption, let alone a LA with an extremely high budge like hyx.
I kind of feel like if hyx actually dropped one day, nobody - literally not even a single soul on earth or anywhere else in our solar system, would believe it. Tencent would be making a thousand posts on their weibo telling us that hyx started airing yet we'll probably be like "You're late fam, april fools already passed".
It's not actually that bad (for a web series) tbh, not amazing either but still pretty enjoyable. It kind of gives me 'The Tale of Nokdu' vibes. Choi kiwan's makeup is too thick though, he would've looked more feminine if they used a bit more natural makeup.
(Some) users in the comment section before it even started airing: You all are delusional!! It's not a bl, the ML is going to fall for the MC as a woman and never realise that it's a guy. The MC in the first episode: *Confesses his real identity right after they get married*
Tencent: *Intentional silence*
