Personally, I dont find passive from XL...its his style (but,I did not expect him play zither&wear red and not go take her🤣). I still take it as he let go XY with someone she loves and could be with her. Well why not take Jing's offer when his soldiers starving too. But ruining her wedding can get him to elimenate FFB, maybe also creates conflicts between Xiyan, Chenrong and Haoling. I still see XL freeing XY from her marriage, he made her pay the price with her reputation..But he did it because he care for her too. in 1st season he asked for earth in Chenrong to pay for him curing XY from CX when he became King. About Jing family, I do actually like how they showed him working towards it to find the truth. But the way XY able to get that red core to me is not feeling natural.(It did not make sense as in novel). So far im still enjoying the drama. I still enjoy all yaojing scenes from it. Maybe because its my fav thing from this drama as awhole. But I can also feel something is off with it as well.

Because they are closed off to Jing character as that already..... they are too blind to what Jing did because they are fantasizing to see something else...

However, making XY and Haoling, having bad face just because he just wanted to make XY reputation gone bad (or wanting to show off he has power over her?? and could only go to Jing,..or she should hate him so she had to pay it witth her reputation???...that reason doesnt work with my senses. While reading I even have a feeling he wanted to eliminate FFB with this event.

Well. .XY was never said to be sad without FFB at all when she was with Jing. Some try to make her long engagment as to be that reason..but deny all the situations that is happening (even her being not unhappy at all in not being with FFB/XL at all)

We like him because he is family oriented and treated xy in respectfully. He loves XY so much. He is passionate. AND HIS GOAL WAS TO BE WITH HER HONORABLY. He needed to Tushan title to match her princess status. He is very patient and used the most gentle and calm way to resolve the matters. He is the one who is mastermind behind to support CX goal, FL goal...and his own. We did not count his failure in losing to think of his respectful elder to do him in such a level to be a weakness. Its unfortunate....not a weakness. On contrary, we wont be fully understand to the appealing of a man who showed of "I am such a bad guy" or a man who claim to protect her but not seemingly care what she care.

Xiao Yao also smiled, even if she couldn’t talk to him or stand too close, but their hearts were aligned together and felt very close. .....💜💜
