My thoughts after watching 3 eps. First of all, I do not get disappointed at all (for now), that it is the drama, I would like to watch since 2023. Although it is not perfect, and still flawed, it is still very entertaining and fun. Because story starts with such light feel and humor, it is just so relaxing to watch a silly comedy for once. Although i am saying , its silly comedy, I can already feel there is seriousness underneath and may likely future episodes will be heavy. Again, my favorite casts do not disappoint me at all. They are just so perfect. Li Yitong's Fan Yue is bubbly yet have goal in life (this is probably why she agree to be Qi Zheng's consort who can guide him) that is to make those around her live better, people have life better or her country be better, probably this drama also give vibes she might also want to promote more women involvement in politics which in those times were not allowed. Joseph's Qi Zheng acted as he's all lazy and dummy but we can see that he's not. I have a feeling those 3 old men surrounding him might not be actually good or righteous as seemed. But we don`t really why he did what he is doing. And Deng Wei's dual characters Zheng Shi & Lou Qi Yan already giving both of his identities have cunningness. As Lou Qi Yan, he is someone Fan Yun loathe because of how he treats common people. Zheng Shi appeared absolute gentleman , with a hidden cunning vibe. Again yep, why and how he became like that is not told yet. (Why he also tone deaf)! I think cinematography is overall fine. The costume are simply so gorgeous. It's such a pleasure to watch so far.
BOOKED MY SEAT HERE ! Im just done with Mysterious Lotus Case Book and I quite like Joseph there. He is good in Veil of Shadows too. I can't wait to see him as full ML here. Li Yitong is simply beautiful and cute. I met her first long time ago in The Condor Heroes...and then in Dream within a Dream. Deng Wei...of course my man. ❤️ He already won my heart with the Gentle Jing and the Handsome Su Yishui. I can't wait for him to swing my heart again as psycho but beautiful Zheng Shi & Lou Qi Yan. Tian Jia Rui is such green baby 💚Aww... I can't wait to see this side if him after his characters in MJTY, FOF and VOF. Riley and Dai Luwa as 2nd CP! Such a bonus to joy. All in all, the casting is just majestic💘❤️🔥💘. Moreover, the trailers give such vibrant colors I like. The costumes are beautiful. I can't wait to enjoy this drama and chit chat here....
This drama is still good lol ..have to say I like main cp. I just hope this poison pill stuff got resolved as quickly as possible.. i know viewers like strong good powerful femala leads..but to me its ok to show ML dominate too . The fact is i like how ML will come to protecting FL. ❤️ But yeo one thing villains here are too over power. Hope our leads beat them soon.
I really like Chen Duling and Zhou Yiran paring ❤️...i think their perspective roles fit them. I really like how she trusts him and he protects her 🥰 I am very much looking forward to good ending.
Apart from that I really like the red color theme alongside with yellow and grey(when male lead past was shown) and the sound track playing at background give true suspense feel. And overall pace is superb so far. Im loving it.

This is my first Chen Feiyu drama, quite adore him..Maybe I just dearly love Duan Xu..I did check out When Destiny Bring The Demon, I like how cp romance was handle there Sima was handsome, but I still think that one is less unique comparing with this one. This is subjective. Moreover, I need to fully watch it. This is my third Reba drama, while I adore her both in Eternal Love of Dream and Long Ballad, I like her best here. Guess i like her in feminine , versatile yet also strong role..

Well on X and IG most comments on LBTG are very positive and think its criminally underated..😅 I hardly see negative talk for LBTG. I'm comparing with how people talk on VoS storytelling wise. That one has more mixed reviews in comparison. On MDL is something of course. Just saying so I do enjoy VoS though.
I'll save this for last of watching Chen Feiyu's dramas. I've started When destiny brings the demon and got hooked…
Actually most reviews are positive. Many dearly love it if you notice. Well there are comments saying its too slow blabla. This is subjective. I dont find it slow. Maybe some people just cannot "get into the story" or align with it. This can happen. Especially because LBTG is bit unique. This just make some absolutely love it and some cannot get with it I think. It does need some certain mood i guess.😅 But this is a good drama. i just hope u enjoy it when you watch it..
Yes....theres must be something wrong with score..all episodes are rated no less than 9 . This overall score should not be less than 8.5 lol im bitter😒
