Well that's why the first impressions of this plot had me raising my eyebrows. They didn't give us much to goff of other than Moo's Chinese ethnicity aversion and obviously there must be a good reason why so I'm going to watch the show and wait for the full explanation. Just saying at first glance, the whole, not wanting to date someone over their race, and the other party still overly gaga for them had me looking sideways and needing more information pronto

Nope they could have watered it down but not by that much. It doesn't matter if you were a novel reader or not. Typhoon deserved more justice than what he got and so did we as the viewers for having to watch it week after week. If you didn't want to watch it you could skip that part but I and a lot of other people were annoyed the much deserved revenge was pretty non-existent.

No you've got a point here and you're totally valid with your complaints. These errors, or better yet, nitpicks, have bothered me too as more days pass by but not too much. I'm still not over the lame injustice of how easily Typhoon 's dad got off in Beside the Sky in comparison to the novel. Such a waste. I wanted to see the sweet revenge in live action, but the production team botched it, so I am sill not over it 😞

Ya how tragic. I want to visit Thailand too and many other Asian countries, but that's an honest turnoff, especially for the darker-skinned tourists. It's their way of life, but it can also be quite offensive. I'd also just stay away from those aisles and know that if I did ever come across those kinds of products, I'll be judging hardcore because wtf?

Fr! Even the lighter-skinned ones are whitewashed with makeup and filters, and it's so sad to see them change their skin tone for their roles. They are genuinely prettier without that pasty powder and foundation. I'm sick of it. I don't care how it is over there, that shouldn't be their so-called beauty standards. I want the darker-skinned Asians to shine, there are so many ignored beauties out there!

Couldn't agree more on this. I don't know if it's the filters or the heavy makeup applications, but it gets on my nerves. I don't know what's up with the blatant colorism in all of these shows, but it's time someone addresses it. These actors are not White, they are Asian, so they should embrace their natural, beautiful, sun-kissed, tanned skin and all that melanin! Enough with the needless whitewashing already, it's so unnecessary.

Now that you guys mention it, the acting could have been better, I agree for both Dao's British dad and Emma. Still pretty good show otherwise, but they (production) should have been more selective and careful regarding acting talent and chemistry when casting for young Arthit and Emma. A shame, but here we are. There's going to be some sore spots here and there

I enjoyed this week's episode a lot. I thought It was pretty spot on when comparing to the novel. However, to be honest, I wish they made Emma (Artit's mom) look sick, and American. wasn't she supposed to be American? I could have sworn the novel said she was but maybe she was an immigrant? Not a big deal, but it confused me during the flashbacks with young Arthit that the actress playing Emma had a non-American accent. I found there was a disconnection between her and young Arthit so I was a bit distracted and didn't believe the mother-son relationship between the two, which is a shame given the heavy subject matter and all of Thit's trauma but that's just me. Other than that, the episode was amazing 😍🤩

I adore BossNoeul but the plot of this series has me raising my eyebrows. Noeul's character Moo not wanting to date Boss's Fu because he's overly clingy and annoying but mostly because he's of Chinese-ethnicity? Very problematic. Hopefully, and I do mean hopefully, there is a good explanation for Moo Moo's aversion. It's like TharnType 2.0

I just finished this show, and overall, I quite enjoyed it! It was cute, and it didn't take itself too seriously. I think it got better towards the second half, to be honest, however. I didn't love how Apo (Thorn) would get drunk pretty much every time he would feel insecure or stressed out, and I didn't love how Apo's (Apo) behaviour pre-accident was widely accepted and expected by his parents. Why would they want him to act such a way, treat his brother the way he does, and be an all-around spoiled, bratty menace to anyone and everyone???? Bothered me a lot.

But I really liked and appreciated the overall storytelling and pacing of this series, as well as seeing the real sassy Apo, who didn't actually seem so bad. It was awesome seeing him put Yi in his place regarding Ya. I loved how everyone reconciled their differences and became one big happy family, as well as most of the mysteries and questions getting solved and answered. I did not at all care for the second couple, so I fast-forwarded through all of their scenes.

I loved Ya and Apo (Thorn) together, they were a beautiful couple, and BigPark perform some remarkable kisses and beautifully intimate/romantic NC scenes. Speaking of which, I enjoyed the romance and intimacy of their final NC scene in episode 10 (I loved all of episode 10), but I didn't like how the powers that be abruptly cut off the scene just when it was getting really good, and ended the episode and the show like that. It felt rushed, like there was more to say and do, and it took me right out of the moment as if the rug was pulled right out from under me when I was fully immersed in the scene. I was pretty annoying, but other than that, the show was a 9/10 for me! Go watch it!

Ok, so I, like many others, am in peril about "that" particular scene in episode 8. I was so so so excited to see those scenes be adapted into live action, and lo and behold, I was disappointed. Not surprising, though, since these BLs are notorious for watering down epic source materials from novels. I love the actors; they have all done a remarkable job thus far, but in episode 8, surely the writers and director must have known people would want to see as close to the source material as possible for those particular scenes to be adapted, and they botched and cutesy-rolled them. I can't say I'm not pissed. I expected as much because the probability of a rushed, watered-down job was high given the track record of BLs, but I still had hope for a satisfactory adaptation, and this is what we got. Yes, this is a full-blown complaint. Kudos to a job well done about everything else to do with this season, but I will bitch when anticipated scenes are not executed up to par.

Exactly, and allegedly it's because they don't want to compete with Dare You to Death viewership? 😒If that's the case then they should have premiered the show one day early on Wednesdays instead of two days later on Saturdays, thus, making us wait even longer than we already have. Saturday is a popular day for viewership. Lots of people watch shows on Saturdays, plus, there's Me+Thee to compete with which is mega popular. Wednesdays are empty and free for the picking. I'm annoyed too.

I see what you mean of Thee being cartoonish. He's definitely a caricature of a Disney villain in my eyes 🤣. He's a baffoon buts he's still loveable and I totally know what you mean about people humoring his antics and personality. I love it so far, the show is doing exactly what it's setting out to so far, but I can completely understand how the comedy and cringe can be too much, especially in contrast to down-to-earth characters like Peach and Mok who are always around Thee. One can only have so much patience :)

Hey, if you don’t like it, then you don’t like it — that’s totally fair. I do agree, though, that it’s worth watching through at least episodes 3 or 4 to see how you feel. Be warned: as you may be aware, the camp and comedy you’re noticing are completely intentional. The creators made that clear from the pilot trailer.

The show is meant to be over-the-top, exaggerated, and yes, occasionally cringey, because Thee is a spoiled, pampered billionaire drama king who’s completely out of touch with reality. He grew up absorbing life lessons from his mother’s soap operas, so that melodramatic worldview naturally shapes his extreme personality. This is the type of comedy that makes this show refreshing, and Pond is doing a great job portraying Thee's comedic, lovesick, egomaniacal, craziness.

Peach’s calm, grounded demeanor is designed to contrast with Thee’s chaos and create balance between them — and that contrast is what gives the rom-com its harmony. Like I said, I know you’ may already be aware of the reasoning behind these creative choices, but I figured my perspective might help put them into context.

I’m really loving this show so far! I’m pleasantly surprised by just how charming and sweet it is. PPW has clearly matured and sharpened their acting range, skills, and overall capabilities since their We Are days—it’s impossible not to notice. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet it knows exactly when to ground itself with sincerity. I especially enjoy the pacing and natural progression of Peach and Thee’s blossoming romance, along with Thee’s character development. While it may not be for everyone, this series is a true rom-com at its core, boasting exquisite production, excellent direction, plenty of comedy, and praise that is thoroughly deserved all around. It's for sure one of GMMTV's strongest productions, as it has a lot of heart. Now let's get to the actual romance already! 🥰🤣😈🥰

It was advertised exactly as it's being portrayed. I want another serious Mafia show too. And a vamp one but no one seems to be able to pull that off. Anyways, with this show, we are getting exactly what we were told since that first pilot trailer released last year, so we can't really feel disappointed with what we're getting today. I'm happy with it so far and I'm glad a lot of others like it too 😊
