Title ABO Desire
With Wenlang and Gao Tu, we saw in the scene from their Uni days that Wenlang didn't like it when that girl insulted…
Hi. I got that, but I still don't like his superiority complex. I know it's a genetic, hierarchy social-status sort of thing in their society so I guess I understand but their behaviour still urks me. Anyways, I'm still very willing to give the second couple a chance, but it will take some time and decent writing.

Title ABO Desire
I wasn't going to watch this show because of the whole Omegaverse thing, but I caved pretty quickly due to all the overhype and so many people recommending it to me. Admittedly, I do like it. It's alluring, seductive, and holds my attention. For the show's worldbuilding, I appreciate the way they explain the ABO lore in detail. The show is a bit slow-paced, but in a rare turn of events for me, I don't mind the slow burn since I trust that the payoff period will be rewarding, at least for the main couple.

Regarding the secondary couple, I am not sure how to feel about them yet. I am avidly not a fan of the bully-to-lovers trope. I don't understand how victims fall for their abusers in stories; however, if written correctly and explained well, I can sometimes overcome that, depending on the characters, backstory, pacing, and circumstances. But in Shen Wen Lang's case, he's just an arrogant, self-absorbed douche who bitches too much to Gao Tu about hating Omegas and their scents πŸ™„πŸ€¨. Like, we get it. You have an aversion towards Omegas; shut up about it already. Clearly, for non-novel readers, we will eventually get the back story on that, but he's already a bore to me. And Gao's weird hero-worship of him like a whipped, love-sick puppy is pathetic.

I like Gao, but I feel sorry for him. And that SWL is unworthy of Gao's unconditional devotion and unrequited secret love. Gao's pining while he suffers because he frequently has to hide his Omega identity is pitiful, especially for such an unattractive and undeserving person like SWL. Hopefully, the secondary couple will change my mind about them as their interactions and relationship nurture and progress, but so far, I'm not impressed.

Plus, premiering the show with three episodes, only to release one episode every week thereafter, is cruel and unreasonable, especially if it is going to be slow-paced and the episodes are around 40 minutes long with not much happening. That's kind of dumb imho, but what do I know? They are really going to make us watch this show once a week until OCTOBER, though? Ugh, SMH πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ. Maybe I will skip it till mid-September, and it will be better by then. We'll see. To everyone else, please enjoy!

Title The Next Prince Spoiler
WTF!!!! I can't believe they did. My favorite character in this whole show. I'm so pissed off! That's like watching…
For me, it wasn't that surprising. Shows always kill, or oftentimes kill off one of the most beloved characters. It was predictable that one of the main or lovable side characters would bite the dust, and most likely, it would be Chakri, to evoke an emotional reaction from the audience. SO many writers do it that I consider it a useless trope at this point. If Chakri is actually dead, what was the real purpose of killing him off, other than the obvious? I guess the reasoning doesn't need to be deep, but still. He deserves a better ending than that, even if he sacrificed his life and went out as a hero. Meh.

Because people like what they like, and clearly, and if you don't that's your problem. Not theirs's, not X's.

I'm no singer and have no vocal talent, but even I could tell Narin was hella off key the whole time. Glad to be validated πŸ€¦πŸΎπŸ˜‚πŸ€

This show is great but the villains and their tactics are laughable. I've been trying not to underestimate Thitawit…
That's what I'm wondering. That scene when Thitawit was (seemingly) seductively rubbing his hand all up on Tada had me hella confused, as it was all subcontex and body language. Why is NO ONE talking about this? Hopefully, we will get more background on their history as youths in future episodes because I was shocked and confused at the implications.

It's not that easy to live in the "now" when you're constantly surrounded by the toxic, clearly jealous, conniving,…
Agreed. Of course it's the one who deserves it the least who has to take the brunt of Armin's frustrations and harsh words. I felt bad for Tada, too. Whether he's TD or not, Armin shouldn't have done that to him. It bothered me, but I can also understand.

Yes, Armin was supposed to be in his forties at the beginning, and at least Thada was too, he was probably even…
Agreed, the Costume/Makeup department was pretty lazy with that. They could have added some crow's feet, smile lines, or some faint salt + pepper to 40 year 40-year-old Armin to demonstrate the drastic difference in time and age. Nothing too crazy, but certainly visible enough to show the aging other than glasses, which added nothing. You're right, Pond looked the same. And no way is Peterpan 27? I thought he was in his early to mid-30s. Actually, his age sounds about right. I'm just so used to millennials, and Gen Z looking so much younger than their actual ages, that Peterpan and Pond caught me off guard by actually looking their age, even though they both still look great and youthful, but physically mature.

I'm in the middle of Ep 5. im starting to hate Armin's character. why cant he just live the the "now" time? leave…
It's not that easy to live in the "now" when you're constantly surrounded by the toxic, clearly jealous, conniving, calculating, and always scheming people who outwardly hate you, who did, and may have also strongly contributed to your murder in your previous life that ended not so long ago. I can understand why Armin is stuck in the past. Especially when he does nothing wrong, yet is always met with such disdain from literally everyone around him, other than Tada and naive Sam, who will later backstab him.

Title Eye Contact
A lot of people enjoyed show and loved the second couple. I am one of them. I love games and toxic relationships…
Yes, and you are right. BUT. I am saying that because this show includes rape and people don't enjoy watching rape and circumstances for which the rape was immersed in the relationship between Chain and Korn is why people don't like it, therefore, the lower rating, aside from all the other reasons you mentioned is valid. It's fiction, every one is aware of that, but the storytelling is too messed up for a lot to stomach, ergo, a low rating, among other things.

Title Eye Contact
A lot of people enjoyed show and loved the second couple. I am one of them. I love games and toxic relationships…
Excuse me. I also (surprisingly) enjoyed this show, despite its flaws, and I agree with the criticisms you mentioned that people should be making. But in regards to people disapproving of the rape and the Chain+Jorn coupling and lowering the score because of that, I don't think you have the right to judge. For one, you don't know Chain+Jorn are the main reasons for the low MDL rating. Two: everyone has different tastes. So if you are ok with watching media that depicts the romanticization of sexual violence then that's good on you just like it's ok for other viewers to love watching mafia bosses personally beat the shit out of someone, then go home to their loved one as if they're some misunderstood, ruff around the edges hero. Rape and violence in media are, understandably, not everyone's cup of tea. People who don't like watching it also understand it's fiction; they are not stupid babies for you to talk down to. For most people, rape isn't pleasant to watch. Just like brutal murder or vicious gang beatings of an individual are unpleasant. The point is, in both cases, whether in this show that depicts rape, or in another that depicts graphic violence, humans are physically brutalizing one another. Although fiction, the story still depends on the viewer's preferences when watching and what they consider tolerable, entertaining viewing experiences. And in Eye Contact's case, the sexual dynamic between Chain and Jorn didn't work for a lot of people for a multitude of reasons you aren't privy to. Sorry if you disagree.

It's called Plot Build Up. As I'm sure you're aware, their teasing is a constant sort of, "catch me if you can"…
Agreed. Just fluffy nonsense instead of intellectual intrigue that actually consists of storytelling and dynamic characters with personalities other than hot bodies and good looks. Heaven forbid, right?

personally i love a slow burn. unresolved sexual and romantic tension are like crack to me. my toxic trait is…
Ya but sometimes slow burns are too slow, and boring. And then when the couple does get together, their fire is extinguished because it took too long for them to get together, or they get together, and their relationship is just boring. The romantic relationships in this show however, are at least thrilling. Although, sometimes I wish WSW would give CC some something other than the smallest of crumbs. I feel bad for CC sometimes lol.

Love the series but this constant teasing is going nowhere, self gratification scenes , short it might be is getting…
It's called Plot Build Up. As I'm sure you're aware, their teasing is a constant sort of, "catch me if you can" chasing game. Someone else said they're also playing Cat & Mouse, which I'd say is also accurate. Their relationship is a slow burn, but it's a good kind, where you know the reward will justify the means. There are 24 episodes, so we need to establish the relationship, build on it, then navigate through it as multiple obstacles inevitably arrise. So far, the pacing has been on point, and although I agree that Yue Yue is bothersome, which is the point, her inclusion in the show, is fundamental to the plot. She'll be on her way eventually.

Title ABO Desire
It's more like a guy impregnating another guy who also has male body parts. Wattpad has alot of those.
That's not what intersex means, and don't be a stick in the mud. Im not crazy about mpreg and the omegaverse either. But, it is in fact fantasy whether you you agree with the concept or not. Fantasy is all about escapism and letting your imagination and inhibitions run wild. Your dreams are fantasies whilst you sleep. Fantasy isn't meant to mirror real life. It's a vehicle for expressionism, creativity, spontaneity, etc. If humans fly and animals talk in a fantastical world, then they are still animals and humans within that particular world, only, they have special powers or attributes about them. Not that I agree, but in the omegaverse, men can simply impregnate other men and that is considered normal because it's a fantastical world. It doesn't have to make sense to you or anyone else because it's escapism and that world has it's own set of rules, science, beliefs, physiology, psychology, sociology, etc.

I won't say you're a hater, but you're absolutely a COMPLAINER! Good grief, so much plot happens in today's episode,…
Sorry, but whether you like it or not, everything you just listed is in fact plot as it builds into the events that encompasses the show and the characters' personalities. I watched Young Royals too, and I agree that that show was marvelous. But Khanin didn't grow up a royal as Willy from YRs did so he isn't accustomed to their way of living and acting. His servants stubbornly told him to boss them around, as is his right as their "superior," so he does. Khanin isn't like Willy. He is naive, out of his element, and still acclimating to his newfound environment, family, and title of being royal and reigning heir. Sure, he could be a bit more mature at times, but being a prince was forced on him so you could give him some leeway there. The show is more light hearted, yes, but Young Royals is Swedish, a complete different story, tone and visual aesthetic, and TNP is, well Thai. Sorry that it's s different. Doesn't mean that it's, bad it just means you have different tastes and at this point, maybe you should waste your time watching it anymore if everything about it is so insufferable to you even though there are still 7 more episodes for plot development. Complaining on here isn't going to magically make the show any better.

Thanks for the info. I noticed Charan wearing some Nike, or was it Adidas, activewear in the last episode during Khanin's assassination attempt so that's product placement. I agree they could be more subtle with the product placement and utilize it better as you suggested, but it's mostly likely different there than it is in the West regarding products and who the target audiences are. As for the blatant advertising in the show, it is pretty typical so I was expecting to see it at some point, one way or another. It is kind of strange that Chakri seems to be obsessed with Khanin's hair-care though. The screenwriters could have found a better excuse to include the hair products IMHO πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
