Title Fourever You
I fast forward the first couple to get to the Second. Johan and North made this drama for me. I think Earth needs…
Earth's acting is pretty good. What we need is to see him be challenged and take on more serious roles, and to stop being type casted. That's the problem. We are not able to witness what Earth is capable of due to the roles they are given and how costume designers always dress them. It's really disappointing. But at the same time, maybe that's their preference when selecting roles and characters to portray 🀷🏽

I get it’s entertaining to mock me but what I meant by that is that GMMTV is ackin to a content farm, as in…
I agree. I wish GMMTV would take risks now with their shows and produce content that was more versatile, mature, and grittier with maybe darker themes, aesthetics, and tones. Why does it ALWAYS have to be fluffy and light-hearted rom-coms the majority of the time in a university setting? I really don't understand why they can't change it up and put some real effort into their shows when they do. I love that GMMTV rolls out multiple shows per year. But I agree with some commenters who say they do it at the expense of quality. The writing is off, the story pacing is off or all over the place, the acting is sometimes off, and the kiss scenes could be better. Investment in the quality of their shows needs to be a priority if they want to keep the loyalty of their consumers. It's ok for fans to have standards, so I don't know why some people are shaming the ones who do. If people are fine with mediocrity and the formulaic practices regarding the content of GMMTV shows then you do you. But having quality and high production values is NEVER bad and is certainly not too much to ask for. Often, it feels like this company has more talent signed with them than crew members who can produce and develop their shows. However, judging from Me and Thee's pilot trailer, this one looks really good and I am very excited to see it.

This series is good but it did not need to be 17 episodes. It is the same problem Wabisabi made with Until We…
actually, I think 17 episodes were appropriate. The problem Is the writing of the plots made everything drag on or seem inconsistent so that is maybe why you think 17 EPs may seem excessive. Had the buildup and development of the story arcs and relationships between the characters were written with more focus and direction, then the pacing would have flowed way better, the relationships would have been established way earlier, and we would have gotten to enjoy the couples actually be couples In the honeymoon phase for way longer then we were shown, especially when regarding JohanNorth. I personally would have liked to have seen more physical affection between HillTer because it got old really fast with how evasive and squeamish Ter was with Hill almost every time Hill initiated Hugs or Kisses with Ter, as is what boyfriends do with their partner. Ter had me so confused and frustrated. πŸ™„πŸ˜‘πŸ€¨

Director could've sacrificed HillTer and nobody would have complained πŸ˜‚
Not true, speak for yourself. I liked HillTer alot. The writers just did not do aa very good job writing out their relationship arc. It was way too slow paced and consequently, JohanNorth suffered for it. I don't know what they, or the director or whoever was in charge of the story editing was thinking with those decision making, but you don't need to bash HillTer just because you liked the other couple more. I'm sick of so many people doing this πŸ˜”

I love how Johan and North's families are sooooo supportive of them as a couple. πŸ˜πŸ’žI hope we get a lot more…
I agree! The writers and director have such a good show, original source material, and great actors to work with, but do not put in the effort to go a step higher, or go the next level with delivering content that fans will eat up and satisfy us. Where was the love scenes between both couples? I didn't need anything explicit, but I honestly expected at least one from both couples and was super disappointed when the didn't deliver, especially considering the opening scene of this series, and with how sexy Johan is and how long he waited for North! Like come on guys!😑😀 Everyone is right. Where was the hottub scene between JohanNorth that was advertised? As I said before in another comment, it do agree that the finale felt rushed. It was satisfying enough, but there could have been a little bit more drama, more sass, more sexiness, and more fleshed out conversations on pretty much all of the important conversations between the characters. When you guys watch it, you'll know what I mean. As I said, this finale definitely could have leveled up regarding the entertainment factor. It was good, but I could have been great! It is a FINALE after all.

I don’t understand the hype regarding a hot tub scene. Are you guys a perverts?
True, as good as the show was, there was a lot of false advertising or miscommunication from the marketing team's side. You can't deny that. So of course people are disappointed and are allowed to feel so. I was hoping to see more intimate scenes between both couples as well, or at least one love scene for both because there was a lot of time spent building up their relationships, but we hardly got to see them be couples. The 17th episode was really good but it felt rushed. We should have had that 18th episode to flesh out story arcs and important conversations between characters to tie up the loose ends that the 17th episode rushed through.

This is a 2 season/part series. It says on the poster up above that this is Part 1. Season/part 1 only focuses…
In the title sequence, it also states that the show is based off the stories that focus on JohanNorth and HillTer but no one pays attention to that or always skips it then asks why this season only focuses on those two couples. The trailer is very misleading so I can understand the disappointment, but the intro does inform you what your getting.

It is the finale after all. I don't find it too unbelievable to include HillTer scenes still but obviously, they should still focus on Johan and North since they weren't as featured or well balanced in comparison to HillTer.

Title Our Youth
I think it's easy to forget that actually yes; intolerance, lack of understanding, and lack of acceptance is still…
I agree, it is easy to forget and understand their circumstances. Us in the Western countries are now more privileged and fortunate regarding the current climate surrounding LGBTQ+ topics and cultures. Although it is far from a Utopia , do not get me wrong, we still have it way easier. However, I just found it hard to believe that the friends acted as if LGBTQ+ people was a completly foreign concept. Especially in 2024. I know Minase and Hirukawa live in a more conservative location in Japan but that prospect just took me off guard. The fact that they couldn't even entertain the idea, was astonishing as if they were all living in a period that took place 100 years ago. It was very surprising and I suppose I do not understand. I can still appreciate the show and give 100% applause to everything and everyone else involved regardless though. It truly was a very well done work of art.

I also really enjoyed this show and I loved the casting and performances of the actors who portrayed Minase and Hirawa. The show overall was great, and although sad and tragic at times, was beautifully executed. However, Minase's friends were really annoying and irrelevant to me. They really can't comprehend that gay or bisexual people exist in Japan and that it isn't just a Western concept? Why did they act so shocked and confused when Hirawa was testing the waters regarding outing his relationship with Minase to them? That part really irked me. Also, Hirawa's mother sucked ass, and was just as bad and guilty to Hirawa as her drunkard abusive ex-husband.

Title Bad Guy My Boss Spoiler
Omggg am stil wondering if it’s worth watching I saw a reel where this elyes guy kissing somebody else with…
It does have a happy ending for everyone. But Pat, the boss's (Elyes) assistant barely has a backbone in the show which really aggravated me. In the end, I did like it but I don' think it is worth a re-watch and it would have been better if Pat put his foot down and made Elyse really work and put more of an effort into their relationship in the end. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I do not like that Run ended up with Feigh Long. Their relationship makes no sense to me and I don't get how we are supposed to understand and root for their toxic love when in comparison, Elyse was the much better and healthier choice for him.

On Bad Guy My Boss Dec 27, 2024
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS: I just finished the show and will say it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it but I did not love it. Although I did enjoy the main lead's performances and didn't mind their acting, I did wish their chemistry was more fiery and passionate. James, who plays Elyes, is very good at being charming and sexy but lacks in his performance regarding his emotional scenes of being scared or vulnerable. And I didn't mind Kad who plays Pat at all. I just really wish he emoted more. He used the same sheepish, shy smiles and facial expressions WAY too often. I love it when actors can be expressive with not only their faces but also their body language as it really adds to the character they are portraying and sells their performances to the audience. There were slightly too many sex scenes that didn't really add anything to the plot. I am the first one who doesn't mind sex in any television show or movie, but mostly when they are necessary or well executed. I felt like many of the sex scenes, although not explicit, were there as filler and were not plot-driven so there is that. It also would have been more entertaining to watch if Pat had way more of a backbone when it came to setting boundaries with Elyes and sticking to his guns. Most of the time, he would get annoyed regarding Elyes' behavior and treatment of him, but then a day later, Elyes would seduce him into forgiving him and all would be rainbows and sunshine until the next grievance and the cycle would repeat, and Elyes would barely have to work hard to earn Pat's forgiveness. That part of their relationship frustrated me to no end! Like, Elyes relies on Pat so much and literally can't live without him, but he can't actually work hard to earn Pat's love and loyalty when Pat finally has the guts to leave for good? SMH. And do not even get me started on the toxic waste that is Run and Feigh Long. I do not understand how so many people actually like them as a couple when Run's relationship with Elyes seemed happy, healthy, and full of love, and his relationship with Feigh Long was nothing but abusive, cheating, emotional blackmail toxicity! Like guys what the f*ck?!! Ok, rant and comment that turned into a review over.

lord god, this is terrible. I'm out before the end of the first episode, not because of the subject matter, which…
The show really wasn't that bad. The execution and writing definitely could have been better, and I felt like the genre bending was confusing, but overall, the show wasn't terrible. Just not very good. If there was a season 2, I'd watch it to see if it improved with hopefully more funding. I agree on that pointless, annoying AF teacher though

What's goin' on?
Ya, I agree. It does suck and it is saddening. But we don't know what's true or false and it's not our business to know. That's just facts. Everyone should know better than to believe the first things you see on the internet. It's so easy for things to be twisted and construed into make-believe, especially through social media like a gigantic game of "Telephone." Is it problematic? Ya, it looks that way. But we don't know why Joss follows those people and he also hasn't explicitly done or said anything either. So all im saying is, unless he do so, we as the audience don't have a right to be jumping down his throat all the time. If you no longer like him, then that's fine, don't watch the show or support him but no one has to bash him either. Go crazy and bash the homophobes, fascists, racists, incels but not people are fairly harmless.

What's goin' on?
Exactly if he follows certain assholes in America on social media then that's his business. Do I agree with those assholes he follows or do I like that he follows them? No, I do not. Do we know why he follows them? No, we do not. But it's none of mine or any of our business to know. Plus, I have more important things to focus on in my life than to begrudge an actor for things that have NOTHING to do with me. I just wanna watch my shows in peace. Like, that's why this whole ordeal is so dumb and blown way out of proportion unless we actually see Joss publicly commit or say something heinous. People just love to hate and have no backbone.

Welp, once again, random trolls just have to ruin everything. If this show gets delayed because of dumb idiots on the internet spouting bullshit and causing so much negative press for the show's MLs, I'm gonna lose it. They JUST finished filming and are moving on to post-production. We are so close to a release date, and now I am hearing rumors of a delay because of all this nonsense controversy? Give me a friggin break already. If Joss ACTUALLY did or said something then that is really bad and shame, shame, shame on him and his cows. But if not, and he just follows a few bad apples in America then why give a shit? How many people does he follow? How many followers does he have? Most likely, he probably doesn't pay that much attention to his follower count guys. If you are his fans, why are so many of you guys so quick to jump on the negative bandwagon and turn on Joss and judge him without any full-proof concrete evidence of his so-called transgressions? You don't have to like who he follows but he didn't do anything wrong. You guys are fans, not his friends, lovers, mother, or manager. You cannot tell him what to do or give him your unsolicited opinions or input so grow the hell up and keep your judgements to yourselves. This really is not a big deal.
