Speaking of which, was that very last scene in the finale meant to signal that Seong hyeon is a red flag all along?…
Ok, thank you for responding. That's what I thought too, and it's a nice send of to the story of this series 🤗🥰

Title Secret Relationships Spoiler
I'm bit confused about the timeline. It shows that Daon met Jaemin 11 years ago and Su hyeon 7 years ago. Then…
Speaking of which, was that very last scene in the finale meant to signal that Seong hyeon is a red flag all along? Or just that he met Daon first, and therefore, they were always meant to meet in present times and be together? Seong hyeon never showed signs of being a red flag, but maybe he just hid it like Jaemin did? I am a little confused. Did Seong hyeon remember Daon from his youth and that's why he's so infatuated by him in present times and is willing to go above and beyond for him against Daon's crazy best friends who are also in love with him or was their meet-cute as adults just fate and they've forgotten about each other? Because Daon sure as hell didn't remember Seong hyeon when he met him again in ep 1.

How much "high production" can they get for a TV show about balancing a relationship while juggling stardom in…
First of all, relax. I'm not trying to argue with you, I asked you a question so pay attention. Second of all, don't diminish my experience with BLs, simply because you watched hundreds or whatever. You have no idea how much I have watched or what my stance on them are, or how knowledgeable I am, so back off. All I am saying is that the show just started, and you're not really giving anything else about the show a real chance but saying you like it based on the actors chemistry. Which is fine! You have you're opinions, and I don't need yours to align with mine. It's not that serious, for God's sake. But like I said. How much razzle dazzle do they need to input to live up to people's high standards like yours? I don't know what they're budget is, but so far, after seeing only the 2 episodes, the production value seems to be of high quality, so what more do you want? I'm not gonna argue with you either, I don't care. I was genuinely curious, but after you're uncalled for bitch rant, now I've really lost interest. I'm moving on. And by the way, you're ridiculous dig about not liking your comment then not reading it makes no sense because how are people supposed to know what you are saying in the first place if we don't read your comment???

How much "high production" can they get for a TV show about balancing a relationship while juggling stardom in a toxic industry? What do you want exactly? Especially since only 2 episodes premiered? So far, it looks pretty damn good production-wise compared to a lot of other BLs out there. But like I said, it just started, so...

Girl they forgot the fact due to Kristen's bad acting the chemistry never came out well lolHere there were no…
O my god, you guys can like this show all you want, but I shouldn't have to ask you all in this thread to be respectful to other actors. You don't have to bring Kristen down just to uplift the actors of MGB. If you didn't like Twilight, whatever. But don't be assholes about her or anyone else, please. She was way younger back then, and she is a MUCH BETTR, heavily versatile and extremely talented actor now that she is more grown up and experienced. Plus, she wasn't even that bad in Twilight, but I guess we are gonna agree to disagree on that one. Also, let's not forget that she may have been following the direction's orders regarding her acting, so there's that. Please be mindful everyone, and show some respect.

Agreed, I was thinking the exact same thing! But I am lost because it seems we are the only two who feel this way. Which Pond is everyone else referring too? Are they related? I'm lost here.😓

am I the only one who thinks that Kim Soo-Hyun way of holding his phone is such an ick haha
What? Of literally all the things to notice and comment about in this show, the way a character holds his phone is the detail that catches your attention and irks you so much you need to comment about it? Really? Or is this just a sort of clickbait comment? 🤔

Idk, we international fans laugh about it sometimes, calling it the "toxic Thai rain." Maybe it has something…
It's mainly for Asian audiences, you don't really have to get it. I see where you're coming from regarding these tropes, but it doesn't matter if you've never done thme or seen them IRL. They are strictly used for the sake of the shows, as overused they may be. It's fiction. Romance. ESCAPISM NOT realism. If you see this all the time, surely people aren't dumb enough to think people in Asia actually act like they're living the lives of tragic lovers from a 1930s romance epic?

Exactly, it was Ozone's decision. Cir was 100% against the switch/trade but Ozone insisted and lamented that Cir deserved his freedom and happiness. The parents are the POS who can't their sh*t together. And I agree with everyone else regarding the mom. Why no consequences for her? What makes her so big, bad, powerful and untouchable that she can't go to prison and the boys can't escape her so their only choice is to switch places to appease her? Why could the writers answer these simple questions in the 10 episodes they gave us, especially if they were trying to make her a big, menacing baddie.

Uncut just means that some episodes are longer than the standard ~45 minutes made for TV version. It doesn't mean…
@KHarganne has a point though and there's nothing to debate. "Uncut" traditionally does mean mature themes and studios do exploit the term to lure in subscribers. If you're only going to add longer scenes or deleted scenes to shows that weren't included in the television version due to, let's say, runtime purposes, then call the new version "Extended" because Uncut has a reputation for meaning sex, violence, drug use, etc. So yes, it was safe to assume and expect NC in the supposed Uncut version, nothing graphic, but still. Especially since the novels are SO MUCH more graphic than the fluffiness of the show.

Yes! A role reversal of sorts would be fun to watch. I read a translation of what I think was a fairly recent…
YES!! We need that! I've been saying we need them in something grittier and darker-themed. Something to challenge them more so they can grow as actors and diversity their acting portfolio. They both have proven they can be dynamic through their other ventures in the industry, so as actors, why not give them that chance? So far, BossNoeul have only been in 2 series but they can easily be typecasted. However, they are very young, and very popular both locally and internationally, so they have must have a say on what roles they want and accept right? I wanna see Boss as a hardcore gangster and Noeul as anything other than his usual bubbly self. I love him to death in the roles he currently plays, but I wouldn't mind something completely different and new, and closer to his alter ego either. Just saying. This is the kind of fan service A LOT of us want.

I couldn't agree more! like I said in previous comments, with a plot such as this one, with characters such as…
Hi, ya I wouldn't say it's falling flat. I just think it needs more episodes to be fully fleshed out given its complexed plot. A lot of people have been confused throughout its run, and the pacing would actually be spot-on, even though Phu found out Cir's secret in EP.9 if we had 12-16 episodes to finish the story. With that many episodes, I believe even Jin & Wim's romance could have been developed better. Hell, we don't even know why Jin can read minds. I thought his power would be relevant to the parallel world 's plot but so far, nope. I think it's just his own thing, and relevant for his his plot and romance with Wim alone, otherwise, the story would have told us by now if it were.

I know the production team purposely left out some scenes for the box set, but I still feel cheated. The final episode hasn't premiered yet, but I cannot help but foresee it being rushed and anticlimactic. The special episode will be about Ep.8 Cir & his Phu, so once Ep.10 is over, we are done with the Phu and Cir we have gotten to know and love 💕 from this world. Which sucks.

We need more story to satisfy the plot. There's simply too much to tell with only one more episode, so I don't know what they're going to do. I also worry that Phu and Cir will reconcile too easily/quickly to move on and wrap on the many other subplots of the story even though the whole episode should be, realistically, dedicated to the fallout of the secret, Phu's anger and sadness towards Cir, their breakup, Phu coming to terms with it, and then their hopeful reconciliation. Time will tell

I couldn't agree more! like I said in previous comments, with a plot such as this one, with characters such as these, this show needs AT LEAST, 12 if not 14-16 episodes for a full out, well-paced, and conclusive story. All of the characters, including the villains would have their story arcs fleshed out, well thought character development, and enough episodes to display romances of the couples. There really is too much story left to tell and there is so little time. The show has been great this far and I am REALLY worried they will ruin it with a rushed ending and still leave a lot of loose ends unfulfilled.

Agreed. There are still a lot of loose ends to tie up in just the last episode, and I have a feeling they are…
Regarding Blackshirt Cirrus, thanks for trying to explain but I am well aware of who he is thanks to EP 8. I was watching, and paying attention so that's not the issue. What I meant was, in EP. 9, he seemed to be more in control of the other Cirs' comings and goings than he let on but maybe I am just overthinking it. About the car thrives, I must of missed that or have forgotten. I thought the students were just gossiping about things they had no idea about what was really going on, and after defeating them, I remember Cir saying, "as long as Phu is safe" so I thought they were trying to do something to his car, and subsequently Ph, but it makes sense they were just trying to break in to steal. Thanks for the information. I still think there are too many side plots to resolve in just one episode, but I guess we will have to see what happens.

I don't think Cirrus still thinks the parallel worlds are a dream. I believe he said that because he was protecting his secret since Phu was asking whether he saw the other Phu while he was "away".

Of course he is aware there are other parallel worlds. The problem is, he is still lying to Phu. I could be wrong about this, but it makes sense that he didn't want Phu to believe he was with the non-existent one from his lie, and then he'd have to make up a whole other story of his time in his fake OG universe, versus saying it was just some dream he doesn't remember, which is more believable and easier to get away with.

Also, I watched episode 9 preview from last week and we are missing a scene from when the are in the bedroom and Cir is about to confess. Am I wrong about that, or am I right? It was not in the uncut version either, so was that false advertising or is it saved for the box set, which is still false advertising because I was looking forward to watching that. Phu was wearing the purple version of his pajamas in the scene. Can someone help me out?

Me too, that's why I'm really worried. Out of all the BLs, this one really deserved at least 12 episodes. I don't know what they were thinking with the episode count. The show has been pretty stellar thus far. I don't want them to ruin it with a sloppy, rushed ending that ignores the finer details that really shouldn't be ignored. Those details makes the show stand out more than it does, and adds a refinement to its plot. Ignoring that or not addressing those details they introduced already is a big mistake.

I never read the book of this series, and I know that Mental Illness was a valid theory. But like @apathy said, in this thread, we are talking about episode 8 and onwards, as I said so in my earlier comments. Blackshirt Cir explained that parallel worlds exists and that there a infinite Cirs and Phus with different personalities who are destined to meet and fall in love. Yet, for some reason people aren't registering that fact and still think Cir is suffering from some mental illness in a supernatural show, with only 2 episodes left to go, and are still acting all confused and bothered, by making the plot more complicated than it already is or needs to be. It's frustrating.
