They're really going to do that on the last episode. Also only 10 episodes for a mind-bender show is crazy.
Agreed. There are still a lot of loose ends to tie up in just the last episode, and I have a feeling they are not going to address all of them, which I really hate because it's just pure lazy writing.
- Jin's mind reading dilemma around Wim and resolving their relationship conflict. - Cir's Mother and her interference in his and Phu's lives. - Is Cir gonna meetup with his father and get closure/resolve their conflict or let go of his resentment towards him? - What about Phu seeing his alternate in bed with Blackshirt Cirrus through a dream in EP. 1? The one Phu immediately forgot about upon waking up? - Are we going to get answers about those guys trying to kill Phu since the very beginning of EP. 1? What event led Cirrus to try keeping Phu safe from those guys meddling with Phu's car? (maybe they addressed this and I missed it). - Who is Blackshirt Cirrus really?
Like I said, there are so many questions and loose ends to be answered and tied up. I hope I'm wrong about them not addressing everything but I'm not gonna hold my breath since some of these loose ends have been introduced earlier on in the series and still haven't been acknowledged. This final episode better have the duration of a feature-length movie for everything to come into fruition, and have a conclusive end that satisfies the plot.
8 underrated??? Itβs too high !I smell a very biased BossNoeul fan ..You canβt even compare them. Kinnporsche…
Great response to the hater above! TBNW is a great show, and if you think it compares to KinnPorsche for your own reasons, then that's your business and no one else's. You don't have to defend yourself or justify why you like this show just as much as did KinnPorsche. TBNW is a fantastic piece of media as was KinnPorsche for vastly different and similar reasons for vastly different and similar viewers and fans. BossNoeul deserves their praise and success, and I respect the hell out of you for putting that hater in their place! Bravo! I cheered so hard and laughed my a$$ off in support of you when I read your comments. I agree whole heartedly ππΎπ€£π―ππΎ Bravo
I don't think they are, some are just probably watching from edits and waiting to watch the whole series once…
LOL, not gonna lie, I really enjoyed 4 minutes but that show did confuse the hell out of me. By the end, I was 90% sure I understood everything and what was happening to our MCs but now when I try to really think about it, I am lost. I need to go back and watch it again, especially before season 2 releases.
Also the scar on Cirβs head disappearing and reapppearing depending on which Cir it is. Phukans from 2 different…
I'm not trying to be rude either because Lord knows I'm not the smartest pea in the pod, but if I can understand this, I don't understand why others cannot? Like, in earlier episodes, I can see the confusion but now? With only 2 episodes left? No, I don't see how people still think Cir can't see his variant's parallel worlds/lives and believe this whole mess is summed up to a dream or mental illness. The variants in the parallel worlds are similar to reincarnation if you think about it. Plus, it was announced yesterday that there will be a special episode about Man-Bun Cir's developing romance with his nerdy Phu in late March, so if that's not a confirmation that there ARE parallel universes in a show called The Boy Next World, and that Cir can see them, as well as his and Phu's other selves lives' together, then I don't know what is ππ€·πΎββοΈ.
Also the scar on Cirβs head disappearing and reapppearing depending on which Cir it is. Phukans from 2 different…
Exactly! I don't understand some of these guys. They are telling us it's parallel worlds! They have SHOWN US and explained it. I don't know how much more clear they can be
Can people stop trying to have a fixed ship. I like some fixed ship and thats great but I feel like we don't need…
It's ok to be cast with other people for a romantic role, so long as they have really good chemistry. It's all about, and always will be about chemistry! Kong and Thomas have great chemistry, they seem to work well together, and people have gotten used to them. However, they are new enough to the public eye that both could venture out and work on other projects, together or separately, without causing too much fuss. So long as their coworkers outside their ship has good chemistry with them.
I don't know why so many people seem confused over the plot in the pilot and think it's all over the place because so far, it seems pretty straightforward. The only thing that is a little bit messy and tangled is the video game theme, and the love dynamics between the characters, but it doesn't seem too complicated as far as the plot goes.
PILOT TRAILER RECAP EXPLAINED/BREAKDOWN: From what I gathered, Tommy's character had his back up against the wall, or in his case, a ledge. He was facing a life-or-death situation against an unknown foe, so he took a calculated risk and fell? Next thing we know, he's back at university, all fine and dandy, except he's suffering from amnesia, but he's the talk of the town.
The school doesn't have seniority, instead, it is socially governed by four factions run by four influential students "Heads" who are in power so long as their families are most formidable and prosperous in the real world. The working class percentage of the university's student body is known as "Lice" and is meant to serve the Rich, the "Elites", who are as mentioned before, governed by one of the four Heads. Tommy is poor, so he is one of the Lice, and due to his amnesia, he cannot remember which Head he serves under. The majority of the pilot introduces each of the Heads, their awful personalities, Tommy's interactions with them, Tommy's re-acclimation to the school's environment, as well as some of the Head's degrading pastimes.
All four Heads seem to be vying for Tommy's servitude and are wondering which one of them he will choose to submit to. They hold a small conference for the four of them to discuss what to do about Tomm being currently"Headless." Meanwhile, Tommy is in the shower and Tutor's character joins him where they covertly discuss the beginnings of some plan to take down the school. That's when he's summoned, mid-shower to present himself to the Heads and make his decision on which one of them will, essentially, be his master once and for all π.
The audience is then given a quick refresher on Tommy's encounters with each of the Heads through flashbacks. Predictably, Tommy says F*ck you to them, turns his back, and walks out leaving them dumbfounded, amused, intrigued, flabbergasted, and angry all at once.
The last thing we see is Tommy's voiceover stating he will take down the school and its Heads once and for all. Although, he is definitely going to need a lot more help and allies than just Tutor's character if he's going to take on four incredibly rich, powerful, and influential soon-to-be rulers of Thailand π. The story looks good. It does seem like a mix-mashup of Elite, Pretty Little Liars, and Only Fans as a lot of other commenters pointed out. There will be sex, mystery, attempted murder, affairs, backstabbing, a**holes, b*tches, a lot of rich prisses with superiority complexes, authoritarian professors, toxicity, abuse, constant humiliation, traitors, and of course, secrets, and a whole lot of lies. Stay tuned! Although the video game thing is kind of out there. I am scratching my head on that one. But anyway, I hope this breakdown helps some of you or I just wasted my time recapping the trailer, and didn't help at all, lol.
Though Cir 3 was a bit of an Asshole, he did still care for Phu on some level, which was clearly shown. I really would love to see his relationship with his Phukan from his world develop and blossom now that they have finally met and we have witnessed their meet-cute. Watching the hardened, rebellious, musician Cirrus that we have gotten to know a bit about throughout episode 8, pursue and date innocent, well-mannered, nerdy, and soft Phukan is definitely something I would love to watch.
He reminded me way to much of Payu, especially with that hair in a bun. I think that might be the difference,…
Man bun Cir (Cir #3) is nothing like Payu, except for the mini-ponytail. Cir #3 is colder, harsher and a bit of a dick. He has a "ruff around the edges " rebel vibe going on, while Payu is warmer, kinder and a bit nicer but still stern and well-disciplined/mannered. I think you guys are confusing them because of their physical aesthetic similarities.
NAH im agree, I stopped at ep3 bcs almost all of the casts, their acting is still lacking & stiff. And there's…
You become a DMD actor and do better then. They're new. Give them a little grace. They'll grow with more experience and do better. Everyone's gotta start somewhere so there's no need to be rude. There's a right way and a wrong way to leave criticism or your opinion on why you did not like something. Your comments are awkward and cringe π³π€¨
yeah all this combined with the stiff acting from thomas made it hard to watch. the only reason i managed to finish…
Maybe because you keep putting down the show? Not everyone is going to agree and like the same things, especially regarding TV shows and how they tell their stories. But you don't have to keep coming here and talking about how awful and cringey it is. We get it. You didn't like it. Move on and stop spreading negativity. That goes for everyone else who didn't like it. You're ruining the mood for everyone who did like it. There are times where the show was very cringe and moments where the acting was stiff for various actors. But most of them are very new to the industry, so when Negative Nellies keep pointing out and laughing at their flaws you come off as basic, bitchy bullies.
To the chickens complaining about episode 7 NC scene being too short. Please rest and stop nagging, Itβs pathetic…
Although I can see where you're come from in a lot of what you said, to be fair, TBNW did hype of their official first time since their first meeting. Me Mind knows that BossNoeul is a very popular, electrifying pair who are really good a performing realistically looking NCs scenes.
Ever since Cir and Phu's first kiss, actually, ever since Phu fell on Cir in Ep.2 while checking his head wound, the production team has been emphasizing their amazing chemistry, and building up to their NC scenes little by little, breadcrumb by breadcrumb. They were being strategic, using these breadcrumbs as a sort of foreplay for the audience because they Know BossNoeul always delivers for their love scenes.
People do appreciate their acting talent, because the have clearly matured and grown as young men. But you can't blame people for being disappointed at being hyped up for something that didn't deliver. Compared to their other NCs, there seems to be a general consensus that their first time be just as long because people may have expected slow-rythym intimacy or lovemaking.
Phu was sad, but also touched by Cir's clear devotion and commitment to him so they finally gave in to each other's desire for one another but the scene came off as rushed as means to get to the final 10 minutes of the episode. People felt cheated. It also doesn't help that BossNoeul also hyped up the scene in interviews.
In hindsight, people aren't mad at BossNoeul because they're so horny and angry that they didn't deliver. The fans are well aware they aren't pornstars. They know the love scenes are simulated, many of them know they are just acting. But, they're mad at the editors for making it too short to compensate for the final 10 mins of the show at the the NC Scene's expense.
The facts are that Boss and Noeul are hot. Boss and Noeul know they are hot and desired, and they know what they signed up for when they agreed to film and act in these shows. They have off the chart chemistry and perform excellent NCs, again, as they are well aware of, and it's also what they're known for. So of course majority of they're audience are excited to see them figuratively hit the sheets and then be upset when they don't get what they expected. People have a right to be slightly disappointed.
But constantly whining about it is Overkill. Nevertheless, their first time by no means was poorly shot or acted. It was actually very well done overall, but it could have been edited a bit better if they absolutely had to shorten it for the box set.
Actually in the book she calls Phu. They have a conversation while Cir is talking in front of Phu's dad. So Phu…
Well that's the art of storytelling. There's always going to be a gamble regarding telling your stories to a mass audience and not everyone is going to like what you have to say. It's impossible to please everyone, so you have to be careful when finding a balance between including what is necessary to the plot and what isn't, as well as, how much "screentime" those scenes take up. Because it was the anniversary of Phu's dad's death, they definitely should have included another β€οΈ to β€οΈ phone call with his mother. It could have been quick, or they could have shown us the end of their convey with them exchanging I love yous. Anything to show the audience that the mom was thinking about Phu on such a sad day. I definitely think Phu's moms' inclusion in the episode was important, but again, other people are so opinionated and misguided regarding what is necessary and what isn't to the plot. Little details matter, as they add to character motivations and development. If people don't understand that from.a storytelling perspective, then that's their problem.
what do you mean? the fingers in the mouth is a soft kink, a display of dominance. Just because you don't get…
Didn't sound like it to me. That's why I responded to you. You should clarify, add specifics and details by what you mean next time as it did sound like you were kink shaming by saying the fingers in the mouth was bizarre or whatever. Although you are right. I did come off as aggressive, so I apologize. No one's hurt me. I just like defending others who I feel are being judged. You have your opinions and I have mine. Nevertheless, again, I am sorry for coming off as aggressive, but not for what I said.
oh wow i didn't know that! Boss would slay in that character omg what a bummer
Oh, ok my mistake regarding Boss and Santa's casting. Ya, it's a missed opportunity for sure. I'm sad about it, and I haven't watched any of the trailers because I don't wanna set my expectations too high for the actual series' run. I also agree about axing the sound effects. A show like this deserves and and goes hand in hand with more serious, mature aesthetic tones, themes, OST, and storytelling. Let's hope π¬
- Jin's mind reading dilemma around Wim and resolving their relationship conflict.
- Cir's Mother and her interference in his and Phu's lives.

I would love to have a season two where we could watch their relationship grow and flourish ππ€©. One can only dream. At least we have the knowledge and solace of knowing they will fall in love and be together forever, but I want to see it happen in reality. Although The Boy Next World is a fitting title, this show should have been called "Every You, Every Me" but Mick's show got to it first ππ . I can't wait for episode 9.
