I am pleasantly surprised at how good she was in this role. I have only seen her in Legally Romance and couldn’t stand the character she portrayed as her younger self, so watching her in another role hadn’t been a desire. She was very very good in this role, and her chemistry with Liu Yuning was

YESSSS!!! cut off the beard, glue his hands together and keep stealing his shoes…while making sure his pants fall off when he gets up from seated position. I do not like his character at all - especially since all his scheming is only for his own benefit but puts all the pressure on the Prince.

A whole lot of much! She had to filter on her words at any time and gossiped continuously! I am rewatching this and every time she appears on screen I fast forward through her scene 😂

Prince Xian really doesn’t want it - Zhang the advisor is trying to force him into the position and does a lot of vile things trying to pave the way. I want to snip off his beard so he can’t play with it anymore.

I agree on the music and majority of the characters - just not the FL’s best friend. I have never wanted to glue someone’s lips closed and then sew them together more than this character.

ugh. I hate it sometimes when I see little details that I shouldn’t - like snow that doesn’t melt when it touches skin, wheel and footprints not left in snow…round ‘peony petals’ that have a hanging thread in a close up. These things often take away my enjoyment for a drama because it makes me look for more.

What you say about age is the opposite for me. My mind still believes I am 30, but my body reminds me often that I am not 😂Age is truly just a number. The attitude of the heart and condition of the mind is more important than age 🫶

I agree. He is a real man. And I can say this with confidence as I am in my 60’s and have seen many men who were not manly. 😂

I also read he is a voice actor as well. And on a side note, his eyes 😍

You are correct. This is why he lies to cover up his feelings, and is forever running away but the grown man inside can’t stay away. His mother needs some serious discipline and a whole lot of tutoring on how to be a mother from ManNan.

That’s a brilliant actor. I thought from the Long Ballad that he was someone who would be initially overlooked because he’s not thought of as handsome by many people, but I could literally feel his charisma rolling off the screen and knew he was incredibly talented. I think he’s going to become better and better in everything he undertakes.

Same. I didn’t like her from her first introduction, and now I dislike her even more. Manipulative and a liar. 😡

I was a fan of Season 1, but one episode of Season 2 and I am already enthralled. Tan Jianci is phenomenal

I am double you age plus a few years, and agree completely. There is still an ugly disbelief that people who struggle with mental health issues should be holed up in a dark room and isolated from society. Just because we are plagued by depression or any other mental health issue doesn’t mean we don’t want to live a “normal” life and do what brings us joy.This little girl is one of the bravest people I have seen. To be so transparent in a culture that seems obsessed with perfection and standards for celebrities that are so rigid that one slight error could have them banned from the careeer they live and excel in is impressive in itself.I saw one clip that was taken during her recovery where she was sitting in her wheelchair looking out the window and moving the fingers on one hand with the other trying to make the victory sign after a photo was taken with her. You could read the emotions crossing her face as she tried to get them to cooperate. But what stood out the most was her smile when she finally got them where she wanted them. To me, that spoke volumes about her character and determination to survive.These gossip channels are infuriatingly rediculous. Their topics and unfounded implications demonize, accuse, discredit and thrive on the chaos they create. It’s too bad the authorities an aren’t as strict on those who spread lies as those they deem as guilty and those that speculate on and spread their vitriol.

I hope they get their problems worked out and that this show can be aired soon.

Wow. I am on episode 11 and know this probably won’t end well, but I am loving this so far. It’s complex, suspenseful, intriguing and a touch of humor thrown in to break the tension. I haven’t seen Esther Yu in a roll like this before, and I’m pleasantly surprised at her acting capabilities when she steps outside the rom-com box.
