Oncebtye completed their investigation, the compiled their findings into a lengthy report, which found inconsistencies in a lot of the information once thought to be fact. It is not a denial of what happened, but rather uncovered many things once overlooked.
There was also a connection to the gov’t that was quickly scrubbed from the internet.

So there might be lighthearted moments in a drama, but there are often satirical elements included to contrast reality with whimsy. It is sometimes a subtle way to contrast how a tragedy can also be the polar opposite. Fir example the little attempt by the co-worker to steal the boss and then blackmail him in return for his rejection was actually comedic…it was acstupud thingbto attempt. Sontge introduction of her demise might appear as something bad about to happen to the ML, it got flipped back on her. I hope that makes sense!
So watching this on Viki so only episode 3 & 4 but on scale of the stupidest things to do, the female antagonist…
Her attempt at blackmailing him made me laugh. Only her over-inflated vain sense of self-importance could actually make her delusional brain think she had something powerful enough to make him capitulate to her demands.

I just wish his retribution would have been a bit harsher to put the little vamp in her place where she could be reminded of her stupidity on a daily basis. But that’s probably not a good way to keep a drama viewable for a large age group 👀

I am all about the redemption of people and if they sincerely turn from their wrongdoing and repent while being accepting of their involvement in crimes…but this? No! Not one ounce of pity or mercy. I have actually prayed that any and every person who willingly, and happily participated in the things done to Yu Menglong meet a horrible end, and are abandoned by the demonic forces they serve and have to face what they have done to him and others with a clear mind and know that what awaits them in eternity is far worse.
