Our hearts could handle 26 episodes. Yes, we could be tough for today's episodes. 😭🤧
Have you seen the Reddit threads for Fated Hearts? Comments have been exploding for each duo-episodes recap, easily soaring past 200 comments per post.
The only useless team member in Feng's family. The script writer!! I usually hate the enemy so much, but this one…
The scriptwriters are doing a very good job of retaining all key traits and issues of various characters plus certain events from the novel (including the annoyingness of Xiyang), while changing everything else such as improving all other characters and relationships... while likely sacrificing one character. Novel-Xiyang might make you want to throw something through the window when she started believing the Jinxiu Emperor's story about Fu Yixiao and Ning Fei. Then when Novel-Xiyang betrays XJS a second time, this second time involves her brother and Fu Yixiao as well and she could have gotten them all killed including herself.
The scriptwriters did a very good job for the character of Feng Suige. I told my guzheng teacher this is Chen Zheyuan's best drama (she is a Chen Zheyuan fan and I'm not) where he is doing very well in it, and this drama will be timeless.
I don't disagree with you on his enunciation. But the lines he was given to deliver was boring at least half the time, which I struggled to pay attention to. There are many more issues pertaining to production and post-production (of which I summarised the main gist), and I find it odd that he's being lambasted for everything that went wrong with this drama. I don't care for fan wars, which I think are ridiculous. So many awesome collaboration ideas cannot be produced today, sometimes due to such fan wars.
If the Directors and Screenwriters for Fated Hearts had been responsible for Fushanhai, the results would have been much better. I read the novel for Fated Hearts, and I am impressed with how they carefully maintained key elements, key events, and key traits of various characters yet changed 75% of the novel for the drama (the novel was mediocre and a mess at certain parts) and managed to make almost every character plus relationships between all characters better (including characters invented for the drama). Layered with themes, characters are all complex yet understandable, plot pacing is great and despite minor flaws, definitely a timeless drama for which the FL and ML will be recommended muchly in future.
Fushanhai is not easy to adapt, and the directors and screenwriters were clearly not up to the mark. The two brothers were one-dimensional, and I struggled to find chemistry between Tang Rou and Xiao Qiushui.
I want to ask is there anywhere in the novel FSG was kept in cage nd got beaten?
Being caged and beaten is not in the novel. Murong Yao, Murong Zhong, the Storm Alliance and Feng Suige getting stabbed like this do not exist. There are major changes from the novel, at least 75%.
So true~ He's the most righteous out of all the fathers we've seen in the drama. Today's episodes really went…
If Feng Suige wants to save Xiyang from the craziness of two half-brothers clashing, he will need enough backup to enter Jinxiu Kingdom and leave (even if it is done stealthily).
We have seen that Xia Jingshi's methods of success involve cutting off any escape paths and completely swallowing the enemy for elimination. He'll be doing the same thing to Xia Jingyan, and that day is not far away given the antidote halves he has been hoarding. Xiyang isn't astute enough and should she divorce Xia Jingshi without a backup plan, her death will be justified to him because ever since she insulted Yixiao until he snapped and slapped her, I have a feeling he feels obliged to defend the honour of the only woman he loves and rectify the insult.
Get a seatbelt and a ton of water. The screenwriters are going to up the pacing as the drama progresses.
They are doing a very good job. I read the novel and can compare the differences. This drama is actually giving me more mental work than "Mobius", and that was definitely a good drama this year for sleuthing.
Expect main characters and side characters to resemble onions of different sizes. This will be a very complex onion stew. Enjoy watching!
Ngl one of my best scenes so far has been when the crazyass jinxiu emperor knocked some sense into the princess.…
He treated her as someone with accountability which is rich, coming from someone like him. He's probably the first person who treated her like an adult responsible for her decisions.
Its the cut, maybe they really dont want the romance to be the focus. Everything about the drama is great, the…
This drama will age well. 10 years from now, it will be one of the first few historical cdramas coming to mind, if one is asked to suggest a strong FL.

We have 12 episodes left, and the scriptwriters are going at breakneck speed to wrap up loose ends, still tightly maintaining control. And it looks like the fires will ignite in Jinxiu as well, for the next two episodes.

The Emperor has just realised that the woman he kept trying to defeat kept him alive. He lost his son, in trying to shape him in the only ways he believed were best for creating an Emperor.
Those two emotional blows were likely what made him decide to let Murong Zhong go. Did the Emperor have someone record down what Murong Zhong confessed about Murong Yao?

Physician Ling Feng being asked to save him, by the wife he indirectly killed truly burns. Feng Pingcheng grew up in poverty and a refugee camp, and it is understandable that he came to believe in the need to fight and seize power. Whatever regret he feels now, he still wants Suige to take the throne and he believes a general amnesty will suffice.
Many messes happen because of decisions made when we don't have the pieces. This happens everyday. This drama nicely encapsulates all the messy grey shades of humans and decisions.

His world came crashing down on him, the moment he stared carefully at the four females in black who had come with his son and killed two innocent men, who refused to heed his orders except for one look from his son. Superb acting.
At least Murong Yao finally got the disciplining he deserved. That said, you can see how conflicted Murong Yao felt. Zuo Ye deserves a big role in another drama.
If there's one parent I feel the most for at this point, it is Murong Yao's father. The actors as fathers in this drama are giving superb portrayals that elicit specific emotions, whether it is PM Zhuang, Feng Pingcheng, or Murong Zhong. Also, kudos to Zuo Ye interacting with the actor who plays his father.
