But...but...LeYan scared of Hou Du as she witnessed he kill a man and his intention to kill her best friend. She loves ShuYu at the beginning...it's already contradicting the facts but the writer choose to make it more interesting. I love LeYan and Hou Du, a delicate weak timid beautiful royal princess with a tough reserved cold-heart guard.

Freedom of expression (and speech) is hard to defy even though it's hurtful or inappropriate, they have the same right to express their distastefulness as much our admiration to this drama especially this is a public forum that we can jump in and express our mind about the drama we love/hate or comparing to other drama because we are what we are. Love..love the OST. ZZH ang GJ sang a song together in Tian Ya Ke, Liu YuNing (he's in the Long Ballad - Hou Du) in Tian Wen and ZZH single in Lonely Dream. Oh yeah, watch it...it's amazing story and undeniable chemistry between the actors...

One thing though they now taking in endorsement deals and cover magazines. They took in lipsticks, foundation, jewelry, products that we girls like. As a big fan, I really want them to be normal self again instead of beautify into another Zhao Zhi Xu. I guess it's whatever.

I think I agree with the term 'tsundere' for Ah Xu..

We all know good men are rare spices. Lol. I am going to talk about Wei ShuYu because we don't give him credit to what he's been protecting. In the earliest episode, Hou Du threaten Wei ShuYu....he'll kill all 9 generation of his family that scared him to death. Wei ShuYu had also have conversation with his dad and told him it's up to him if he wants to work for Li HeMin. He did throw arrow to ChengGe to protect her than Hou Du pull the trigger. ChengGe broke up their friendship without giving him chance to explain himself. He got beat up and jailed. ShuYu tried to take LeYan back to the palace but Hou Du told him to scram off ...so far I have seen good things about him but I am only on ep 12. I don't know yet in next episodes...but I hope he'll stay good. He made a choice to protect his family...he tried to tell ChengGe that Li HeMin wasn't a bad person and told her to come back in peace with him. I can't trust Wei ShuYu too when his partner is Hou Du who determined to kill ChengGe. We all pleased over the hill with Hou Du but he had the authority to kill ChengGe...Wei ShuYu was only his minion.

No matter how good the make up Zhang ZiYi wore or the title of best actress she was, she couldn't cover her maturity of 40 something woman to a girl of 15-16 years old. Because her maturity reflected through her eyes and smiles so she didn't pull off the role. The bad thing about Rabel Princess was because Zhang ZiYi in her 40th, the rest of the cast members were age appropriation, none of them younger than their 30th. Age didn't matter? But apparently matter for the whole production team...judging from the casting. Story line? What so interesting about it? Been watching the same different line of story from many other Imperial C-drama...typical. I think as an audience we need to reform of our thinking to rationale a story...so our entertainment will improve their quality and actors/producers/directors/the whole team would do their best to create great dramas as we audiences demand it. In my opinion we should say it as it is. if it's great or awful or bleh...or nar...or amazing because we're investing our time watching these dramas and we pay money for memberships, internet, etc.

I wonder what will happen with Wei ShuYu and Li LeYan although I love the relation develop between LeYan and Hou Du..they both have amazing chemistry. I bet Hou Du would have to go through hell and back if he wants to pursue LeYan. He's a nobody...I don't know if he has the courage to express his true feeling towards LeYan. I don't want him sacrificing himself for LeYan just to show how much she really meant to him. Oh....dang!! Jinx! Knock the wood.

And many of them live through their 70th and 80th...

I got 'spiteful' comments too because I stated it base on different perspective from majority. They all forget that this is an open forum and we can honestly write anything what we think. I don't rate this drama high, not as low as 6.4, but not much higher than 8. I love Zhao LuSi, Liu YuNiang, Leo Wu in here, their acting are amazing...I understand Alen Fang's character although he didn't get much love from the fans. In my opinion if someone has the freedom showing their love and admiration to the drama, why can't we have the same privilege to express our different perspective? We are still long way to finish line, still many episodes to go, the story lines change unpredictably and the production may prove me wrong. Beside, criticism is good for the production team to reevaluate what's good or bad they've been doing.

It's a beautiful song. Zhou Shens has alot good thing going, his song 'Be together' theme opening song for the Sword and Brocade was also the best song.

You can wait till the end of episodes, meanwhile you can watch something else, or alternate dramas in between like what I do.

I would never imagine Zhao LuSi as Li LeYan, a totally different character than she used to (remember Chen Qian Qian?) she said she wanted to take in different character and roles that out of the box and Li LeYan just it. She's really good, I don't know why but I love the way she cries....combination of heartbreaking teary cry with innocent spoil girl cry. I love the way she sobs...poor Hou Du was defeated by her womanly (or girly) pleading or smile or weakness or even her determination and look. She wrap him around her finger...poor poor man Hou Du.

I really hope Hou Du will soften up to the world. He knew no matter what he feel about LeYan, he has to take the most difficult and hardest path to choose. Poor guy, my heart goes to them, hope they both have the happy ending.

OMG..it's your fault! I clicked and watched it! Hou Du wasn't the bouncing guy who dance with Donald Duck...great voice though! Go..yay...go Liu YuNing!!
