The ending was a bit unsatisfying, after all that happened in that last ep, I feel like I deserved an episode…
I feel the same way. I love everything else about the drama but was a little disappointed with the rushed ending. They could have cut at least a few minutes if gunfire in exchange for some fluff at the end.
EPISODE 10 Wow, I just need to express my disappointment with the FL! She is really undeserving of the ML. I get that she has no control over what comes out of her mothers mouth but she could have done more to stand up for her boyfriend and her relationship with him. And to top it off, she left with her mother after all the horrible things her mother said to her boyfriend. When it was the other way around and his mother spoke terrible things to her and she left, he left with her. He didn’t stay with his mother and let her leave alone. He wasn’t even there to hear what was said but knowing it was enough for her to leave, he left with her. She, on the other hand, was there and heard all the hurtful things her mother said and she still left him. I’m sure her mother had her reasons to say these hurtful things to end their relationship and protect her daughter but I’m just so disappointed in the FL. She doesn’t deserve the ML.
I would be so de embarassed to have my Mother talk to my boyfriend the way she did in ep10.... So much poor education…
I felt like she should have stood up for her boyfriend more when the mom was saying all those horrible things. Then she left with her mom too! When his mom said hurtful things to her and she left, he didn’t stay behind with his mom and let her leave on her own. He clearly made it known that he chose her.
I have a very unpopular opinion here…although I’m enjoying this drama, I’m not feeling the relationship between Shifu and Haishi and would like her to end up with someone else instead. There is a HUGE ick factor for me. Although she’s grown up and a woman now, she was a young girl when she met Shifu. She went through a very traumatic event losing her father and almost her life. She was saved by Shifu and became his disciple. I’m sure she looked up to him not only as her master but also a father figure. She grew up and her feelings for him developed and evolved but I still can’t get over the fact that she was a young girl when she met him. Shifu, Haishi and Zhuaying are like a “family” so Shifu and Haishi together just doesn’t sit well with me.
Can someone tell me what the relationship is between Yoon Jae Gook and Shin Yoo Joeng, the director of the department store? Is she a close family friend?
Such a beautiful set of comment very much justifies how he came back for her. Its not like he knows that its his…
He must have been conflicted since finding out she was his brothers love but by that time, he had already fallen for her. Its obvious he admired and loved his older brother so I can’t imagine how he must have felt. Guilt? Betrayal? It must have been a difficult choice to follow his heart and pursue her.
I think people forget that the ML is only human and not perfect. The fact that he isn’t perfect and has selfish desires makes him all the more real. Yes, the right thing should have been to tell her that her ex was his brother and who died. However, he has fallen so hard for her since meeting her. She intrigues him and he can see that she’s been hurt in the past and has no faith in love or men. He wants to break down her walls and love her the way she deserves to be loved. She is so guarded towards him and hides her true feelings but she can’t deny the attraction she feels towards him. I love his persistence and goes after what he wants. If he remains this way throughout the drama, he’ll surely break down her walls and love her like no one else can.
Everything you described about the transitions, music, pauses is spot on. The episode felt a little jagged, like…
I also think the first episode was choppy. They tried to portray a fast-paced fashion industry but the transition between the scenes was executed poorly. It was a little confusing at times.
I thought she did a good job. The part she is playing (no attachment, non emotional, work-a-holic) probably turned…
I completely agree with your assessment. I get they are trying to portray a career driven, no nonsense type of woman but I was so put off by how cold she was. After everything he does for her, she acts so indifferent towards him. Not to mention, he barely met her and he’s done so much for her already. She can show a bit more appreciation towards him. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the episode and looking forward to more.
Alright….just finished the drama and I’m here to vent my frustration over the sloppy ending. I knew going into this drama the editing towards the end was terrible and boy, was that an understatement. They should have either edited better or brought the cast back to reshoot. What a disappointment!
If not for Bai Lu and Xue Kai, I wouldn’t have stuck with this. I just love their acting and chemistry.
I started this because there were so good comments about it and the ratings are also good. But like more high rated…
I agree. As an alien that is a higher being, she is dumber than the average human. Where’s the intelligence? She lacks common sense. She’s pretty much an idiot. She has super powers but always fails to use it the time calls for it. The ML is equally as bad. He’s immature and petty. If you like dramas that lack common sense and have a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunications throughout the whole story, this drama is for you!
I get that the ML is a powerful, hot shot CEO but what’s with him pushing and shoving her? He practically throws his jacket at her several times, shoves a flower bouquet in her face, pushes her against a wall, shoves her off the bed, forcefully grabs her several times. Is it really necessary to show his power by treating a woman like that? Yuckkkkk
I’m on a Xu Kai binge right now. I can’t get over how hot he is. I love his character….and his hair. So sexy from head to toe. Also very impressed with the costume in this drama.
