Enjoyed this drama very much, watched the Korean version before and it was super good but this one was more gentle and it didn't make me feel the toxicity of the bad characters so painfully (guess it was more digestible). I think both are worth watching! And the romance story and characters - it felt quite mature.

One thing that always bugs me in a scenario with broken brakes is that there is still the handbrake! Did no one…
or even engine braking by shifting gears down. lmao guess they didn't learn

I enjoyed this one more than the korean version. FL did such an amazing job. Her acting is top tier. So natural. A bit dissapointed about how ep 8 ended.

You have to remember most of these decisions had to balance out perfectly to the original story line. Key events…
i didn’t think of that! very good point

kinda annoyed at how it took them 10 years to get engaged lol... yall went through all that, what took you so…
You have to remember most of these decisions had to balance out perfectly to the original story line. Key events had to happen regardless of who was involved or fate got angry. They had to wait ten years to start their new lives cause they had to follow fates rules. Those ten years did not belong to them. Only the time after 2025 did.

This was a nice watch. It managed to differentiate itself from the original Korean version. There was a subtle-ness to it compared to the mankjang of the Korean one (both had different directions which were good in their own way).
However I really wish they had kept in the strength of the FL and ending of the Korean one. I didn't like that towards the end the FL went back to being weak (and letting the ML handle everything for her) and the way they ended things for the antagonist. I definitely prefer the Korean ending because of that.

Fully Remake??????
I actually disagree with the comment made by the other user. This one is a pretty good adaptation and actually ties the loose ends that were left hanging in the Kdrama version. The tone of the drama is different. Here things are more serious as compared to it's Korean counterpart. Also few scenes have been shown a little differently as the culture in both the countries happen to be different.

totally depends on what your mood is.

yes, but Korean version is way better
Honestly speaking, I’ll give my final verdict after I finish watching the Japanese version. Right now, I’m at episode 4, and it’s hard to say which version is better. But hats off to the Japanese creators and staff for making changes according to their culture. Honestly, if it had been an exact replica, I would have disliked it. And I might not have been the right person to judge this drama, because the first-time experience is always different

You all were right, the Japanese version is wayy better than the original. I came here for Takeru Satoh but stayed for the FL. I'm honestly going to miss this drama *sob

Say more about this. I put it on my watch list, but I'm willing to take it right back off if it's les-phobic.
hi it's not homophobic at all (although the mother is disapproving for most of the movie) but it's just not a romance movie and the lesbian couple are not the main characters. the movie is really more about the mother
